Other than then running out of Eggplant for eggplant parmigiana, it was great. Good martinis, good burger and apps.

We tried the Italian food- pasta dish- spaghetti and lasagna, sweet tea and Pepsi. It was pretty good, big portions. Just wish my lasagna had more cheese layers. The sauce was a little acidic but yummy. Bar was crowded and noisy when we stop in after arriving home at RDU from a trip. Would go back but when less busy.

Manchester's Grill is located in the Pinecrest Point Shopping Center. I had never been to this bar and grill before but it has been opened since 1989. The menu is large and should have something that appeals to most from burgers to salads to pizzas to pastas. The shopping center has plenty of parking. Tanya was our waitress and friendly. They may have been understaffed as she had to be waved down for refills. I went with the Northern White pizza and enjoyed the simple pizza. I will return again and try some of the other menu items.

Trudy got us seated and ordering within five minutes of the doors opening at noon. The six of us, a dining group that goes all over the Triangle, were ready for whatever they offered. What they offered was an array of sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, and wraps that left us all full and many of us taking leftovers home. Great service, not too crowded (it was a Tuesday lunch) and the food was amazing. I had a Shrimp Carbonera with mushrooms and peas that was possibly the best pasta I've been served in a restaurant outside of Italy. Call ahead if you have to, because most of their tables seat 4-6. Tell Trudy the rowdy bunch sent you!

Ordered to go I had to go in and get the order because the front desk is not very nice/welcoming to our daughter (she is over 21 the girls her age that work there tossed the last receipt at her). 15 bbq wings which were big and tasty. The celery as seen in picture were the tops of the stalks- very hard and bitter. We got blue cheese which was just cream with tiny - tiny pieces of blue cheese. I also ordered a chicken wrap it was ok the grilled chicken was cut in small pieces made it hard to eat when they fall out. The French fries were bland but I added some spices and they were better.

Half no cheese, extra mushrooms, half with cheese and the works.

This pizza joint has been highly recommended by a number of people and I finally made a point to come over and try it. The menu also has lots of bar food that sounds great. Our waitress was a tough nut to crack, but I think it was cos it was just her and another person for the whole place, so I see how it could be a lot to handle. She finally did come around, but gettin through the thick ice was a job for us two ladies. So I was excited to try this highly anticipated pizza! My spouse doesn't get along with cheese so she gets hers without and double mushrooms and it works for her. I'm a cheese lover and also added sausage, onions and green peppers on my half. I gotta say, it was a letdown flavor wise. Seriously, not a lot of taste except for the sauce, which was like straight up tomato paste. No seasoning, just plain. You'd figure with the toppings I had it would be full of flavor, but overall it was very bland. We'll come back, but would take a pass on the pizza.

We had three different beers from this brewery, one in which appears to be no longer in production. The discontinued one was a pale ale by the name of Peacemaker. It was refreshing and enjoyable to have. Flavor features with this beer are that typically seen with a pale ale which are hoppy, malty and sweet. The beer is very light bodied which is nice and very smooth. Unfortunate that it's out of production. The other two beers we had are still being made. One was Shotgun Betty which is a Hefeweizen. Not bad but sometimes I struggle with Hefes and the strong banana clove flavor which was the case here. It was good that it was light bodied like most Hefes are and smooth also. The final beer was the Sweet Josie Brown Ale which I think was my favorite. The sweet, malty and coffee flavors are very enjoyable and like the prior two beers a nice smooth body to this fine dark beer. I am glad I recalled this brewery experience as I felt it was important to post the beers we had and what we thought of them!

If it's a beautiful day, I'd definitely recommend sitting outside instead. Still, the inside has a cozy, laid-back feel that works well. Shoutout to Qua, who was both the hostess and our server. She was welcoming, attentive, and handled everything smoothly, even as a few more parties came in while she was the only one serving at the time. One thing I really appreciated was that she let us know upfront what items were out of stock before we even looked at the menu. That level of transparency is huge and makes the experience so much better. My son ordered a slider with fries from the kids' menu. It comes with just one slider, so I ordered a second, definitely the right call. He enjoyed it, and the fries were cooked well, just a little on the salty side for our taste (ketchup helped balance that out). I had the shrimp tacos. It's packed and perfect portion for lunch. The shrimp, pineapple slaw, and chipotle mayo was a nice mix. The restaurant was clean (including the bathrooms). The location is also a plus, super close to the Art Museum, which makes it a great stop before or after visiting. Overall enjoyable, and I'd come back, especially to try more of the menu and the drinks.

The NY Strip arrived more than well done, so we told the waitress and she apologized and sent it back to the kitchen. As I was eating the meatloaf, I noticed an off taste and texture. I looked closer and realized it was still pink/slimy/raw! How can meatloaf be raw? It's supposed to be fully cooked first and then grilled. Whoever sliced it from the "loaf" should have noticed it was not cooked before throwing it on the grill! We notified the manager when he came to apologize for the NY strip, so he took the meatloaf back to the kitchen. When the NY Strip came back out, my husband cut into it and it was shiny and purple inside, from top to bottom...absolutely rare. The waitress agreed it was rare and took it back to the kitchen again. When it came out for the third time, it was perfect (third time's a charm, I guess?). The only saving grace was the kind waitress who felt awful about the sub par food. The kitchen put her in an uncomfortable position, but she handled it with grace. We ordered the chocolate torte for dessert and it was very good, but that's the only thing I'd return for.

All components in their house salad is great. Everything is awesome! The prime rib is tender and has such good flavor. Their mac n' cheese is the way to go. Their recipe is constantly changing. Food: 3 Service: 5…read moreAmbience: 4 Date/Time: 8/16/2026 5:40pm Order: Bacon wrapped filets, baked potato, stuffed potato and fries Crowd: Dining area 75% full, parking lot filled to the back of the lot I know, I know, Angus Barn is known all over, and at one time many MANY years ago when I went, it was pretty awesome all around. This time, maybe my expectations were too high, but it didn't strike me the same was as it did over 30 years ago. First off, I want to say that service from Andy was excellent! He was very attentive and actually interacted with us. We were celebrating my dad's birthday and Andy was really making it a big thing for him. He kept our glasses full and came around to check on us often. When he brought us the filets, he actually had us cut it down the middle and had a flashlight to allow us to see if it was cooked right. The ambience was still the same as before but more decoration with a lot more space and a lot more tables. It was a little on the noisy side but it was also almost full which I thought surprising on a Sunday. I think the wood walls helped absorb the sound better. We were seated immediately toward the back even being 20 minutes early of the reservation. The tables have a blue checkered tablecloth (used to be red checkers back in the day) and most everything was wood (walls, floor, etc). As you approach the front door, the covered area out front has seating and a bar with valet parking at the entrance to the covered porch. As you enter the main entrance, a country store counter is on the left, selling Angus Barn items, along with the restrooms further down. Straight ahead is the host station and then it opens up to the huge dining area. Wherever there are steps, there's also a ramp for handicap access. The food was a little disappointing to me. When I order a filet, I do expect it to melt in my mouth without much cutting required, and to have a natural taste to it as I don't usually put any sauce on it. This one comes with a red wine sauce which I was trying to use to get some taste in the meat but didn't like it. The bacon was sitting on top burnt to a crisp. The baked potato was good but the Caesar salad with homemade dressing didn't hit the spot for me. However, the chocolate cheesecake was very good! Also, the cheese/crackers/olives/etc starters waiting for us at the table was nice (used to have this at a big table at the front door where you wait for your seat but I'm sure COVID stopped that). Overall, the food was just OK, but not what I'd easily come back and pay the price for the filet. I'm not sure if maybe they hired a new cook and we got him/her or if this is just how they prepare their filets. I was going to give it a 4, but then asked myself if I were to look at a 4, wouldn't I expect the author to return... I probably won't return....... unless someone took me and let me order the chocolate cheesecake :-)
