What a cool spot! I found this off a Reddit thread and I honestly would have never known otherwise. It's located in a tucked away strip mall off Litchford, it has a big patio but inside it has walls of whisky (the largest collection in the southeast apparently). We grabbed a few spots at the bar and live music was playing outside on this beautiful evening, lots of families buzzing around. The bartenders were really good, knowledgeable, and on it. I had the cocktail of the week which was a gin and Prosecco concoction and hubby had draft pumpkinhead, it's the season. Both good choices! They have TVs if you want to watch the game and big tables to just chill. I'm assuming you can bring in food too from the nearby spots. Overall loved this hidden gem! We will be back! read more

a friend and I stopped in while on a business trip after a coworker recommended this place, and it completely exceeded my expectations. I'll admit, seeing it next to a Food Lion didn't exactly set the bar high, but the moment I walked in and saw the massive wall of bottles stretching to the ceiling, I knew I'd misjudged it. The bartender with the blue hair was outstanding. (Did her job so well I cannot remember her name for the life of me). She explained how everything worked, pointed us toward great beer options in the back cooler, and then really impressed us by taking time to understand both my taste and my friend's despite us having totally different bourbon preferences. She gave thoughtful recommendations at multiple price points and tailored each suggestion specifically to what we liked. Knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely fun to talk to. The regulars were friendly, the atmosphere felt welcoming, and the whole place has that hidden-gem neighborhood vibe you hope to find when traveling. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town and I'll be on the lookout for a few bottles thanks to her recommendations. read more

Best selection of high-end peer and booze you're likely to find anywhere! Super cool atmosphere and amazing service. Super knowledgable staff, and so effecient. I loving going there with my GF and her pups! They have indoor and outdoor seating and they welcome outside food. Good thing, because the Lemongrass Thai place actors the way has great takeout! Funny encounter, was there with my girlfriend and here pups, and some random drunk guy said we were good together. He said he could tell, and I was a good guy. He said we should get married. It was our first in-person visit, although we had known each other online for ages. Turns out, "Drunk Guy" was right! So Drunk Guy and Hoppy Endings hold a special place in our hearts. read more

I have recently started drinking more of the specialty-type beers that you can't just get anywhere. Looking for a particular beverage, the "Where to Find" suggested Hoppy Endings. Easy to find, a very large establishment! Huge bar on the one side and lots of beverage choices on the huge shelves on the other side. I've been there a few times now and met a different person each time, but all were engaging and very knowledgeable about their inventory. I definitely recommend them and will be back in the future. read more

I'm in love with all of these local bars I've been visiting and Hoppy Endings is one of my new favorites! The decor is stunning and cozy with a giant wall filled with all kinds of liquor at the bar, picnic tables, couches, tvs, etc. You can buy cans of beer on one side and take a chance with a mystery beer on the other for $2 (I got a sour and it was good)! The bartender was friendly and the customers were welcoming. I didn't know a single person there (besides my husband) but they all treated us as if we were long time friends. Hoppy Endings is also dog friendly which is amazing to just sit back, enjoy a beer, a pet a dog or two. This truly is one of the best bars I've ever been to. The staff, the atmosphere, the people, the beer, the dogs. What more could you want in life? read more

Fun little place with great scotch, bourbon, whiskey and beer choices. We were visiting friends and their son told them to bring us here. He nailed it. Staff is one solo bartender that does a fantastic job. Three of us enjoyed a Isle of Sky Scotch on the rocks (nice pour) for $8 - can't beat that. The boys had a few local brews and enjoyed them. Great suggestion by the bartender. Loved the vibe. Plenty of outside seating but it's too cool inside to sit out there. They were fairly busy for a Tuesday night. They don't serve food but we saw lots of folks bring their own snacks etc. If we were locals we'd be here all the time!! read more

I was here for an outdoor event, and it was busy. The beer tap was generating foamy Sam Adams and the place was short staffed. Getting the first beer was easy, except for the foam issue... when I tried to get in for the second beer, only 1 person tending bar and a line several people deep. I gave up on getting the second brew and tapped the water cooler that was set up by the door instead. The band was GREAT, was hoping for a better experience with the brews. read more

This is absolutely my new favorite place!!! The place is super cozy and comfy with awesome bartenders. It's a bottle shop and awesome bar to hang out in. They will open any bottle for you to enjoy while you are there and you can buy bottles and six packs to take home. They also have a HUGE whiskey selection! They gave us a three ring binder to look through when making our whiskey selection. You're sure to find something you like! They also have a pretty big cider collection. I love cider and they offered quite a few that I had not had before. They have corn hole boards and an outdoor seating area. They also have some card games and board games that you can play. They said that in the warmer months they often have food trucks on site. I will definitely be back! I just wish they would open a new location closer to my house in Brier Creek!! read more

A bourbon lovers dream. My husband and I are new to the bourbon scene but with the help of a Facebook group we learned about this local hot spot. We tried two full pours on this visit, there are half and full pours available. The list is extensive and can be pricey depending on your selection. If you don't like bourbon there are other options available. Hoppy Endings is truly a hidden gem. read more

There are a few deciding factors that define a true neighborhood bar, and Hoppy Endings is it! The clientele at Hoppy Endings reflects just that. It's a hodgepodge of young and old, cool and casual, and all-around artsy. In other words, there's some great people watching here. I am very impressed how Hoppy Endings carries every type of liquor imaginable, offering the biggest whisky, bourbon and scotch selections, plus wine, craft beers, and so much more. The cocktail program is strong as the mixologists work with imagination and precision. The bar's casual vibe, and incredibly cool staff creates a sanctuary of an intimate setting. The outdoor section is also nice if you're looking for a relaxed place: *to grab a few drinks with friends *enjoy the welcoming patio upfront *cozy up by the fire pit *challenge your friends to a game of corn hole The patio space out back is spacious with a nice ambiance. Hoppy Endings is a laid-back vibrant neighborhood bar with a sizeable middle space that fills up on weekend nights. Come early for intimate conversations as Hoppy Endings is a perfect place to meet new and interesting people. Take a moment and enjoy the decor, and talk with the bartenders or other patrons who came for the same experience. As the weather gets warmer, I can't wait to enjoy the different food trucks that will be available by the bar establishment. Hoppy Endings is very pet friendly, and there is plenty of parking space! read more

Great place!! We came here when we were visiting family for the holidays and wanted a spot to go out of the house. It was everything great! We have a dog and brought her along. The bartender was great, made great cocktails and was super friendly to us and the pup. There are so so so many options for whiskey and beers and really everything in between. We definitely recommend it for any taste! We were only two but they also had a good amount of indoor tables for larger parties and so many picnic tables outside for days with better weather. Definitely go check it out! read more

Was there this past weekend and got two drinks. I gave a $3.00 tip which I clearly wrote on my receipt, but when I checked my bank statement, they conveniently added a $7.00 tip! That stupid stunt cost them a customer for life. I hope the owner fires the woman who did this to me. There are more honest places to get a drink from than these crooks. read more

There is no food only liquor and beer. Such a unique place. Service was very good. Ambiance is Very boho. The menu is literally on the wall. They have about 2300 bottles of spirits so there is a lot to pick from. I had a mango margarita-so yum. Hubby had a bourbon shot with a Guinness. He loved it. read more

Walls filled with whiskey, bourbon, beer what else is there to really say! I asked the bartender what are some good choices, since I was overwhelmed looking at the wall lol, I got the slow & low on the rocks and it's was nice! I don't know how this bar remained hidden from me for so long. Not sure how long they've been open, but I see some reviews from 12/2016... whattt??? Anyways, glad I found it because this may be my new favorite bottle shop in Raleigh. Really, it isn't fair to call it exclusively a bottle shop because their liquor selection is RIDICULOUS! It looks like the liquor goes up forever and ever like the wall from Game of Thrones (sorry, I've been rewatching all the seasons again for like the 6th time). I mostly care about the beer though, and their selection of beers is fantastic as well. I like that they keep a good selection in the coolers that you can drink on site. I just love everything about the place. How it is decorated, the comfortable seats, the chill vibe, everything. You would never know from the look of the shopping center, but this place is a hidden gem for sure. read more

Been hanging out here periodically since fall 2017 and have always had great experiences with the staff. Their selection is both eclectic and ridiculously massive. All the top bourbons and whiskey's. Fun atmosphere. Highly recommend. Pricing is reasonable. Will return. Bottoms up.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Not only do they have the best draft beers on tap, but the service is amazing. AND I'm really happy to see that they're taking all of the necessary precautions to help protect their patrons from the spread of Covid. The owner is in deep shit with the law, he might lose his bar if he keeps pissing the NC Alcohol Law Enforcement off. Overall, a great hang out! Great selection of booze! read more

It's a very simple procedure here: dream up a whiskey, and then try it. They offer half pours for those just browsing. Peated whiskey from India? Their own barrel of Widow Jane (a MUST try)? Be like me and have both. If you have even the slightest taste for liquor, you cannot possibly go wrong here. read more

A favorite bar of mine. Great beer options and good comfortable vibes inside. The patio i the back is also a huge plus.

NOT A SAFE PLACE!!!! My family member was harmed at this bar. When the issued was brought the their attention, the main concern was it would affect their business. It is sad to know a business is more important than a person's well being. DRINK AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! Only giving a star because it's required. read more

If you are a bourbon/whiskey fan, this is your dream pub. This place has an amazing selection of fine spirits, I don't know where it ranks nationally, but it has to be up there. Very cool bottle shop/bar in Raleigh, tucked away in a strip mall, it's a very discreetly located hidden gem. There is a set of picnic benches on the outside for nicer days, and picnic benches and bar stools on the inside. Incredibly thorough selection of liquor, specifically whiskey. If you're into variety and always want to try something new, this is your spot. There is a good selection of beer on draft at great prices- $4 pints are hard to find on non-Special days. They also have several specials for cocktails to choose form. There is also a large selection of bottled beer in coolers that they will pour for you. You can also peruse their store and take home a 6 pack to enjoy later. There are a lot of unique options here to choose from. In other words, there's a lot to choose from here! The interior is warm and inviting. Even better, it is clean (even the bathrooms). This is a great spot to come with friends to hang out! Will definitely be back. read more
