Pretty good, not great. The service is quite friendly, but the quality is inconsistent. I've had their pizzas and the veggie wrap. The pizza wasn't authentic, too greasy. The wrap was just a salad in a tortilla... no proteins, no "wow!" dressing. If you're looking for mildly overpriced food in a family/bar setting, they hit the mark. And for bellying up to the bar to chat with locals. If you're drawn by "menu looks good with higher prices so it must be really good," this isn't for you. Sadly we were trying to find a new spot to eat as a group, and while this place can be cozy and inviting, it falls short on the food. It was packed so it must be a local favorite! Manchester's Grill is located in the Pinecrest Point Shopping Center. I had never been to this bar and grill before but it has been opened since 1989. The menu is large and should have something that appeals to most from burgers to salads to pizzas to pastas. The shopping center has plenty of parking. Tanya was our waitress and friendly. They may have been understaffed as she had to be waved down for refills. I went with the Northern White pizza and enjoyed the simple pizza. Trudy got us seated and ordering within five minutes of the doors opening at noon. The six of us, a dining group that goes all over the Triangle, were ready for whatever they offered. What they offered was an array of sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, and wraps that left us all full and many of us taking leftovers home. Great service, not too crowded (it was a Tuesday lunch) and the food was amazing. The celery as seen in picture were the tops of the stalks- very hard and bitter. We got blue cheese which was just cream with tiny - tiny pieces of blue cheese. This pizza joint has been highly recommended by a number of people and I finally made a point to come over and try it. The menu also has lots of bar food that sounds great. Our waitress was a tough nut to crack, but I think it was cos it was just her and another person for the whole place, so I see how it could be a lot to handle. She finally did come around, but gettin through the thick ice was a job for us two ladies. So I was excited to try this highly anticipated pizza! My spouse doesn't get along with cheese so she gets hers without and double mushrooms and it works for her. I'm a cheese lover and also added sausage, onions and green peppers on my half. I gotta say, it was a letdown flavor wise. Seriously, not a lot of taste except for the sauce, which was like straight up tomato paste. No seasoning, just plain. I have enjoyed Manchester's Grill for many years. Most recently, I went there by myself for lunch, when I was out running errands. As usual, the food was good and the service was excellent. However, they seated me in the middle of the restaurant, instead at tables for two by the window, which would have been much more enjoyable for a person dining alone. I would not say it was worth its price tag at $17 after adding cheese. The atmosphere looked good, was well kept up and clean. If anything it might be a bit "past the times" for most people but I thought it was nice and classic look. Service was the only thing that I felt was really bad. I often eat by myself, so I opted for a seat at the bar. The bartender, who was my server, could not have given less of a care. Made me feel like I was a bother to him, was absolutely no help when I asked what he would recommend. Could not even be bothered to give me eye contact when speaking to me. I literally added a half cup of unsalted chicken broth and 3 tablespoons of half and half to a carry out "bowl" so I could have dinner. My family and I were in Raleigh sheltering from Florence and wanted to go out for dinner. We were near Manchester's Grill with friends so we ran over to grab dinner. The restaurant was easy to find and no wait to be seated. The menu looked great! We had the spinach and artichoke dip and calamari appetizers (delicious!). Among our group, we have the seared tuna, the salmon salad, several pizzas, and each one was delicious! A few of us were able to finish our meals, but most of us were so fun that we ended up taking home leftovers (still delicious the next day for lunch!). I came to Manchester's for the Chicago style pizza. I got so much more. The service by Martina was tremendous. Our cup was never empty and the speed and courtesy of service was superb. Her recommendations were so on point we had to ask her advice for other establishments in the area. We got buffalo wings for appetizer and they were so good! The best I've had outside of Buffalo, NY area; and I've traveled from CA to NC to NY again. The buffalo chicken wrap was amazing! My husband and I shared it to share in the joy of a perfectly cooked chicken, crispy tortilla and fresh greens and tomatoes. We also had a pizza that was custom built with Martina's help. It was good but I was expecting a Chicago style pizza and the crust was paper thin and a little flaky. Now about the food, it was cold I thought they set it out until all the food was ready to be served. The food was cold, bland, and over salted. Food is a solid 3.5 stars, but I'll round up. I've ordered a couple times for curbside pickup. You do have to get out of your car and pay (they will take your credit card). For some reason they don't let you pay over the phone, which sucks. They also ask for tip when you pay, which kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Of course these are hard times and folks should tip if they can/want to, but the idea asking for a tip -- when you're not even delivering food to people's cars or letting them do a contactless pay -- sits a little weird with me. I can't speak for their pizza, but I've had two of their sandwiches before. Both were the same (chicken parm) but served vastly different. My first was on a hero, and it was big. Served with very generic and soggy fries. But my second order was noticeably smaller, served on a hamburger bun and with really yummy crispy fries. All in all: my experiences were really inconsistent. I may order once more, this time a pizza pie, and see how that goes. read more

Definitely has a neighborhood feel to it. And it was pretty packed at 7:00 on a Friday night. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait, and it couldn't have been more than minutes before we were seated in a smaller room near the bathrooms. Friends invited us. They are Manchester regulars who love their pizza. At their recommendation we ordered a large to share between the two of us, and they got a large also. We chose one with pepperoni, sausage, green pepper and onions.(was supposed to have mushrooms too but I just can't do mushrooms) All four of us had tea. Tea was good and kept filled at all times. (can be a challenge for a server with the way Husband can drink it!). Pizza was VERY good. We love a good thin crust and this crust was perfectly thin and perfectly crispy. Sauce was flavorful and toppings plentiful. Our only minor criticism would be that the peppers and onions were completely raw. They would have been much better roasted or grilled or somehow slightly cooked. With the wide variety of pizza toppings they have available, we both agreed we would try something different next time. That being said, there appears to be a LOT to try at Manchester's. This is not just a pizza place. Menu had a nice variety. Our friends said the burgers are good too, but they primarily go for pizza. The meals seemed to be pricy when we ordered but upon seeing how large the portions sizes were this was understandable. They have a good amount of menu items to choose from as well. Favorites include the orange teriyaki beef stir-fry, ribs, and BBQ pork sandwich. The seared tuna salad was good but the tuna was cooked more than what we had requested. The pizza here was so good we went two nights in a row. We are both big fans of thin crust pizza; Manchester's thin crust is the best I've ever tried. Thin & crispy, like a cracker. And they do not skimp on the toppings. The first night we ordered half Mexican, half Greek. The Mexican was AMAZING, but so was the Greek. The next night we ordered half Napoli, half meat lovers. Again, both were exceptional! There was so much meat on the meat half & the banana peppers & mushrooms on the Napoli half really set it off. I can hardly wait to go back & order another combination. First night we went was on a Thursday and they were busier than I thought they'd be on a frigid weeknight. The next night was equally as cold out & they were packed with a half an hour wait time. The food all seemed frozen and reheated. Gordon Ramsey and kitchen nightmares- this place needs your help. Additionally, the waitress left halfway through the meal. I mean, she was hardly there to get us anything even when she was present. The mixed drinks are trash, overpriced and terribly made. Oh and the wings! They're miniature wings apparently due to a "wing shortage"? Meh. All bone and no meat yet (as the staff disclosed to us) they're the same price as the normal wings they had before.
