In the 30 minutes we were seated, we counted at least 6 cockroaches walking around our area, close enough that I had to put my feet up on my chair to avoid them. My father-in-law ended up killing one that got too close to our table. This isn't a one off a big got in situation. Seeing that many roaches in such a short window points to a real infestation, not bad luck. It's especially concerning for a place serving food and drinks. About 15 mins later, a server dropped off one drink, at which point we politely mentioned that we had ordered two. About another 15 mins later when we still didn't have the second drink, we got a different server's attention to let her know. The server came over first and said they needed to add our credit cards into their system before anything else. Even the wine was served in plastic cups!! I had the pleasure of visiting Dram and Draught Fenton with Yelp today, and to say I am impressed is and understatement! I was immediately wowed by the structure which has indoor and outdoor seating as well as a rooftop lounge. As a group we tried several items from their new menu. So let's talk about the food first: I sampled the beet hummus (totally delicious) with carrot and celery sticks. The Olive tapenade was delicious and not too briny. Chickpea salad was good but the food star for me was the grilled cheese. Fabulous cheeses with a perfect pepper jelly. Wow! The cap rear was good but a touch soggy, the Cuban had a great balance as well. Now to the drinks. I tried two specialty drinks. The first was a Rolo Royale. A lively lavender color and very tasty. Many in my group compared it to a pina colada, but not as sweet. The dried blood orange slice was a great touch. I next tried a Becky from the block. After looking at the ingredients, expected something sweeter, but not really a sweet drink and had a subtle bitter bite. Service both in the floor and at the bar was fantastic and my special compliments to the bartenders. They have so many options to serve and do so seamlessly. You need to go, enjoy the atmosphere, try some of their specialty drinks and just relax. Great place to hang out with friends. read more

I had a local IPA on draught that was nice, too, and enjoyed being outside and upstairs as the sun had just set. Nice atmosphere and vibe outside for sure, friendly service, and overall nice experience...wish I was a cocktail buff but I'm more of a wine guy and then beer--not many wine options, but the Argiano Toscana Rosso would serve if I couldn't switch. Ordered a old fashioned- it was my first time going so I didn't know they only did glass cups on the first floor so I'll definitely go back again and sit on the bottom floor. The drink was good and it was made quickly. I wish there was one large ice cube vs many small ones and that there was a little bit more in the cup. The drinks here are unique, tasty, and and the atmosphere is extremely cozy. It's the absolute perfect place to stop by for a drink or two if you have a wait time for your dinner reservation at Fenton. One thing to keep in mind is that this location is super small, and the seating is limited, especially if you're looking to sit inside during the winter months. The wife and I have been here twice now, and both time were given 30 minute wait times yet were seated in just 5-10 minutes. All in all, the wait is worth it because it seems to typically be shorter than the timeframe given. My biggest gripe with this place is their tip strategy, and I hope their management sees this. It's honestly a bad practice to have. When asking for a check, they set their default tip to 28%. Especially at a place like a bar in which people will get tipsy and drunk, setting a tip that high is a tactic, and a bad one. It really rubbed me the wrong way. This isn't something to deter me from coming back, as I love this place, but it is a point of critique for me. Verdict: Dram & Draught is the perfect spot to kill time and enjoy a few drinks while waiting for your restaurant reservation. I've been twice now and it's slow, the first time it took over 40 minutes to get a drink which is way too long. The guy that took our order was stretched thin but did a great job. We tried the the small axe, orchard sour, night nurse and dale denton cocktails during our first visit. My favorite was the small axe. I also got a glass of Prosecco to go, I like that you can walk around Fenton with a beverage as long as it's in a plastic cup.
