Peri Brothers Pizza has been fully renovated and turned into a beautiful sleek and modern restaurant in addition to the take out counter in the other room for pizza, etc. We came for Mother's Day brunch and they did not disappoint. The tables are spacious and comfy. We had one along the New York themed wall. We started with $5 cocktails, I had the Bellini. It was peach and prosecco. Very delicious. Then I had the lemon ricotta pancakes with hash. This dish was so good. The pancakes were light and fluffy and had a beautiful lemon and blueberry taste and had a dollop of mascarpone on top. The hash was well seasoned and cooked crispy how I like it. Hubby had sausage omelette. He liked it. Daughter had French toast and she loved it. Our waiters name was Nick and he was sweet and efficient. Everyone in the restaurant made us feel welcome and valued. All in all a wonderful brunch in a great new restaurant. Calamari fries are incredible!! Pasta is a HOT MESS, their tomato sauce tastes like Spaghetti O's. I got the bolognese & it was awful. Barely any meat, no cream, raw garlic mixed with ketchup sauce. We have tried their takeaway pizza lots of times but today was our first time trying their sit down restaurant since the renovations. They opened up the indoor dining about six months ago and it is absolutely gorgeous. The interior is classy, modern, yet still feels intimate enough for a date. This would be a great place for a casual meal any day of the week or getting together with friends. Their pizzas are always amazing but we wanted to try their different offerings so we ordered the shrimp scampi and the braised beef pappardelle. The shrimp were large and juicy and the dish was packed with caper heavy flavor which we didn't mind. We all love capers. Both pastas we tried were fantastic but the braised beef pappardelle was especially delicious. It was definitely the standout dish of our meal. Both dishes come with a scrumptious piece of crusty toasted bread, great for mopping up some of that great sauce in any of the pasta dishes. The calamari fries were lovely with some lemon zest on top and the sauces were tasty as well. They don't use the rings that you see at many restaurants. Instead they opt for slicing calamari steaks which was great. They were tender and fried to perfection. I would give this place 5 stars had we not ordered dessert which was mid at best. We got the tiramisu per our server's recommendation. She said that all their desserts are made in house except for the gelato. She also mentioned that she was a big tiramisu fan (as am I) and recommended it. It was okay but both desserts somehow seemed dry/powdery/chalky despite being wet. Maybe they needed to soak it more. I think the fact that the ladyfingers were on the outer edges instead of layered throughout caused it to taste less moist because it wasn't soaking in the mascarpone. Maybe we are spoiled by Paul and Jack's basque cheesecake but this basque cheesecake was unlike any basque cheesecake that we had ever tasted. It seemed on the chalky side, perhaps over baked? Recently picked up a grandmas pizza and it was really good. Pepperoni and onions well done with a crunchy crust. If you've never tried put it on your must try. Followed up a week later at their new restaurant and had the seafood fra diavolo with salad. Food was on point and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The new place is very well decorated. The only negative is the menus are different and a grandmas pizza is not available. Otherwise put it on your go to list. read more

This place is located in the same shopping center as The Sneaky Penguin Brewing and they will deliver your order to the brewery! Absolutely amazing!! We love attending events at The Sneaky Penguin but their events are often right after we get off work so getting dinner and getting to the brewery early enough to snag a table is stressful. Not anymore though, thanks to Peri Brothers! They deliver food and paper plates and silverware right to your table! It's super easy to order online and the delivery person is always friendly. Their Grandma's Pizza is amazing! This pizza is exactly what I've been searching for and Peri Brothers does it the best! We've also enjoyed their pasta dishes. I tried the new modern Italian portion of the peri brothers this weekend and it was great! We only stayed for apps but I will definitely be coming back! I need to try some of their entrees as well as their pizza (most importantly the garlic knots). I got meatballs and the bread and dips, which were all perfect. I think it would be great if the garlic knots were at the full service restaurant too, but I'm biased. The whipped ricotta that came with the bread was so good that I started eating it with a spoon LOL. Even though we didn't stay for a full meal. They still gave my boyfriend a free dessert for his birthday! He picked the chocolate cake and loved it. Our waiter was kind and I loved the vibes of the place. I discovered that Peri Bros scrubbed all negative reviews (at least 35-40) from their Valentines Day fiasco on Google instead of taking accountability and properly addressing and apologizing to the patrons whose nights they ruined. I made a reservation for my wife and I to eat here on Valentine's Day 2-3 weeks ago. We've ordered pizza for takeout many times and since I heard of the new dining room I've been eager to sit down and eat there for the first time. Unfortunately this never happened because we were completely blindsided by the prix fixe menu they had given us at the table that was never mentioned or advertised anywhere. Not while booking the reservation, not on their website, not their social media pages, nowhere. At first glance I thought it was a $95 meal for 2, which would've been reasonable. It was $95 per person. So after taxes and tip, you're paying probably $250 for dinner. Erin was our server, she was pleasant to start. We tried to explain that we didn't know there was a special menu and profusely apologized because we were embarrassed - we thought we had to have missed something and had to leave because it was out of our budget. She stared at us blankly, took our waters, and walked away without saying anything. I saw the owner commented on someone's review and said something like "most restaurants do a prix fixe," ok, fair, but they also advertise their menu for Valentine's Day on literally any of their platforms. The person who called me to confirm the reservation could've mentioned it, but didn't. I'm really disappointed. They are a strip mall restaurant in a very middle class area charging luxury prices and from what I've read from people who stayed to eat, it wasn't worth it. We left feeling embarrassed and without another option for dining on Valentine's Day. I will not be returning, nor will I recommend this place to anyone else in the future. read more

This was my first time at Peri Brothers (2/14) and I enjoyed my meal. However, I didn't enjoy my waitress rushing me and my boyfriend 2 minutes into us sitting down asking what we wanted from the menu. I don't remember her name but the middle aged, brunette woman with glasses was impatient and it was evident from the moment she came to the table. Along with many others, my boyfriend wasn't made aware of the fixed Valentine's menu but it was fine with him. Not even 2 minutes into us being sat down our waitress comes up to bring us water and starts asking if we know what we want to order. By that time I had only gotten to the antipasti portion of the menu. She first ask us which wine we want and my boyfriend told her we don't drink too often so we aren't sure what a good wine would be. She very bluntly just says "okay, I can bring out sodas instead", she gave no suggestion until my boyfriend asked what the sweetest wine would be and then she told us the rosé. When we got to picking our entrees I was still very undecided and was hoping she would say that she'd give us time which is something waiters typically do. However, that wasn't the case and I had to awkwardly pick while she stood there waiting for my choice. My boyfriend also picked up on this tense energy but we weren't going to let that ruin our night. But I did notice that she was waiting another table next to us and she went up to ask them if they were ready for boxes and a check as they were in the middle of eating. The woman at the table informed her that they were not done eating and she walked away. My boyfriend and I are a black couple and that other table from what I saw was the only other black couple she was waiting. I'm not sure what her issue was and it could have very well have been her just being in a bad mood. But I did find it odd that the two black couples sitting in the restaurant with the same waitress are being rushed to order, box up, and pay during what is supposed to be a romantic dinner. The attitude we receive from the waitress was inappropriate and unprofessional. Very disappointing to deal with that at our first time being at Peri Brothers. read more

Sine you wanted to remove mine and the other twenty 1 start reviews about Valentine's Day. I copied and pasted mine for yelp.: People move from NYC to NC and think they can charge New York prices here without anyone batting an eye. That's just not how it works. My fiancé made a Valentine's Day reservation over the phone and had no idea it was a prifix menu with limited options at $95.99 per person. It wasn't posted on the website, and no one mentioned it when he booked. Other restaurants have the decency to let you know before making a reservation. We only found out after we were seated. So we walked out. I've heard of prifix menus for $60... but $95? For what? I can understand paying that at The Angus Barn or a true upscale Italian spot downtown with a rooftop view. But this wasn't that. It felt unjustified. We ended up going to one of our regular favorites, Assaggio's Italian Restaurant on W Millbrook rd and they accommodated us without a reservation. They completely saved our night. We ordered appetizers, entrées, two glasses of wine, two cocktails, and two desserts -- and the total was $130. It's not that we don't have money. It's the principle. Charging $200 for two people for a limited Valentine's menu at a place that's half sports bar, half "fancy" just feels like highway robbery. If my fiancé is going to spend close to $240 after tip for dinner, it better be at a true steakhouse or a high-end Italian restaurant downtown. Super super disappointing. No one told us it would be a set reduced menu ahead of time that is $95 a person. We don't mind spending $200+ on food but the food was not worth that price at all. This place is trying really hard to be upscale when it is clearly not. Upscale pricing for a subpar product equals a two star experience. We ordered delivery tonight during Friday night rush and got one item slightly wrong, no big deal. If you haven't tried Peri Brothers lately, check them out. As of summer 2025, they've expanded their restaurant and menu. The old space still has NY pizza to go, plus the new upscale dining room next door has a new "modern Italian" menu with a full bar and lists of beer and wine. But for Valentine's Day last week my wife and I dinned in their new restaurant (menu was chosen just for the Holiday). My wife and I were over joyed with the selected meal ---- we both commented that the food was the best we have had at a restaurant in many years. I personally love a restaurant with a great Italian menu and I would put this place at the top of my list as far as restaurants I have experienced in Raleigh. We tried the new Modern Italian restaurant portion of Peri Brothers and were disappointed. The pizza was decent, but not great. The pasta dishes we tried were subpar. My chicken parmesan had a huge bone in it. The menu specified that the VEAL parm is bone in, but it did not say the chicken parm is bone in. Nasty. Plus, the chicken breast was too thick, so the balance of flavors you'd expect (mozz, sauce and chicken) was off. The sauce was bland, too. My wife tried the bolognese, and it lacked flavor. Pasta was al dente, which she appreciated, so at least that was good. Overall, for me, my wife, and two kids (who split a 12" pizza), the bill came to more than $130, and that was without apps, salads, bread, or drinks from the bar. $5 for a single can of coke (no refills). That's just insane. We might give it another try, but due to the lackluster taste and exorbitant cost, unfortunately, we probably won't be back anytime soon. read more

My family and I heard good things about Peri Brothers Pizza in Raleigh. We were in the area and decided to stop by and try it out. We ate in the restaurant. The atmosphere was very cozy, very laid back. We got the Times Square pizza and a cheese pizza for the kids. The kids liked the cheese pizza. Just a disclaimer though, they like any and all cheese pizza they've ever eaten. As for the Times Square, the toppings were flavorful and fresh, the veggies had a satisfying crunch to them, not soggy from oven baking. The meats had good flavor and not very oily (though pepperoni always has a bit more oil than sausage). The crust was crispy on the outside edge and chewy elsewhere, which is what I like in that type of pizza. The dough was light and airy. Overall, the taste was good, but the dough did not have much flavor to me. As I mentioned, the texture was good, but the flavor was just 'ok' to me. Just to confirm, I tried a slice of the cheese pizza and it was the same experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming and stopped by our table to make sure everything was fine. The price was a few dollars more per pizza than what I am used to paying for similar pizza in Wake Forest. In the future, when I am in the mood for pizza I would consider one of my regular pizza restaurants in Wake Forest first though based on overall pizza taste and price. read more
