Had a delicious meal at Chef's Palette. I opted for the chicken dancers which was delicious. Good portions of everything and the crust on the chicken was perfect, not overbearing. Our service was great and there were not many other people dining that night so the waitress was able to be very attentive. Neat interior as well and they had a very interesting wine mural which I enjoyed looking at. Not too bad on the wallet either for what you get!

I'm not sure what's going on with this restaurant group: Chefs Palate, MacGregors and Serafina. New ownership? MacGregors at one time was a popular stop for my after work crowd. Food has turned to crap and no one goes there any longer. Chefs Palate was a good place now they're going to crap. Second bad experience I've had here. Why would you serve fries that are obviously so burnt? Come on guys get it together.

I used to come to this place a lot when it first opened years ago and I loved it. My son asked to go since it had been a while and I thought it would be a good place to treat him for his bday that had recently passed. I knew exactly what I wanted but they now have new ownership so of course that means a possible new menu!!! Though I was saddened the calamari and a couple of other items were no longer on the menu, no biggie!! Our waiter Justin was fabulous!!! When asked what he recommended he was honest and informed us that he had actually just started and was on his second week and hadn't tried a lot on the menu. Even though he hadn't tried much it all worked out. OUR ORDER: Appetizers: Deviled Eggs, Brie Bites & Ahi Tuna Wontons. We weren't really feeling the Brie bites, they weren't bad per se just our least favorite. The Wontons were #1 then the eggs. Entrees: The Pan Seared Duck Breast with a blueberry black pepper balsamic jam, served with almond & herb rice pilaf & garlic green beans and the Chicken Francese served over pesto mashed potatoes with sautéed mushrooms & roasted tomatoes finished with a lemon beurre blanc & a crispy arugula garnish!! Both choices were amazing!!! Dessert: Cheesecake Du Jour, Lavendar Honey Crème Brûlé & Blackberry Bread Pudding. Let me tell you something, that bread pudding is LEGIT, I will definitely be back for that!!! Our least favorite was the cheesecake but my son still ate it all lol. We will be returning to the Chef's Palette, if you get there before we do(lol) make sure you ask for Justin he was awesome!!!

Chef's Palette is under new management. They have made some changes to the atmosphere- and it looks great!! The waiting area has changed so that there is a place to sit if you have to wait for your table. The managers and servers are phenomenal. The food continues to be amazing! We ordered the flounder and trout. The portion size was great and everything was delicious! Can't wait to visit again and try more items from the menu.

A Must-Visit in Cary: Chef's Palate Delivers an Incredible Experience If you haven't been to Chef's Palate in Cary--or if it's been a while--don't sleep on this hidden gem! Located just off 540, not far from Holly Springs, this spot serves up an unforgettable dining experience. We started with the Parmesan custard with mushrooms and pita bread, and let me tell you--it was pure heaven. Smooth, creamy, and absolutely delicious. My son and I cleaned the plate so thoroughly I was tempted to lick it! Next, we shared the chicken lemon orzo soup, which was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. It was the kind of soup that feels both comforting and sophisticated at the same time. For our entrées, my son went all in with the bacon-wrapped filet, while I opted for the special: grilled shrimp with bucatini pasta. It was amazing--loaded with artichoke hearts, mushrooms, and tossed in a rich, house-made marinara that was absolutely divine. Then came dessert: the cheesecake of the night--Butterfinger. I barely got a glimpse before my son inhaled it! A true sign of a great dessert. To top it all off, Chef Carrie herself came out to thank us, which added such a personal touch to the experience. And our waitress, Nicole, was phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and on point the entire night. If you're looking for an outstanding meal with top-notch service, Chef's Palate is the place to be. Don't wait--go treat yourself!

Everyone enjoyed their dinner even my picky husband. The service was thoughtful and the ambiance was romantic. It was nice and quiet even though it was full.

This was our first visit. Our server was David and he was friendly and attentive just the right amount. The duck taquitos were great (the white sauce was a bit spicier than what I enjoy, but the cheese sauce was great and not spicy.) I tried the shrimp and grits for my meal. The meal was tasty but a little spicier than I anticipated and the grits were ever so slightly undercooked (still very edible and tasted good). I really enjoyed the Honeycrisp Bees' Knees (gin) cocktail. I think their hostess table may need a little work, and that the eclectic art for sale on the walls was interesting. I appreciated that the sound levels were pretty good in the restaurant.

Until a friend's meetup group scheduled an afternoon "let's have cocktails all afternoon" Friday. Yup, count me in! I got there right at the appointed time, and the early birds were already halfway into their wine. There is a large patio area outside with chairs and tables in small groups. A sunshade and some nicely placed trees help a little There are a few 2- and 4-tops scattered around as you enter. To the left is a large square bar that projects into the room. Behind it is a veritable library of liquors, towering to the ceiling, which is about 9-10 feet high. Seeing the bartender climb up the sliding ladder and fetch a spirit was part of the show. Further to the left are two seating areas with round tables. We had one of these. The Cabernet proved to be the darling of the group (I think we had three bottles and a few extra glasses, but no one was counting! There were eight of us, so don't think we're a bunch of drunks!) I had looked over the menu online and started with the "Up in Flames". It's a Tiki drink, served with a squeezed lime shell garnish that has a sugar cube and some kind of liquor in it. The waiter lights it while still on the tray, and then sprinkles in cinnamon, which sparkles into the drink. He then extinguishes the flame and serves it. It was quite a show and very delicious! If I ever go and sit outside, I'm going to film it! After a bit, we were getting hungry, so food started appearing. The fig & prosciutto flatbread arrived first, (with a single plate and napkin). It was a 12" x 6" flatbread spread with honey, figs, prosciutto, chèvre, and arugula. Another of these came out later. Quite delicious. Someone else had the nachos, which they said were amazing. After asking, the server brought out more plates and napkins. Other cocktails that we tried and enjoyed were the Perro Perdito (Lost Dog) and the Drastic Measures. The Mango-chili shrub in this one packed a bit more heat than the Jalapeño dip! But it was tasty, with the salt/tajin half-rim. After a few hours of fun food and drink and a lot of laughter, we decided to release our hold on the table. The dinner crowd was champing at the bit to take over, and we were pretty sated. Everyone was safe to drive, so we hugged all around and parted ways, well fed and better friends. Thanks, N&S. You may drag me back to Apex again any time!!

For starters, our waiter(if I'm not mistaken was also the bartender) was very attentive and gave excellent recommendations since it was our first visit. I ordered the rose water lemonade and my son ordered the strawberry lychee. Both were delicious so much so I asked could the two be combined without the carbonation that the lychee drink had. It was a hit!!!! For appetizers we ordered the Duck Egg rolls and asked the waiter to surprise us with the second appetizer. He chose the Pork Bao. The egg rolls were our favorite out of the two but both were great. For our entrees, my son ordered the General Tso Chicken. I couldn't decide between two dishes so I asked the waiter once again to surprise me. I ended up the whole fish(black bass) entree which was a phenomenal choice. The flavors were like a party in your mouth. It was seasoned to perfection and the sauce: OMG!!!!! Both entrees came with a bowl of fluffy rice. For dessert we got the mooncakes. They were ok.
