First time in Raleigh, family friend took us here for dinner. Great choice highly recommend many selections to choose from he and my wife had the Chicken Piccata and they both enjoyed it immensely. Just the right amount of seasoning to make the meal enjoyable. I had the Spaghetti and Meat Balls and it was fantastic. The sauce was different not overloaded with tomatoes and the food was not swimming in the sauce as I have seen in other restaurants. Just a hint of sauce and plenty of meat in the sauce as you can see in the pictures. Three large size meatballs to go along with the dinner. Pinot Grigio was a good selection for my wife, my friend had the sierra Pale Ale, I had the Red Oak Amber which i loved. I enjoy a red ale or a dark amber with craft beers. Our waitress was spot on the whole evening sorry the name was not listed on the bill to mention her by name. The bar was full so it seems to be the place to be on a Friday evening to enjoy a brew with friends and associates. Compliments to the chef and the staff excellent job. read more

Manchester's has been around forever, and I used to come all the time when I was growing up. I tried it again recently with my parents (since they hadn't been there in forever either), and we had a great dinner! My mom and I both enjoyed our martinis. If you like a dirty martini, the Dirty Leesville is for you! We tried two appetizers and both were tasty. The fried pickles had the perfect pickle-to-breading ratio, and the potato skins were delicious with sour cream (loved the fresh green onion on these). My ribeye was flavorful and tender; even though I ordered it medium-rare and it came a touch past that, it was still delicious. If you're a local, this is a great spot for dinner and drinks. We got there at 5:30pm on a Friday and were seated immediately, but by 6pm there was a line out the door. Get there early! read more

Met a friend for a catch up dinner, this is her neighborhood spot. It's literally got an "everybody knows your name" vibe, and I'd never even been there! Very welcoming and cozy, a bar area that's casual and relaxed, also not loud. It was easy to chat with my friend and not have to raise our voices. There's also a dining area if you're looking for a night out experience, and a private dining room as well! The key lime martini was, in my friend's words, "very drinkable!" Delicious!!!! Tart and bright!! The Sesame Seared Tuna was cooked to perfection! And the baked potato and broccoli rounded out the meal very nicely. The service was fast and attentive, yet never felt rushed. All around lovely dining experience for a random Tuesday! I'll definitely be back!! read more

We tried the Italian food- pasta dish- spaghetti and lasagna, sweet tea and Pepsi. It was pretty good, big portions. Just wish my lasagna had more cheese layers. The sauce was a little acidic but yummy. Bar was crowded and noisy when we stop in after arriving home at RDU from a trip. Would go back but when less busy. read more

Manchester's Grill is located in the Pinecrest Point Shopping Center. I had never been to this bar and grill before but it has been opened since 1989. The menu is large and should have something that appeals to most from burgers to salads to pizzas to pastas. The shopping center has plenty of parking. Tanya was our waitress and friendly. They may have been understaffed as she had to be waved down for refills. I went with the Northern White pizza and enjoyed the simple pizza. I will return again and try some of the other menu items. read more

Trudy got us seated and ordering within five minutes of the doors opening at noon. The six of us, a dining group that goes all over the Triangle, were ready for whatever they offered. What they offered was an array of sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, and wraps that left us all full and many of us taking leftovers home. Great service, not too crowded (it was a Tuesday lunch) and the food was amazing. I had a Shrimp Carbonera with mushrooms and peas that was possibly the best pasta I've been served in a restaurant outside of Italy. Call ahead if you have to, because most of their tables seat 4-6. Tell Trudy the rowdy bunch sent you! read more

Pretty good, not great. The service is quite friendly, but the quality is inconsistent. I've had their pizzas and the veggie wrap. The pizza wasn't authentic, too greasy. The wrap was just a salad in a tortilla... no proteins, no "wow!" dressing. If you're looking for mildly overpriced food in a family/bar setting, they hit the mark. And for bellying up to the bar to chat with locals. If you're drawn by "menu looks good with higher prices so it must be really good," this isn't for you. Sadly we were trying to find a new spot to eat as a group, and while this place can be cozy and inviting, it falls short on the food. It was packed so it must be a local favorite! Give them a try, it may be for you! read more

Manchester is a great little neighborhood restaurant with a full bar. The staff provides a friendly neighborhood feel when you go to Manchesters. Indoor and outdoor seating available or pull up a spot at the bar. The food is a solid variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and various entrees such as pastas and pizza options. I would definitely recommend the chicken parm with linguini. If your in the mood for a pizza pie you can't go wrong with the taco pizza, it's always a good call. read more

Ordered to go I had to go in and get the order because the front desk is not very nice/welcoming to our daughter (she is over 21 the girls her age that work there tossed the last receipt at her). 15 bbq wings which were big and tasty. The celery as seen in picture were the tops of the stalks- very hard and bitter. We got blue cheese which was just cream with tiny - tiny pieces of blue cheese. I also ordered a chicken wrap it was ok the grilled chicken was cut in small pieces made it hard to eat when they fall out. The French fries were bland but I added some spices and they were better. read more

This pizza joint has been highly recommended by a number of people and I finally made a point to come over and try it. The menu also has lots of bar food that sounds great. Our waitress was a tough nut to crack, but I think it was cos it was just her and another person for the whole place, so I see how it could be a lot to handle. She finally did come around, but gettin through the thick ice was a job for us two ladies. So I was excited to try this highly anticipated pizza! My spouse doesn't get along with cheese so she gets hers without and double mushrooms and it works for her. I'm a cheese lover and also added sausage, onions and green peppers on my half. I gotta say, it was a letdown flavor wise. Seriously, not a lot of taste except for the sauce, which was like straight up tomato paste. No seasoning, just plain. You'd figure with the toppings I had it would be full of flavor, but overall it was very bland. We'll come back, but would take a pass on the pizza. read more

We went there yesterday for a supper. Sat at the bar as the place was pretty packed, which is fine by us. Got served pretty quick for our drinks and menus, but then never saw a server even look our way for the next 30 mins. No one ever did care to take our food order, so I got up and left. Sorry ass service, rather, zero service. The only reason I gave it 1 star was my wife's water over ice was cold as was my Modelo. Manchesters ate the Modelo for a message, in my 72 years I've Never stiffed a place but they and consumers need this message. Don't worry, won't be back. read more

I have enjoyed Manchester's Grill for many years. Most recently, I went there by myself for lunch, when I was out running errands. As usual, the food was good and the service was excellent. However, they seated me in the middle of the restaurant, instead at tables for two by the window, which would have been much more enjoyable for a person dining alone. The prices are probably a little on the high side for basic burger, Rueben's, etc. It's a good place in a convenient shopping center with plenty of parking. read more

I went and got a cheeseburger with a beer, cause I heard they had good food. The burger was decent, better than average but nothing outstanding. I would not say it was worth its price tag at $17 after adding cheese. The atmosphere looked good, was well kept up and clean. If anything it might be a bit "past the times" for most people but I thought it was nice and classic look. Service was the only thing that I felt was really bad. I often eat by myself, so I opted for a seat at the bar. The bartender, who was my server, could not have given less of a care. Made me feel like I was a bother to him, was absolutely no help when I asked what he would recommend. Could not even be bothered to give me eye contact when speaking to me. Never asked how my food was, if I needed anything after the food came, was just very uninterested. Because of that I will be uninterested in ever going back. read more

Womp womp. Between the unfriendly hostesses, the 20% default carry out tip and over salted fare, Manchester's is off my list. The clam chowder was inedible. I literally added a half cup of unsalted chicken broth and 3 tablespoons of half and half to a carry out "bowl" so I could have dinner. I have to assume the bar full of drunk locals keeps them in business, because the food can't. read more

I really like this place. I'm partial to bars and grills, though. Their salads, wraps, pizzas, and ribs have all been very good. The service has always been great every time. Every time I've been for dinner, had to wait at least 20 minutes as the place is popular and not huge inside. read more

As with many haunts located in American strip malls the exterior is bland but we really liked MG's. We will go back for sure. Had their daily special (Fish and Chips) and it was perfect. Service was great and prices are good. Nice selection of draft beers which I think is a "plus!" read more

My family and I were in Raleigh sheltering from Florence and wanted to go out for dinner. We were near Manchester's Grill with friends so we ran over to grab dinner. The restaurant was easy to find and no wait to be seated. The menu looked great! We had the spinach and artichoke dip and calamari appetizers (delicious!). Among our group, we have the seared tuna, the salmon salad, several pizzas, and each one was delicious! A few of us were able to finish our meals, but most of us were so fun that we ended up taking home leftovers (still delicious the next day for lunch!). It was a great treat to be able to have tasty food far from home while we nervously watched the hurricane hit our city. Thanks for the hospitality! read more

Very nice ambience, like the menu, great wait staff! Definitely worth an outing for casual dinners or to watch a game!

First, due to a clerical error on our reservation for 17, the Manager stepped up and took care of the problem when we told him when it was confirmed. A 5* for the manager was accommodating and opened up an extra room. Service was flawless and impeccably efficient with no errors, confusion misorders. And then the food - ALL RAVED how great it was. Sandwiches, salads,Italian dishes - lasagna, meat balls, chicken or eggplant parmesan and chicken piccata were delicious! Group is going back here ! read more

I haven't been to this place just over two years and the first time I went I was like now that's how a Chicago cheese pizza suppose to taste like. I'm sure they can do better cause this isn't it. read more

Great food and service. It reminds me of the TV show Cheers. The atmosphere is wonderful. The bartenders are so friendly

My experiences here can be summed up in 4 words: too stressful for me. I'm really a fan of the place, but not enough of a fan to have to deal with the lack of parking and feeling like I'm in a sardine can while waiting to be seated. Don't get me wrong, I've been here twice, the food is great, the service is better than adequate, but being so crowded around the door and having to park all the way down by food lion is not my idea of enjoying an evening out with my bride. read more

Manchester's is the BEST!! I would give 10 stars if I could. The food is hot and delicious!! Great atmosphere. The wait staff are AMAZING!! The managers are also wonderful!! I've lived close by for years but never tried the food. I got takeout spaghetti, because I was craving it. The food itself is probably a 4* although at $17 it should be. Good amount of meatballs, could have more pasta. However the reason for the 3* review is because the menu on Yelp says the price is $13, so when I called to order I was expecting a different price. Other than that, it was pretty decent read more

Pleasantly surprised by the food at Manchester's. Stumbled upon this restaurant with some friends. The ribeye sandwich was delicious. I ordered the meat medium rare and sure enough the steak was juicy and tender. The fries were big and crispy though I think they could do with a bit more salt and seasoning. read more

More than a pizza place. Veal parmigiana was excellent along with the Caesar salad. The raspberry cheesecake was exceptional.

I came to Manchester's for the Chicago style pizza. I got so much more. The service by Martina was tremendous. Our cup was never empty and the speed and courtesy of service was superb. Her recommendations were so on point we had to ask her advice for other establishments in the area. We got buffalo wings for appetizer and they were so good! The best I've had outside of Buffalo, NY area; and I've traveled from CA to NC to NY again. The buffalo chicken wrap was amazing! My husband and I shared it to share in the joy of a perfectly cooked chicken, crispy tortilla and fresh greens and tomatoes. We also had a pizza that was custom built with Martina's help. It was good but I was expecting a Chicago style pizza and the crust was paper thin and a little flaky. The taste was good and the quantity and quality of ingredients was awesome but I had to deduct a star for the fail crust. read more

Wow...can't believe there's only one other review for this place. Also can't believe I've never been here before. I am guessing that the locals don't want you to know about it! Definitely has a neighborhood feel to it. And it was pretty packed at 7:00 on a Friday night. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait, and it couldn't have been more than minutes before we were seated in a smaller room near the bathrooms. Friends invited us. They are Manchester regulars who love their pizza. At their recommendation we ordered a large to share between the two of us, and they got a large also. We chose one with pepperoni, sausage, green pepper and onions.(was supposed to have mushrooms too but I just can't do mushrooms) All four of us had tea. Tea was good and kept filled at all times. (can be a challenge for a server with the way Husband can drink it!). Pizza was VERY good. We love a good thin crust and this crust was perfectly thin and perfectly crispy. Sauce was flavorful and toppings plentiful. Our only minor criticism would be that the peppers and onions were completely raw. They would have been much better roasted or grilled or somehow slightly cooked. With the wide variety of pizza toppings they have available, we both agreed we would try something different next time. That being said, there appears to be a LOT to try at Manchester's. This is not just a pizza place. Menu had a nice variety. Our friends said the burgers are good too, but they primarily go for pizza. They had some great sounding specials on a blackboard as well. read more

Food is a solid 3.5 stars, but I'll round up. I've ordered a couple times for curbside pickup. You do have to get out of your car and pay (they will take your credit card). For some reason they don't let you pay over the phone, which sucks. They also ask for tip when you pay, which kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Of course these are hard times and folks should tip if they can/want to, but the idea asking for a tip -- when you're not even delivering food to people's cars or letting them do a contactless pay -- sits a little weird with me. I can't speak for their pizza, but I've had two of their sandwiches before. Both were the same (chicken parm) but served vastly different. My first was on a hero, and it was big. Served with very generic and soggy fries. But my second order was noticeably smaller, served on a hamburger bun and with really yummy crispy fries. All in all: my experiences were really inconsistent. I may order once more, this time a pizza pie, and see how that goes. read more

The appetizers were the best part of the restaurant. Servers were extremely slow. Our waitress was not checking in on us, we had empty glasses the whole time. Now about the food, it was cold I thought they set it out until all the food was ready to be served. The food was cold, bland, and over salted. Overall I would not recommend this establishment. read more

This is a go-to spot for us when we are in the area. Kind of a "Cheers" feeling; nobody actually knows our name but it has a neighborhood feel. Food is quite good and our whole family enjoys a number of items on the menu. Nachos are good, so are salads and Philly cheesesteak (try it in a wrap) is large enough for two. read more
