Needed a quick lunch stop after a visit to see the trolls in Dix Park and found The Pickled Onion to be the perfect place to get a tasty lunch. We both opted for shrimp options and the portions were very generous and tasty. Fun menu, lively atmosphere and fairly priced food made our visit a success!

Turkey Ruben. Next time I'll add bacon. It hit the spot!

Fresh off the plane we landed here for lunch. My friend and I split the turkey reuben with sweet potato fries. It REALLY hit the spot. Later another sever came around and asked how we liked it and she said it's newer on the menu and that she adds bacon. DUH, why didn't we think of that??!!, everything is better with bacon!!

I've come here several times, work in the area and one of my co workers comes here on the regular. He recommended it to me. The food here is amazing! The service is good, and the ambiance is chill.

I tried Pickled Onion again and enjoy their menu offerings. Really unique tasty spins on bar eats. Most recently I tried the Crack Fire. A blend of their crack dip ( buffalo chicken dip) spread on fresh whole Jalapeños wrapped in bacon. Those doing Keto, get it ! These were awesome. So tasty. My daughter had a meatball sub sandwich with onion rings. The meatballs on this sun were notorious B.I.G huge ! Really tasty and good price for the quality and portion. I'll come by for the drinks at the bar next time. My fitness instructor loves coming here but unfortunately it's located too close to our fitness studio. I'll have to quickly get in my car once out of my class to avoid packing on the weight eating here lol.

Traveling through and looking for a place to stop for lunch where we could bring our dog. We were able to sit at one of the many outdoor tables, and they even brought our pup a bowl of water. We got The Club and fish tacos. You get to pick a side with the sandwiches and you can add garlic seasoning, cajun seasoning, or cheese & bacon. The ranch was also good. We felt like we got a good amount of food for our money. Great lunch stop!

Overall excellent! We had a Barbie somethin drink and it was delightfully sweet! I absolutely loved it, and they aren't shy with their pour ;) My chicken salad was very generous in size, I had enough to finish it off for lunch day 2 - I did no dressing, but had it on the side and it was a tasty addition My sweetheart had a burger (Texas somethin?) and they ACTUALLY cooked it rare for him- a rare occurrence! He said the flavor was great too Only complaints if I had to offer some feedback, the tortilla chips with the chicken crack were a little stale and the French fries didn't match the crispy well-seasoned ones on their website Would return for dinner again!

Just a hint of sauce and plenty of meat in the sauce as you can see in the pictures. Three large size meatballs to go along with the dinner. Pinot Grigio was a good selection for my wife, my friend had the sierra Pale Ale, I had the Red Oak Amber which i loved. I enjoy a red ale or a dark amber with craft beers. Our waitress was spot on the whole evening sorry the name was not listed on the bill to mention her by name. The bar was full so it seems to be the place to be on a Friday evening to enjoy a brew with friends and associates. Compliments to the chef and the staff excellent job.

If you like a dirty martini, the Dirty Leesville is for you! We tried two appetizers and both were tasty. The fried pickles had the perfect pickle-to-breading ratio, and the potato skins were delicious with sour cream (loved the fresh green onion on these). My ribeye was flavorful and tender; even though I ordered it medium-rare and it came a touch past that, it was still delicious. If you're a local, this is a great spot for dinner and drinks. We got there at 5:30pm on a Friday and were seated immediately, but by 6pm there was a line out the door. Get there early!

The brisket quesadillo was packed with tender meat and flavor. My friend and I shared a small salad with gorgonzola cheese and one of the best balsamic vinegarette dressings I've had. The short rib gnocchi was tender and delicious and a large portion. Lastly, the Oscar the Grouch sushi roll had 9 pieces and hit the spot. Carolina Ale House Review - 3/5…read more It was our last day in town, and we wanted something quick while still getting a taste of some local favorites. Since Carolina Ale House was close to where we were staying, we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere definitely had that classic ale house vibe, with plenty of local beers on tap along with other familiar beer options. It felt like a nice casual spot to unwind and grab a bite. We all ordered something different, which was nice for variety. I had the hibachi shrimp, while the others had tacos with chips, and my son kept it simple with chicken tenders and fries. The food overall was okay, but my dish was a little disappointing. Everything on my plate--between the soup, pilaf rice, broccoli, and shrimp--seemed to carry almost the exact same flavor, so I didn't really get to enjoy the distinct hibachi taste I was expecting. One highlight for me was definitely the spicy margarita--the flavor was delicious. My husband also really enjoyed the "Ale Yeah" 16 oz. Bloody Mary along with one of the local North Carolina draft beers, which was a nice touch. Our server, Trevan, did a great job taking care of us. He was accommodating, attentive, and made sure we had what we needed throughout our visit, which we appreciated. Overall, I'd rate this place a 3/5. It was a decent stop for a casual meal and drinks, but the food could have had a bit more flavor separation and wow factor

You could purchase a Stein and get five dollar refills with a food purchase. Through October 25, however North Carolina according to the bartender and his manager does not participate in this for some liquor lol. Which I find strange because you could purchase what the Yard House cause crawlers which is a 32 ounce can of beer so I don't really understand why they don't do the refills on the stein. So we opted not to get the Stein because that was the whole purpose of having the Steins is to get the refills on the beer. So if you're seeing this review before you go and you're in North Carolina or at least in the Raleigh Durham area yeah that's what we were told. So last night we again got the Miguel's queso dip. It tasted a little different last night. It didn't taste as good as it normally taste so I'm not sure if they had a different Chef in last night or if they changed the recipe or something, but it didn't taste nearly as good as it normally taste. Also, we got the chicken pizza it came out. Let's say a little on the overdone side so we sent it back and asked for it not to be cooked as long and it came back the total opposite. We got the Oktoberfest sampler so that we could try all their Oktoberfest beers to see which one we were gonna go with. I ended up with Paulner Oktoberfest Bier, it was really nice. Had a nice refreshing taste to it and my friend actually just got The Samuel Adams Oktoberfest. As always they were packed because it's football season and they have inside and outside seating it can also get loud because everybody's having a good time and enjoying each other. We did meet a gentleman and he bought us a couple of drinks and we just had a good time so if you're in the area, give them a try.
