This was my first time visiting since the restaurant changed from Leesville Tap Room to Ruckus Scratch Kitchen and I had a great time! I came with some girlfriends for an impromptu girls day lunch. Ruckus has a ton of options on their menu, so everyone got to try something different. Our server was nice and the table was comfortable. Double Pepperoni & Hot Honey Pizza: Good pizza! I loved the mix of savory, sweet, and spicy. I got a large so I could bring home leftovers, and it was a huge pizza. Sushi: I was scared to order sushi at a pizza restaurant... but my friends let me try some of theirs and it was really good! I would definitely order a roll if I'm in the mood for sushi the next time I'm here. Ranch Bacon Chicken Wrap (Blackened) with Sweet Potato Fries: My friend really enjoyed her meal. She let me try a bite, and the blackened chicken was really tasty. The sweet potato fries are good, but the classic fries are even better! My friends baby was baptized and afterwards we wanted to grab a bite to eat. Searched for restaurants nearby and saw Ruckus. Scratch Kitchen's typically cook onsite fresh food daily and have a certain vibe/decor. Even though they are in a strip mall, they had a cool outdoor searing area which would definitely be night in the evening and after. When we walked in, my friend asked... is this a sports bar? There was a pretty cool bar that is offset and plenty of tables for dining. TV's aroumd with sports playing. Not as 'fancy' as other scratch kitchens I've been to. The food was AMAZING! The brisket quesadillo was packed with tender meat and flavor. My friend and I shared a small salad with gorgonzola cheese and one of the best balsamic vinegarette dressings I've had. The short rib gnocchi was tender and delicious and a large portion. Lastly, the Oscar the Grouch sushi roll had 9 pieces and hit the spot. I want to like this place because I enjoy the food and service at their store in Morrisville - particularly the vegetarian items. The food here is still good, but the overall experience falls short. This one is noisy, open, disjointed, and uninviting. They could use some room division to create an intentional atmosphere - the space has a ton of potential. A wall to block the hot summer and freezing winter air from blasting into the high top area would go a long way. There were people arguing through the side door, letting in a lot of cigarette smoke. Not sure why designated smoking is at a door rather than farther away, but it is what it is. Thankfully the manager stepped in, but it made for a very unpleasant experience. Note that the menu is smaller than their other shops, check if they even have what you expect. With this limited menu I find myself going to other restaurants in the shopping center to keep things interesting. So close to being a great neighborhood go-to, but it falls short... even by the standards of their other locations. But give them a try - everyone has different expectations! read more

Our run group book club chose Ruckus for our April meetup and it was a perfect spot! They had our table for 10 set up and ready for us when we arrived. Service was friendly and quick, even though they had another larger group at the same time. The food was delicious and it was a nice setup for our chatty group!!! read more

Went there last weekend. It was great. Staff was nice and food wasn't bad at all. Ordered 18" pizza and had two apps for four of us (husband, me and our youngest two kiddos who are in college and home for a visit). All good and left smiling. Our server told us that several drinks weren't available bc they just got their liquor license a few days prior. We didn't care. We aren't expecting Michelin star service and food, just a laid back atmosphere with decent food and even better company! Tons of screens to watch a game or two as well. We will go again. It's nice to have more options in our Leesville community. read more

Stone cooked Filet was delicious but since I enjoy rare steak I barely used the stone....lol. Steak was fantastic!! The asparagus was yummy (wish there were a few more) and the wine was great house wine selection. Our waitress was fantastic!! She was super helpful and attentive even though she had some big tables. this is a great place for some beer and great food! we sat outside since it was actually cool for once. they had some couches with a fireplace for casual drinking and snacking. we ordered chicken tenders and pizza. the chicken tenders were juicy and crispy. the ranch was to die for. we had to order another side of ranch! pizza was delicious and the hot honey balanced out the spice. $5 domestic drafts for the most part and some local brews on draft too. they also have a buckets worth of hot sauces to spice up your meal! our server was friendly and professional and checked on us frequently. read more

Malea was our server for lunch on 23AUG2025 and she had great energy and kindness when she greeted us. My wife had the Southwest skillet and I had the Philly cheese steak skillet. The End All Burger was always my go to (at the Tryon Village location). Unfortunately, 4/19/26, I was disappointed. The burger (bun) was smaller (like a McDonald's size bun) & the side order of broccoli wasn't seasoned & cooked well as usual. The burger was still tasty, but for approx. $17, I expected the same wonderful food experience as before. My daughter had a softball game on this side of town so we popped in here for dinner. We loved it! Brandon was our waiter and probably one of the best waiters we have ever had even though he said he is usually in the kitchen. We didn't love the tuna nachos but I don't like seaweed, so that may be why. The burger was great and they had the best Alfredo sauce I've ever had in my life! I need that recipe! We had lots of fun and service was great! We were disappointed, however, with the lack of any vegetarian or vegan options. So many places offer at least a Beyond burger option or a black bean burger, and/or at least one entree that doesn't contain meat or seafood. We've been many times and every time the food has been excellent. The pastas, sushi, sandwiches, brunch, and pizza are top notch. Love the atmosphere and all the TVs for sports. So great addition to this neighborhood area in N. Raleigh. First time to order mozzarella sticks they were fabulous lightly breaded and fried to a light golden color. Since then (3X) when we get the mozzarella sticks they are heavily breaded and cooked in old oil for a dark brown to deep red color. Change your oil, lighten up on the breading. Saw in my church bulletin that a new place had opened in Leesville shopping center. Looked it up on yelp and when I read Robert's responses to the reviews -- especially he negative ones -- well we had to try it. Our server Michaela (sp?) was good natured and did a great job. We ordered wings and a 10" pizza. Both were great tho I would have liked a bit more sauce on the pizza. And in case you were wondering Robert, no one was hanging at the hostess station except the hostess. Best wishes for success. read more

So disappointed in this Ruckus location! We showed up at 5:00with our family of 4 with two kids. We had to scan a QR code to get on an empty waitlist in an empty restaurant, which sent us to a long form to fill out. Ordered a buffalo chicken pizza that came out with no buffalo sauce. The waitress said it looked wrong, and it tasted super flavorless... they brought us sauce but it was not good still. read more

Food too expensive and bad management. We ordered a dish where the menu clearly indicated it came with a side. The server informed us that that the menu was misleading and that particular dish didn't include a side. We informed the manager of the issue. He first wanted to argue that we were wrong. When we showed him the menu, he then said he was not aware this dish was in the one side included area. A good manager, at this point, would have resolved the issue by making the customer happy. His response was to walk away and do nothing. Sorry, but I am not going to spend my money at a restaurant with this type of no-customer service. read more

Service was fine though it took a while to get a glass of water (the most difficult item to get served in most restaurants). But the pizza I ordered -- OMG -- THE WORST I'VE EVER HAD!! The crust was tough and was like cardboard. Needed a steak knife to cut it! The toppings were scant tomato sauce, pepperoni, meatballs, and onions. All tasteless. First let me say that we have been here 7 or 8 times for dinner. We were actually there Friday night. Servers have always been friendly and attentive. We came here today for the first time for brunch. Hostess told us to sit wherever we wanted. We sat at a high top in the front and were given menus by the hostess. We sat for close to 15 minutes and no one even came near our table. The restaurant was not busy at all. We got up and went home for breakfast. Don't pay attention to old reviews, they had only been open a handful of weeks and had not worked out the staffing kinks when those were posted! Ruckus is the best!! The pizza's are huge and fresh, the specialty menu items are killer, and the management is great. This area needed a sports bar and we were super excited to see another Ruckus open so close to home! We went the first week when they opened this location and loved it, and continue to make a stop at least once a month. read more

As long time fans of Sawmill Tap Room, we used to go to Leesville Tap Room about once a year to remind ourselves that it was just meh. We were so excited to see Ruckus was coming in, and finally went last night. My expectations were in check after reading mixed reviews, but glad to say we had an awesome dinner! The bright, open, clean space was a welcome change, and not too noisy for us (though less than half full when we went). Service was friendly and quick, kids menu was great, and our food (gorgonzola filet and RBC wrap) was delicious. We'll be back soon! read more

Some of the worst service I've recieved in a long time. The line cook had to bring out food to multiple tables because the waiters were too busy hanging out at hostess stand. No refills, no napkins, had to ask for check... Food was just okay. Why does a pizza place have mostly sushi & $40 steaks on menu? Inside feels like a sports bar so the prices seem odd to say the least. read more

This was our first time in and they did a great job! Place was clean, bright and we had a nice server. We had margaritas and they were delicious! I recommend the nachos and the sushi! The kids pizza was huge definitely could be split between two kids. read more

Expensive, menu does not reflect whats online and is limited. We wanted a 14" pizza but they told us they didnt order the pans for that size so we had to choose a different size. Not sure why they cant use an 18" pan, but we were told they couldn't. To top it all off the owner is teplying to criticism on nextdoor by saying he doesnt want anyone who complains as customers. Apparently whatever model works for them in other locations is good enough for this one. Looks like i wont be paying $18 for a 10" pizza again. read more
