Think old Dublin charm meets downtown cool. The walls wear their emerald proudly, framed by wood so rich you'd swear it was carved from an ancient ship. The lights hang low and warm, catching the amber swirl of whiskey glasses and the glint in the bartenders' eyes--who, by the way, dress to the nines. It's the kind of pub where strangers become storytellers, laughter competes with the fiddle in the corner, and every pint feels like an invitation to stay just a little longer. Come for the drink, stay for the mischief. The serve an Old Fashioned that knows it's the main character. Strong enough to make a statement, smooth enough to keep your secrets. One sip in and you'll understand why it's been the life of the party since before your grandparents were sneaking into speakeasies. Mr Henry - Where it's always buzzing, never boring -- where the crowd's lively, the drinks are on point, and the energy crackles like a Friday night that never ends. Cheers!

Great to see a bar-bar at Village District, finally! Having lived in this neighborhood for 15 years, the District was usually about retail and restaurants but that's been changing of late. The addition of Goodnight's comedy club and now Mr. Henry is changing the vibe in this old school Raleigh shopping area. Brought to you by Matt B of C Grace and Side Bar fame, Mr. Henry is a refreshed but classic British bar and pub with lots of green and fawn as primary colors inside. But as you can guess, Mr. Henry is all about the cocktail with talented mixologists behind the bar. Enjoy a cocktail and conversation in this fun addition to the Village District!

I'm obsessed with Mr Henry. It's so beautifully designed. It's quaint and intimate but stylish and comfortable. The coloring gives it a moody vibe making it perfect for a date night, solo night at the bar, time with friends or even catching up on work on your laptop. The bartenders were super helpful in giving me suggestions for a drink and the cosmo I ordered was absolutely delicious! I'd come here over and over again.

This is the ultimate "Cheers" bar nestled in the Village District of Cameron Village. The first thing I noticed was the fact that this bar was not the kind with people crammed inside--everyone was given a great experience with their own seating area and attentive bartenders. There was a wait, but we made friends in the line we waited in and were entertained by the friendliest and funniest doorman I've encountered. Their selection was very unique--we tried four different cocktails and I'm excited to come back to try others, too--so many fun ones to try! Pricing is fair, attentive staff, gorgeous ambiance. It feels like you're in a Ralph Lauren-inspired bar.

With little signage the space feels like a natural speakeasy. It's unpolished enough to feel a little sleazy, yet polished enough to never feel dirty. In other words, it has character, and plenty of it. The bartenders were fantastic: knowledgeable, talented, and happy to chat about the spirits behind the bar. Whether you're a serious whiskey enthusiast or just looking for a well-made cocktail, you're in good hands. Being open later than most Raleigh bars makes Foundation one of the city's go-to late-night options, but that shouldn't overshadow what it really is........a great bar at any hour. The atmosphere, the drinks, and the people behind the bar make this a place worth seeking out whether it's your first stop of the evening or your last.

I had their basil smash, which was refreshing, and the Manhattan--bold with a warm, spicy profile. Pleasant surprise to see Michter's as the special of the night, and it was excellent with smooth caramel and vanilla notes. Service started off a little hands-off since we ordered at the bar, but picked up toward the end when staff came by to check in. Drinks were high quality without being overpriced, and the vibe is relaxed--not at all pretentious. You can definitely come casual. If we had more time, we would've stayed longer or come back for another round.

Service was top notch with friendly folks greeting you the moment you enter the doors. Our bartender was so sweet and so welcoming. The chocolate brownie is thick and rich, but not too sweet, and the marshmallow cream is divine, especially with the ice cream. A lot of their drinks and gin based, which I'm not the biggest fan of, but I always find something I can enjoy. The service is great and relatively quick, and everyone I've met there is kind and willing to help. The inside is a bit small, so smaller crowds are better and it does tend to get crowded later in the evening and on weekends. The outside street sitting area is nice too and hopefully will be fully fixed soon. Overall a great places to stop for drinks and desserts after a nice meal! And the menu rotates seasonally so you'll always have the chance to try something new!

We were only in Raleigh for a short family trip and wanted one memorable dinner. After reading the…read morereviews, we decided on The Crunkleton--and it exceeded our expectations. We arrived on a busy Sunday evening without a reservation and were told the wait would be about 40 minutes. Instead of simply putting us on a list, Alfredia, the host, immediately made us feel welcome. She even offered me a cup of ice water after noticing we'd walked over in the summer heat. A few minutes later, she found a way to get our family seated much sooner than expected. That small act of kindness set the tone for the entire evening. Our server, Toni, was exceptional. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic, he guided us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations. Every suggestion was spot-on, and it was obvious he knew the menu well. The food was outstanding. The Duck Flautas were a great start. The She-Crab Soup was rich and flavorful. The Wagyu Burger with caramelized onions, truffle aioli on brioche was excellent--my son says it's the best burger he's ever had. The Mediterranean Chicken Piccata was beautifully prepared with confit fingerling potatoes, charred asparagus, goat cheese, sun-dried tomato tapenade, and piccata sauce. We were so busy enjoying dinner that we completely forgot to take photos until dessert--which probably says everything. The Beignets with cold brew icing were excellent, and the warm Brownie with salted caramel ice cream was the perfect ending to the meal. What also impressed us was that Chef Jonathan stopped by our table to check on our meal, and Ravin, the General Manager, took time to welcome us personally and make sure everything about our visit was going well. We never felt rushed. Great food may bring people through the door. Great hospitality is what brings them back. The Crunkleton gave our family one of those dinners we'll remember long after the trip is over. The atmosphere is stylish without feeling pretentious, the service is genuinely warm, and it's clear that everyone there takes pride in what they do. If you're visiting Raleigh--or if you're fortunate enough to live there--I would absolutely recommend giving The Crunkleton a try. We left talking not only about how much we enjoyed the meal, but also about the people who made the evening special. Thank you to Alfredia, Toni, Chef Jonathan, Ravin, and everyone behind the scenes for making a simple family dinner into such a memorable experience. We absolutely will be back.
