    10" Chicken Spiedie Pizza

3.5-4 stars! We were able to easily make a reservation for four people when we wanted to watch a sporting event together. They had some surrounding TVs. Their menu and drink selection was plentiful - the Bull City Apple Cider was amazing! We ordered the soft pretzels and chicken pizza. Everything we ordered was pretty average and yummy but nothing to write home about. Very lovely and timely staff, clean environment, easy parking - but I wouldn't rush to return, nothing special.

This was our first trip here. Atmosphere was that of a typical tavern. Hostess was friendly and we were able to be seated promptly on a Saturday night (party of 2). Appeared clean and our waiter was attentive and helpful. Drinks were really good, probably the star of our experience. We ordered the hot Carmel Apple and a blackberry bourbon drink. Both were delicious. I loved the option of getting my caramel apple hot because it was super cold outside. Food was okay for bar food. We started with the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. They had a nice crunch and were very tasteful. Unsure if they are made in house or from frozen so I guess that's good! I ordered the blackened burger as it comes, well done. It came out a little more pink than I like but I ate it as is. I enjoyed the flavor of the pico and queso on the burger. My husband ordered the chicken pot pie. He was not impressed, he said it was very salty and he did not care for the topping.

A group of us came here for dinner before going to see the Charlie Brown musical. Despite being early, it was still very crowded and difficult to get in and out of one small door with people trying to come in while others are trying to exit. There's plenty of parking because it's in a large strip mall. We had a reservation so we were seated quickly. The huge menu was already on the table which was helpful. They have appetizers, salads, sandwiches, soup, tacos, wings, burgers and some entree dishes. A lot to choose from. The noise level is very loud so it was hard to have a conversation with anyone except those who were seated right next to me. I had the fish and chips with fries and a tiny cup of coleslaw. The fish was a good size and a decent portion ( there's an option of 2 or 3 pieces). It was cooked nicely but really lacked flavor. I tried by adding a ton of malt vinegar but still was just missing some flavor in the breading . Good fries and lots of them. Tiny coleslaw was ok. Tea was good and not overly sweet. My friends had the shrimp dinner, the Monte Cristo sandwich and a chicken wrap. The shrimp were " good but very salty". The Monte cristo was good and the best thing about the chicken wrap was the chicken. They have a special marinade for the chicken that's different. Prices were reasonable except for the tea. I would only return if in a group and would request outdoor seating in hopes it would be quieter.

Wow... the service as soon as we walked in has been great. Place is packed yet we were greeted right away and a booth opened up for us. Our server Jessie is cute and bubbly and very helpful with accommodating my special requests too. We enjoyed a couple specialty cocktails and I had the chicken Greek salad and my husband had the Southwest chicken wrap with chips. Everything was delicious and even though it was busy, the atmosphere was pleasant. Seems like many were enjoying the Sunday games on all the TV's while others were just here to enjoy family time.

Great spot! We had lunch there last weekend and sat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and we enjoyed the chatter of the bar. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and homemade chips. It was delicious! Solid staple when in Raleigh.

Monte Crisco is worth the visit here. The special was also yummy. Croissant with turkey bacon and avocado.

Came here for lunch today with my wife and we were both pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away. It was fairly loud inside so we took a seat outside. The food and drinks both arrived soon after we ordered. We started with their chorizo dip with pita chips, which really hit the spot. I was a big fan of their Tavern Pasta with shrimp and an even bigger fan of their Painkiller cocktail. Honestly there were at least a dozen things on the menu that I'd be interested in trying. Everything we tried was extremely salty so maybe be careful if you have sodium issues, but it sure tasted great.

    Mile high burger.

The bar area (with plenty of tables for dining) was packed and looked cozy, but the main dining area is huge and had only a few tables in use. We questioned our restaurant choice, but decided to keep an open mind and give it a try. We are so glad we did! The food was really good. Nice presentation and clearly, whoever prepared it is truly passionate about their job. The portions are large, so expect leftovers. We ordered a fried shrimp appetizer (similar to bang bang shrimp) and a chicken quesadilla as starters. Each could have been a meal on its own and both were delicious. (It's typical bar food - but done well.) For our main dishes we ordered Shepherds Pie (server's recommendation and favorite menu item ), Northern Fish Fry (cod); and a simple cheeseburger with bacon.. everything was tasty, nicely prepared, and again...large portions. The Shepherds Pie came with fresh steamed veggies that were wonderful and a nice surprise. *Note that cod is the Northern Fish Fry- but they also offer a catfish version. The wine was 50% off both by the glass and bottle, I believe that is their typical Saturday drink special. They have a prime rib special on Saturdays as well that is supposedly delicious, and served only until they run out. There is an 8oz or 12oz option. The server was fantastic as well. She was very attentive, knew the menu, and clearly enjoys her job. What more can you ask for? Prices: Our total bill (before tip) was $127 which included a couple drinks from the bar for each of us. The dinners we ate ranged from $16-$20. The starters were a bit pricey (~$18 for the quesadillas) but again, it was meal size and truly delicious. If you are hungry for a burger or typical Irish bar food, then give this place a try. Hopefully you'll have an experience similar to ours! (Our server was home from college for the holidays, so hopefully the rest of the staff is equally attentive.)

The two of us eat at Over the Falls regularly and always enjoy it. I'm honestly surprised I hadn't written a review before. Lunch for two came to $65.80 + tax and tip, and there was more than enough food. I ordered one of my two favorites: the Ahi Tuna Pita (the other favorite is the blue cheese burger). I paired it with a side salad and blue cheese dressing, plus an unsweetened iced tea with lemon. My wife ordered The Barrel, their Philly cheesesteak, with a side of sweet potato fries. We also shared an order of house-made potato skins. It was far too much food, in a good way, and we took plenty home. Service was outstanding and truly a team effort. One moment stood out: when my wife hesitated to ask for sour cream for the potato skins, our server immediately said, "It's just 15 steps, let me get it for you." That small gesture made a big difference. The rest of the team was equally warm, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance works perfectly for us, lively, busy, and welcoming without feeling chaotic. I would be confident ordering virtually anything from the menu. We'll keep coming back.

Outstanding Wake Forest Eatery…read more Over the Falls features award-winning Specialty Salads, Sandwiches, Burgers, Pizza, Wings & Entrees; plus 12 Craft Draft Beers along with an Extensive Bourbon List, Handcrafted Cocktails & Mules. It's always crowded, does not accept reservations and does not have a bar or inside waiting area. You must register with the hostess, then wait outside (or in your car) until you receive a text that your table is ready. While this is inconvenient and unpleasant, the mouthwatering food is worth the trouble. One of our favorites is the Three Sisters Salad- which includes a generous scoop of either House-made Chicken Salad, Avocado Chicken Salad or Tuna Salad (we chose the Avocado), plus a large mound of Broccoli Salad, Fresh Fruit and a Flakey Honey-drizzled Croissant. Another winner was the Flash-fried Calamari & Banana Peppers. The substantial serving of Rhode Island Calamari was crispy, oh so tender and perfectly seasoned - with Thai Chili and Marinara dipping sauces. We also recommend the Cali Pastrami Sandwich and the Bacon & Cheddar Cheeseburger. Both come with a Pickle & either House-Made Potato Chips, Tortilla Chips, French Fries, Macaroni Salad or Cole Slaw. The NY Navel Pastrami was topped with Fried Onions, Habanero Jack Cheese, Chipotle Mayo and Avocado and piled high on a flaky, chewy golden brown Pretzel Roll. The big juicy Burger included Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion and several slices of crispy Bacon.

The decor in The Winchester Pub is unique in the fact that they don't have all the stereotypical, tacky beer signage that others have and the bar is completely handmade by Kevin himself (it's gorgeous). Their selection of beers on tap is primo -- you won't see any of the over-served blah beers of other bars. Instead, you'll find a finely curated selection that boasts a variety of tastes. If you're not into beer, there are also a few bottles of wine you can choose to have a glass of. There's a small selection of canned brews you can purchase from the display case in the front of the pub, back of the pub, and in the refrigerated unit in the rear, as well as cider, spiked coffee malt beverages, alcoholic seltzers, and beer kegs. Surprisingly, there's even some bagged coffee! If you fancy bringing some pub merch home, there are branded mugs for sale. Above the bar, there are mounted TV screens, perfect for enjoying local sports games (especially European soccer matches on the weekends). Plenty of backed barstools surround the bar, and there's a line of round, leather-topped stools along the back wall. If stools aren't your cup of tea, there are two cozy leather couches you can lounge on: one in the front (by the entrance) and one in the back (next to a pool table)! If you're not craving any booze, there's a water cooler in the front of the pub and canned sodas in the fridge (Sprite and Coke). If you're feeling playful, there are couple of board games on the one of the beer display shelves by the entrance (beneath the framed red jersey). I'm more of a cider kind of girl, so Kevin suggested a fantastic, locally-owned cider out of Pittsboro, NC: "Chatham Cider Works Highway 64". It was sweet, light, bubbly, and strong, especially at 10% ABV (so, watch out!). My husband and I both sampled the "Fullsteam Igor Cake" Pastry Stout (9% ABV), which was super sweet. Hubby ended up ordering the "Casita Home Sweet Home" Imperial Stout (10% ABV), which had a cake-like flavor, was super smooth, and not too sweet. No foods are currently served here, but there are some snacks for sale behind the bar and you are more than welcome to bring in your own noms to accompany any drinks your order. From the cooler, I bought and tried: - Brown Bomber Mocha Hard Latte - flavored malt beverage (5% ABV) made with 100% Arabica coffee and milk. It's recommended to shake well and serve over ice. It was soooo creamy, chocolatey, and delicious -- you can't even tell that there is alcohol in it! - Brown Bomber Vanilla Hard Latte - same as the previous, but vanilla-flavored - Sound Craft Rosé Seltzer (5% ABV) - super smooth and tasting of freshly pressed blackberries, I could not tell that there was alcohol in it! If you're looking for a cozy spot to throw back a pint as you unwind from work, you've found the perfect place!
