Southwestern Burger and Buffalo Chicken Sandwichbuffalo
    Amit M.

Parking: plenty of parking since it was located in a strip mall with a Harris teeter Food: Buffalo chicken sandwich with fries was a good go to classic. Chicken was cooked well. Southwest burger and go made chips was decent. The homemade chips were a bit under cooked. Service: they were nice Ambiance: the decor was a little mixed match for the type of food that was being served. They did have local artists painting on the wall which is always a positive

Good is very good. Ordered the corner burger, juicy and flavorful. Also ordered a Long Island Iced Tea, very tasty and strong.

Nice place. Wanted to go somewhere decent and cheap with outdoor seating as the weather was finally turning well. Unfortunately it rained just before we came but the staff was very nice as she cleaned the table and chairs for us. I had philly cheese with chicken and my husband had veggie burger with fries. Everything was nice but the fries were just awesome. I would go back just for the fries for sure

Flavorful food with great customer service! I received a coupon in a mail and decided to pick up lunch at the Corner Tavern & Grill. It was my first time buying food from here so I was not familiar with the menu. Their website was down so I could not access their menu online. Yelp did have some menu items listed which was helpful. I decided to call the restaurant to inquire where to find the menu. The employee I spoke with on the phone (Laura) was incredibly helpful. She was aware that the website was down and they were working on fixing it. She was unsure where the menu was available online so she read off the main items to me. We are very appreciative of this and quickly decided what we wanted to order. I would recommend that they post their takeout menu on Facebook, that way potential customers can view it in case the website is down. I did post the takeout menu on yelp. She said that our food would be ready in 15 minutes. The food was ready when we arrived and our order was accurate. Laura even included a takeout menu for future orders. We ordered a chicken gyro with a side salad ($10.99 + $1.50) and The Corner Burger with fries ($13.99). The gyro seemed pricy especially with the salad upcharge. It was filling and flavorful. We particularly enjoyed the tzatiki sauce. The Corner burger was amazing. Very large and packed with toppings and flavor. I could barely taste the pineapple with all the other toppings on it. The fries were crunchy and tasty. Both dishes were very messy to eat, definitely have napkins on hand. Overall we enjoyed our meal and would recommend this restaurant to others. Note: they are not taking coupons at this time related to COVID-19 (understandable).

It's rare to find a mom and pop restaurant that has survived in this area as long as The Corner has! I think the reason it's been able to stay open so long is it's a popular place for the older generation to go. But it's also good for us younger folk too! I like the food here, and the service is good. The bar seems to always be busy, they do have some good drink specials during the week. This place isn't fancy, but they serve up good food, for a good price!

Stopped in for an early dinner on St Pat's Day and no one greeted us for several minutes when we first entered. No leprechaun, no Hornswoggle, no Lucky Charmer. No one. There was a band setting up so perhaps all the leprechauns were just busy or preoccupied. It appears that there are plenty of regulars here so maybe they don't quite know what to do with 7 unfamiliar faces at once. However, after the initial unwelcoming, service was all uphill from there. I was the only one in our group who opted for corned beef which, I found out after placing my order, was made by our server. True story. I may have ordered it anyway if she told me beforehand but I'm not positive about that. Sometimes I just live dangerously, sometimes not. Our server actually did a nice job on the corned beef. The meat had more fat than I've ever seen on corned beef. Aside from (or maybe due to) the fat, the beef was tender, juicy, and had good flavor. The potatoes, carrots and cabbage were tasty. Not as good as my Mama's magically delicious corned beef but it was tasty nonetheless. Overall, the food was reasonable and service was fairly decent.

Swayed by a soon to expire LivingSocial, I popped into the Corner Tavern & Grill for an early dinner. Inside it's bare-bones with a small side-room bar. A gaggle of regulars are at the bar enjoying an early evening beer. The menu is your basic mix of burgers, sandwiches, apps along with some Moroccan food. I do some sliders which are nicely grilled and some ok cheesy fries, but I'll be honest with you that I'm not sure if the calories were worth it. There aren't a ton of details for my review because Corner Tavern & Grill is probably a place I wouldn't come back to again. Not because it's bad but because it's your typical neighborhood bar and grill and I don't live in the hood. The location is pretty deep in Cary so I can't see myself going out of the way to stop in here again. And service was a bit distracted and not so professional during my visit. So I wish em luck, enjoy em if you live in the hood...

    Hawaiian burger

We purchased a Living Social deal after reading the reviews on Yelp and am glad we gave it a try. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The bar area is sectioned off with a high open wall and the lights appear to be lower in that area. The regular dining area has high and low tables and booths. It was decorated real cute for Halloween too! There's plenty to choose from on the menu from appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, and entrees. I was torn between the Moroccan burger (Finely chopped onions and cilantro mixed into the burger patty. Topped with house-made Moroccan tomato sauce.) and the Hawaiian (Bacon, caramelized pineapples, and grilled jalapeños). I opted for the Hawaiian burger with a side of onion rings. I asked for the burger medium rare and it was! The flame grill flavor with the grilled pineapple was really good and the jalapenos give it a bite every now and then. I asked for some bbq sauce on the side, but should have really asked for some teriyaki instead. That would have really taken it over the top! It comes on a kaiser roll and it was so huge I had to cut it in half to eat it. The onion rings are beer battered, not too thick, and crispy - yum! It was nice to find a new place with good food and a pleasant atmosphere. They also have live music on the weekends later in the evening. We hope to be back again soon.

I paid $14 for my fish & chips plate and side but got the sweet potato fries IN PLACE OF the fries that were supposed to come with the fish!

They weren't wrong. We were out on their patio on a summer evening, a mix of fans and a good cross breeze kept it nice and the vibey decor helped us learn into the summer heat. Shared plates, roasted flavors and a cocktail driven menu sets the theme. We started out with a few amazing spreads then shared large format fish, beef and veg. For the starters, the roasted carrots and the roasted eggplant spreads were served up with home made pita served piping hot! Both spreads were delicious, balancing savory and a hint of sweet with just enough spice to add depth w/o taking away from the natural veggie flavors. The fried haloumi was gobbled up so fast I almost didn't get a picture of it! For the mains, we had the fried fish which was ZOMG!!!! Flaky but still juicy, bathed in this east Asian inspired sauce and sprinkled with fresh herbs that gave the whole dish a pop! The kids destroyed most of it. The Short rib fell apart with a fork!! Enough said!! And the charted cabbage and broccoli was such a crowd favorite we almost got another order but had to leave room for dessert. The table shared the strawberry shortcake and I opted for an espresso martini that was both sweet and balanced and so smooth you could take it in one glug. The shortcake was a hit with the kids and parents! The cocktails were all perfectly balanced and the service was immaculate. No notes from me except to check this place out!!

Service is very friendly, and as quick as possible, considering that stuff seems to be made to order. I ordered a chicken kebab platter which comes over a bed of basmati rice, possibly with saffron. "Bodega-like Mediterranean Grill & Grocery in Parkwood area of Durham"…read more This place is WAY off the beaten path for most, but I'm so happy to have gotten to try it out. Nestled in a little strip between a Muslim school and a mosque is this grill and grocery. We came on a Wednesday evening, and almost every table was already taken by diners. You order your food at a counter, and it has the Middle Eastern foods you'd expect-- kofta, shawarma, gyros, falafel, baba ghanouj, hummus, baklava, etc. I opted for the lamb gyro sandwich with a side of baba ghanouj, and my dining partner had the falafel sandwich. They call your number when it's ready. Food took maybe 10 minutes to receive, so we browsed the market area. It's not a huge selection, but very traditional-- nice seeing so many labels in Arabic, and along with standards (e.g., canned fava beans for Ful Medames), they also had things like frozen chopped mulukhiyah leaves-- that's definitely a rarer sight. Lots of good spices too. The food was EXCELLENT. The lamb was juicy and perfect (unlike what another Yelp review said), the tzatziki sauce was delicious, and the baba ghanouj was perfectly cooked and textured. I had a small bite of the falafel, and it was indeed one of the best I've had in the US. Price was fair, too-- the sandwiches are all under $10 before tax and tip, and making it a combo with side and drink cost just something like $2.50. And service was friendly-- although they called out numbers, they did walk out with the food to try to find and bring you your dishes. And while it was an older space, it was overall still generally clean. Overall, I'd VERY happily come back.

I was going to be closer to the Raleigh location this past month so I decided to go to the Raleigh location and see if they could do the same as cary. I went in and asked a young man he said that should not be a problem for me to put in my catering orders and then have my payment done a certain way at the register, as they usually do, in cary. I placed my order and got to the register and then the very nice girl that was there was going to ring me up. She wasn't sure how to manually enter my credit card information that I needed to give, so she asked what I'm going to assume was her manager or whoever was in charge that day? The woman turned around and looked at me as if I walked in and started in her face. Her face was so disgusted, twisted up, and snarled with disapproval. She asked me, with a huge attitude, "what was going on here?". I politely explained the situation, which is that, at the Cary location our company pays over the phone when I arrive. I handed her the phone to give her the credit card information and she was speaking to my boss (who is a very world-renowned doctor) about the payment info. She was so rude to him and said "well usually we don't do this but we'll do it this time". I informed her that from now on, since it was such a problem we will gladly go to the other location or just another restaurant in general. The younger people at the register were extremely friendly and polite and really made this experience the most positive thing from this whole trip to this location. As I was leaving the female who had the attitude earlier did say that she " was sorry, and that she just didn't know what she was walking into". At this point, I really did not care about an I'm sorry, because I will never go back to this location. I don't care who or what she is, but if she doesn't know what she's walking into, then the best idea for her(if she had any business or common sense)would be to approach it in a professional manner and not with a stank attitude. I have worked in doing catering sales, amahing businesses, throwing events, and ordering multiple catering orders for other businesses that I run. I have never and would never, approach anyone like this if I was uncertain of any situation. It puts a really bad look on their whole concept. I have already talked to multiple people about this and told all the physicians that I work with. I have also discussed this encounter with other people who do multiple orders for catering and other event networking groups. I will never be ordering from this location again. I hope whatever they do, they get it right, and start hiring people who appreciate having a job, to make sure that no one else feels so turned off by someone like this. I'm only giving a two stars for the Friends League kids that were at the counter and at the cash register
