Cute craft bar with great food options... My friend wanted to check this place out since she recently moved to the area and I decided to join her and I'm glad I did. The bar inside is small, but makes for a more intimate and cozy experience. There's also a large patio, but it was raining the day that we visited. There's also plenty of parking since it's in a shopping center. When we entered there was only 2 other patrons in the bar and we decided to sit at the bar. We were greeted immediately and handed menus. There was a cocktail menu as well as a food menu from V Pizza. The drinks were delicious and perfect! The bartenders were great at their jobs. For food, we ordered a Buffalo Chicken Pizza to share and I ordered an Italian Salad with the Balsamic dressing....both were DELICIOUS!!! I will definitely be back! Calm, cool, collected- this is how I would describe this small but intimate bar in Brier Creek. Flask has been on my radar since they were mentioned for best cocktail bar in Raleigh magazine. I sat at the bar with a GF who loves mixology and enjoys a good craft cocktail. After making our selections, we were impressed by the spirits and ingredients used to make our cocktails. We appreciated how knowledgeable the bartender was and how much we both enjoyed our cocktails. We paired our drinks with a pizza (made by V pizza which is adjacent/connected to the bar) that was just as good as the drinks were! Awesome service and a wide variety of yummy cocktails! Plus, they're attached to V Pizzeria so if you're hungry you can grab some good food to go with your drinks. Rico is the best bartender. Very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. He never left us wanting. Every drink I tried was delicious. I look forward to going back to try some other cocktails on their menu. I'm so glad to have a local and lovely cocktail bat within walking distance of my home! Flask is tucked away in a strip mall across from Planet Fitness and attached to V Pizza. I walked in and was not so warmly greeted by the bartender, but he made me an amazing cocktail in the Ben Smashed. Ben is a whiskey base with a hint of peach and mint all muddled together for a refreshing cocktail. It's just the right hint of sweet and savory. I could definitely have a couple more, but I stopped at one. Absolutely loving their outdoor space filled with tables and umbrellas. It was such a wonderful night to sit and read as the sun went down. I can see coming here again and trying another cocktail. Hopefully, the bartender will be warmer next time?!? read more

My husband and I were able to try two cocktails while dining at V Pizza since they were having a private party and it was packed. Came here to grab a drink before grabbing some pizza next door. The inside is a little small and all tables were taken so we grabbed a drink at the bar and brought it into the pizza place next door. I got the Lighthouse drink and it was good. My spouse tried their dirty martini and asked for it extra dirty, and it was not. Not a ton of flavor for the time. She switched to an old fashioned for her second drink and she enjoyed it. Drinks took a while to get as well as it was busy but there were only two or three bartenders. Overall, decent place with interesting cocktails, but a little pricey (about 13/cocktail). I'd enjoy it in spring and fall when we can take advantage of the spacious outdoor seating. read more

Stopped in after Brunch upon a recommendation from a friend. The place was empty upon arrival with a few people arriving here and there during our stay. The drink menu is pretty good..decided to go with the Time and Place cocktail which was a Mezcal and Tequila blended drink. I thought that it was just the right amount of smoky from the mezcal and the heat from the peppercorns and the orange bitters rounded it out perfectly. My friend wanted to try out the wine selection, but it was extremely limited with many out of stock. I think the location of this place is a little hard to find, my GPS had me all over the place originally. Planning to come back with a group in a few weeks, to try the Pizza as well. I think with a little time, more advertisement, and addition of some better wines, this place can be great. read more

We parked in the parking lot and it took us a quick second to find it. Cozy bar cute and high top seating area. We ordered several drinks and pizza. Service was somewhat slow. The drinks were fine. I would have liked to see more options for some of the classics. The drink I wanted Spring Breaker but they had no watermelon. I got a margarita, The God Father. These were nothing spectacular to me. Went there due to a flight delay at RDU and didn't regret it at all. Their signature cocktails are creative riffs on classic cocktails and the friendly bartenders enjoy themselves mixing their own creations. The place is on the noisy side due to the typical strip mall type of layout and construction. But hey, we will be back to check out a pizza with a cocktail. read more

With some marketing help, more people could know about it and they could get more business. Flask is attached to V Pizza and you have access to the full food menu. The cocktails are great. Service levels, in my opinion, could be better. Wait staff are mostly younger men who tend to talk to one another and don't seem to be too attentive to customers. I had to chase my server multiple times. Overall, I like this place, and it has potential. But the vibe inside needs to improve and attention to detail from management should be addressed. read more

As appropriately dressed new customers, I would expect a greeting from the bartender. Not! Let's review bartender skills 101: 1. Greet your customer...welcome, how was your day, how can I help you, here are the menus, let me know.... 2. Be attentive--ask if there is something they are looking for, make a suggestion of something you think they may like without being pushy 3. Continue to be attentive throughout their visit--if you're going to have customers enjoy themselves and return, they need to feel welcome, engage them in conversation, or at least acknowledge them in some way. 4. Don't have an in-depth discussion with another employee off to the side while ignoring your customer. Shop talk belongs in the kitchen, not in front of the customer. Our experience: 1. No 2. No 3. No 4. No After having a cocktail (oh, by the way, the cocktail was good), I had to interrupt the conversation the bartender was having with an employee to order a pizza. Then, I had to interrupt the conversation again to order another drink. This time I said, "Sorry to interrupt your conversation, but I'd like to order another drink." The female employee said, "Oh, that's okay." My response was, "I'm the customer, I come first." She said, "That's okay, I'm leaving anyway." I said, "Good." Pizza was okay, too garlicy for our taste. If you can't figure it out, we won't be back. And, perhaps this conversation and behavior may be a good conversation for your next team meeting, titled, "How to lose a customer in 35 minutes, and maintain your status as a "best kept secret in Brier Creek"--no good word of mouth equals low traffic in the future. One last...this may have been a generational thing, which is doubly sad. read more

The drinks and atmosphere at Flask and V's are fun and easy. The challenge is the speed (or lack there of) of the service and consistency of the pizza. The bartenders make great drinks, but it is an easy 10+ minute wait. They just don't seem to have the sense of urgency to serve the customers. It's the same at V's. It's almost like the staff has tunnel vision and they only see what is right in front of them, rather than the needs of all the people at the restaurant. While waiting for our check for a simple cannoli (we had drinks that we waited for at the Flask bar), we saw several tables need to actually go inside to get their checks and pay them. This restaurant has table service. This should not be the case. I'm really not trying to give a bad review, but am hoping that someone from these establishments reads this and provides some training. read more

V Pizza is wonderful.............. but please don't waste your time with Flask. My wife and I went there because we heard it was a new bar. GREAT! When we got there we were greeted by a 21 year old bartender, which is fine. He brought us the cocktail menu and showed a lot of disappointment when I told him that we knew what we wanted. I ordered a Bud Light Draft which was served in a Belgian beer glass. Seemed a bit weird, but no worries. My wife ordered Kettle One on the rocks and I ordered Bulleit Rye on the rocks. Here is when we knew this wasn't going to work. The 21 year old MIXOLOGIST whips out a jigger and measures exactly 3/4 of an ounce of each, pours it into 2 rock glasses, and adds two HUGE ice cubes. Not 1 but 2. Have you ever seen less than an ounce of liquor in a rock glass with 2 HUGE ice cubes? It's laughable. My wife and I looked at each other and shook our heads. Anyway we finished our drinks (it took 2 sips) paid our tab and left. TAB WAS: Bud Light Draft: $6.00 Kettle One on the rocks: $8.00 Bulleit Rye on the rocks: $12.00 Taxes: $2.14 Total: $28.14 We had high-hopes for a new place in NW Raleigh, but teenie-tiny pours and grossly overpriced drinks doesn't work for me. read more

The service was poor.. me and my friends where judged the moment when sat down .. My friend order herself an margarita with Don Julio 1952 the first thing the bartender says "you know that's topself, I want to make sure you know because if you take it down and don't like the drink I'm gonna be mad".. he also repeated himself then adding "i need to make sure you are going to pay for this because it's $56". That was a completely inappropriate comment to make of course we going pay for our drinks.. This is the first bad experience I've had in brier creek. read more
