This relatively new restaurant at Brier Creek is in the spot that the Brazilian steakhouse used to be. Plenty of parking in the shopping center. Those of us that prefer an earlier dining time love that they open at 4pm. Six of us enjoyed a delightful meal with great service, absolutely delicious food in a gorgeous dining room. I'm not normally a steakhouse kinda gal, but their menu is so wonderfully diverse. And even better, for this level of quality, quite reasonably priced. In other words, a steakhouse that you don't have to wait for a special occasion for. Husband had a great Manhattan, my French Sauvignon Blanc was nice. We started with some of the bread of the day, which was a cranberry walnut. (delicious, and nicely not sweet). Dad had the shrimp cocktail to start which had big shrimp that must have been really good cause he sure didn't offer to share. Entrees came out quite quickly. My lobster & shrimp with asparagus tips linguine was fantastic. Waitress had warned me that some folks don't care for it because it has a strong tarragon flavor, but I loved it. Others enjoyed their steaks, crab cakes, a pasta with shrimp and mushrooms, broccoli with cheese sauce, loaded mashed potatoes and potato cakes. The only slight miss was Dad's lamb was slightly overcooked and he said he wouldn't order it again. We were all too full for dessert, but boy they all sounded great. I got another whole meal out of my leftover pasta. Can't wait to go back!

Amazing Experience - a must try! Beautiful decor, warming seating in the waiting area, bright inviting bar and luxurious table and booth seating throughout the main restaurant. Great location for date night, girls night, lux vibes but with prices and options for everybody Our waiter was impressive; he was timely, kind, informative, knowledgeable about the menu and helpful. Our food was delicious! We enjoyed everything we tried! I will rate the food in the pictures.

Been here twice now and loved my experience both times. 1. Food has been amazing both times! Ordered the smokin hot couple the first time and the steak frittes the second time and both were great meals. Had the cocktails which were honestly just okay and the desserts pecan cheesecake and bread pudding each time were worth the takeout order. 2. Service was immaculate. Very attentive and informative both times. Prompt and with great recommendations. 3. The venue itself is such a nice place to be in. The decor feels very upscale and celebratory. Great place for a date night or birthday celebration. Also looks like they have a private space in the back side of the venue for private events. Overall, close to home and a place I will continue to go to and keep trying items off the menu. Excited to try and get through it all.

From complimentary parking, the food, the ambiance, and the service- I was pleased. Our food came fast and fresh. I'd highly recommend Epic Chophouse. I'll be back to try the shrimp pasta or seafood entree. My friend really enjoyed her crab cakes & vegetable medley! I enjoyed my salad & Mac n cheese. I was surprised at the flavor of the Mac n cheese. It was herby and tasty! I'll be back for sure! 10/10

I was walking around Brier Creek on Wednesday and spotted this new restaurant where Braza used to be, so I walked in to check it out. It seemed nice, and I looked at the menu, then decided it would be a good spot to come back to later. I made a reservation for Saturday at 4:45 PM, so we wouldn't be eating too late. As we were on time for the reservation, and the restaurant opened at 4 pm, there were less than 10 tables seated with people. When we arrived there was another party in from of us, one with 12 people, 2 tables of 6 they were saying. The hostess & manager were saying that their reservation was cancelled, yet the people were saying that they did not receive anything saying the reservation was cancelled. in the meantime a host showed us to a table. We were walked all the way to the back of the restaurant against the back wall and directed to a 2-top. I asked the host if we could have a bigger table. The host we and told the manager that we wanted a bigger table. The manager paid us a visit, and had a very interesting conversation. Manager Greg came over and stated that he had 360 reservation, and it wasn't possible to move us to a bigger table. If he moved us it would screw up his whole reservation system because he had 400 reservations, and walk-ins to contend with. (Yes, the number went up from 360 to 400) So he said it just wasn't possible to accommodate us. Then he left. I told the host that was still there that the manager was full of BS. Because the restaurant was empty, and we would be done eating before the dinner crowd, so we had enough time to sit at a larger table. Plus I pointed out that the manager contradicted himself. Since he said he had to plan for walk-ins then he could plan for us to sit at a larger table, so he was full of BS. The host did go straight to the manager and I am assuming told him what we said because the manager came running straight back saying he just had a cancellation so he could sit us at a larger table. He moved us to the 4-top in the far back corner of the restaurant by the emergency exit. As we were sitting in the back corner of the restaurant we were able to see almost everybody that came in, and where they were seated. There were numerous couples that came in and seated at 4-tops with plenty of 2-tops open. But none of them had to request a larger table when they were shown to their seats. Maybe it it was just an off night, and not typical behavior in the restaurant, but why were most of the non-white people sitting along the outer edge, and back of the restaurant. I mean, there were less than 10 tables in the restaurant when we arrived, and we were put in the far back corner by the exit. The only worse location is sitting right next to the bathroom. We were both pointing that out all night long as we saw people come in, and where they were seated. Yes, there was an occasional exception, but not really. The reason why I wanted a larger table was not because I am too good to sit at a 2-top, but I really only prefer to sit at one with I am alone due to the constraints when you have several plates on the table. Before we visited I already knew what I wanted, I planned to order the tomahawk steak. I have ordered them at other restaurants, and if you have you already know that a tomahawk steak takes up a whole 2-top by itself. And with it served family style with the sides in their own separate dish you need a lot of table space, and then each person needed to have their own dining place. Why, because we are civilized and don't eat from the serving dish like cave people. Not sure if we were just put off and disgusted with the way Greg treated us, but the food was not that tasty. We all know how out mood can affect perception, but not impressed. We ordered the tomahawk cooked medium-well. Normally I get all my steaks medium, but with the massive two feet of bone on this, I could have ordered it well-done, and still had half come out medium. The half close to the bone was rare, while the out edge from the bone was just medium-well. The steak did have a great sear to it I will say. The sautéed green beans were crisp with a snap to them. The mashed potatoes were decent. I will say for a tomahawk, it should come with at least two sides instead of just one. Plus the sides were tiny, almost the sizes you were get at normal southern restaurant. At $9 per side, they were 1/4 the size of Ruths' Chris and Fleming, for 2/3 the price, so no value. We did have an amazing server by the name of Brandy. She stating the tomahawk is normally cut in the kitchen, but I requested it cut tableside, and she was happy to accommodate me. Thank you Brandy, you were really nice. If you do decide to dine here, make reservations and ask to be seated in Brandy's area. If you see Greg, be prepared to be walked past every empty table and placed out of the way in the back corner where nobody will notice you are there. By the way, I really did like the nice table lamps. 2025-25 #576

Went to a dinner for a friend of mine. We had a group of about 12 people. First time for all of but let's say I will definitely make the 6 hr drive to visit again. The restaurant is so beautiful. The food was amazing and we tried just about the entire menu. The drinks were some of the best ones I've had. Our waitress was very attentive and the service was really great as well for us to have such a big party size. And the restaurant was packed with people but it didn't stop the service from being top tier. 1000/10 would recommend

I really loved the ambiance of this restaurant and the service was pretty good! I'd say the steak was lacking a little bit of flavor though. All sides and appetizers were enjoyable. The French onion soup was thicker than a traditional, I think they called it a steakhouse version. There was a generous amount of cheese on top and I did appreciate that. We finished our meal with the skillet cookie, which felt more like a chocolate chip cookie flavored pancake. It was quite cakey. Still not a horrible choice but not what I was expecting. It wouldn't be my first choice for a steakhouse but I would come back!

I wish I took more pictures, but it was an amazing experience. Parking was difficult with the location being in the busy part of Brier Creek. The service was great, ambiance was intimate, and the food was really good. My daughter had a kids burger and was disappointed by how thin the meat was. We had steaks, brussel sprouts, and the bacon appetizer. It was all delicious. This place is a little pricey, but it was worth the money.

Epic Chop House: Got kicked out

I celebrated my 41st birthday with my gurlz at Epic Chop House and the food /drinks/vibes were 10/10. Our server DeCarlo a.k.a DC was awesome and very knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the surf & turf w loaded baked potato and I can't wait to go back. -- Disclaimer: We were seated even though the reservation was made to the wrong chop house located about 2hrs away AND the whole group didn't fully arrive until about 1hr later than the 7p original scheduled time. So yes, there was a woman that tried to kick us out as the restaurant closes at 9p and we were attempting to take photos at 10p. I will definitely return, that steak was everything Unika B. & Co.

I recently visited Epic Chophouse after seeing it all over Instagram, and I was excited to finally try it out. The ambiance was absolutely beautiful--the scenery and atmosphere were exactly what I expected. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the experience. I started off by ordering a blueberry lemon drop, which came out with a fruit fly in it. I sent it back immediately. While the replacement drink was okay, it wasn't anything special. The color was dull--not the vibrant blue you'd expect from real blueberry juice or syrup--so I suspect it was made with artificial flavoring rather than fresh ingredients. The blueberry lemon drop was nothing to rave about. Unfortunately we were seated at a table where flies and gnats were constantly flying around. The staff brought it to the manager's attention, and his response was that they just opened and they are still working out the kinks. The manager moved us to a new table. But unfortunately even at the new table, the fly problem persisted and a fly even landed on me. For my entrée, I ordered the ribeye steak medium well. What I received was very rare with a bright pink center and undercooked. I sent it back, asking for it to be cooked more thoroughly. It came back still quite pink. It wasn't until the third attempt that they finally got it right. The manager came out to explain that their version of "medium well" differs from the standard definition of medium well and stated that the waiter should have explained that to me. Sadly, the steak itself was underwhelming--bland and lacking seasoning. I would compare the quality to a less flavorful version of a steak from Texas Roadhouse. On a positive note, the wedge salad was actually really good--fresh, crisp, and well-balanced in flavor. It was the one item that stood out in a good way. The maple bacon Brussel sprouts were delicious as well! Despite the issues with the bug in my drink, the flies, and the bland steak, no compensation or sincere effort was made to improve our experience. I really wanted to love Epic Chophouse, but I left disappointed. I'll be sticking to my go to places like Capital Grille or Perry's for a reliably good steak and a more professional dining experience.

My sons took me here for Mother's Day and it turned out to be a great choice. For starters, the ambiance is giving date night, girls night out bday celebration(any occasion really). I put the address in the GPS and was surprised when we pulled up that it actually took the place of one of my favorite spots: Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse in Brier Creek. They did a great job with the remodel inside. Even the bathrooms are nice and picture worthy. Let's get to the food, for the appetizers we ordered the Wagyu Meatballs, Calamari, Sriracha Glazed Bacon and Angry Lobster. All were good but I would say the meatballs could use more seasoning they were a bit bland for my taste. Ordered a Caesar salad of course, I enjoyed the spiced pecans that were in it but that was about it. For our entrees, around the table we ordered the Prime Bone-In Ribeye(Medium), loaded baked potato, greens beans, creamed spinach, Low-country Shrimp and Grits(my son said it was delicious), Shrimp Manzetti Pasta, The Epic Burger and the Ribeye 104 South. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their food, For dessert, we ordered the cheesecake and key lime pie....FANTASTIC!!!! We left with full stomachs and smiles on our faces. If ever in the Brier Creek area, I would suggest stopping and checking this place out.

New restaurant coming to Raleigh and I had a chance to check out their preview night and was able to sample some delicious menu items, including salmon bites, lamb chops, scallops, fried shrimp, and lamb chops. We were also able to experience their wine and spirit selection. The servers and bartenders did a great job and were very attentive. Based on the samples and service, I would definite return to try other menu items. The ambiance was very calming as well. Great for date night or celebrations.

We also had the citrus lavender crème brûlée, which was surprisingly delicious. I don't usually go for crème brûlée, but this one was light, not overly sweet, and just had a really nice flavor. The pasta was ok, but there weren't the flavors I was expecting. Hardly any meat was in the dish, and it was just a kinda "ok" creamy pasta dish. But the service and the atmosphere was amazing! It's funny - many in this group have met since and we always remark how other places have such a larger wine selection than this one that has "wine" in the name. Maybe they need to change the name if they aren't going to have a wider selection. Still a fun place, just done expect a lot of selection.

A friend purchased a Gift Card for me years ago after learning that I enjoyed my experience at a wine tasting & small bites event at their sister location in Downtown Raleigh. That location has since then closed and I had not gotten around to visiting. Upon arrival I sat at the bar and was kindly greeted. The bartender shared with me my options for redeeming my Gift Card. I decided to have a wine flight and small bites before heading to DPAC. I chose the Charles Gonnet French White wine. The wine is made with Jacquere grapes grown organically in clay and limestone soil. It is medium-bodied and dry with melon rind, green almond, and pear notes. Very nice. I also chose the Brooks Rose . This rosé wine is made with Pinot Noir grapes from Willamette Valley. Lastly, I had a Greek white wine called Tethalassomenos. A famous wine of ancient Kos (4th century BC). In ancient times wine was diluted with water before consumption (krasi). However, the Ismiotes (Municipality of Kos who lived in Kefalos in the present Greek region) diluted it with sea water. Each chosen paired perfectly with my appetizer or choice, the Burrata Crostini. This was topped with sprouts(micro greens) and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Delicious! Service was friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed winding down here prior to attending the show. I highly recommend this as a nice place to enjoy prior to or after a show in the area.

We were searching for a place to take family who was visiting from upstate New York and decided ZincHouse as an option. Close by, I had never ventured out to ZincHouse, but we always said we would eventually discover it when time permitted. This was the time. I was AMAZED, as was our family. Beautifully situated, even in the throes of the cold winter, the entrance to the place was stately and I could just tell that in the spring and summer it has to be breathtaking. Escorted in and to the first bar, beer and wine was offered. We elected to go upstairs to the sportsy bar as the UNC game was on. I went over to the other building to get a delicious bourbon double and returned to our party upstairs who had purchased wine bottle number 1. A couple of hours later, three bottles of wine later, and a few amazing sour Mango beers later, we all sat around and discussed what an awesome outing it was, and how memorable. A big score for the parents who want to return just so they can go back to the ZincHouse again. Hungry, we went to the food truck, and ordered some tasty food and carried back to the table and then left proclaiming that we would be back again very soon and partake in the fun for St Pats Day! Yes, it was that great of an experience. I cannot wait to see this place in all its epic majesty in spring! You must check out ZincHouse. Next time I will update with pics.
