This place did NOT disappoint!!! It was an impromptu lunch but so glad we ended up here. We went to the Fenton location in Cary and have on our list to try the Raleigh location as well. For starters, our waiter(if I'm not mistaken was also the bartender) was very attentive and gave excellent recommendations since it was our first visit. I ordered the rose water lemonade and my son ordered the strawberry lychee. Both were delicious so much so I asked could the two be combined without the carbonation that the lychee drink had. It was a hit!!!! For appetizers we ordered the Duck Egg rolls and asked the waiter to surprise us with the second appetizer. He chose the Pork Bao. The egg rolls were our favorite out of the two but both were great. For our entrees, my son ordered the General Tso Chicken. I couldn't decide between two dishes so I asked the waiter once again to surprise me. I ended up the whole fish(black bass) entree which was a phenomenal choice. The flavors were like a party in your mouth. It was seasoned to perfection and the sauce: OMG!!!!! Both entrees came with a bowl of fluffy rice. For dessert we got the mooncakes. They were ok. The ambience was nice and welcoming. I don't drink but was informed that it was a place people go to take part in their amazing drink selections. That it is also a great place to read a book which they have plenty to choose from if you forgot your own and a good meet up or date spot. When you visit NC you think BBQ and Southern food, right? Well start thinking Asian because Brewery Bhavana is the best traditional Chinese Dim Sum I've had outside of NY and honestly even compared to what I've had in NY. The staff are wonderful people, friendly and welcoming, they have a menu that speaks to anyone who loves Chinese and an array of libations. The ambience is modern but warm, my favorite is being surrounded by wonderful books. And - gotta check out the wallpaper in the ladies room! Highly recommended! read more

Our first visit to the Fenton location. The inside decor is beautiful with elegant lighting and a pretty mural at the bar. We sat outside since it was the first sunny and slightly warm day in a long time. We got the chicken dumplings, seafood dumplings, and the sweet soy chicken. My husband also got a beer, which was very tasty. They were all delicious. I really enjoyed the seafood dumpling's savory sauce. It was perfect to dip the accompanying doughnuts into. I love brewery bhavana! I hadn't been to this location before and I wasn't disappointed. This location is smaller, so I recommend making a reservation beforehand. Luckily, we were able to sit at the bar. Their gluten free options are excellent, and they are great about asking you if you have any allergies. Our drinks were delicious. The service was excellent, filled our water frequently and asked if we needed anything. The portions for food are good. The table next to us did have room for a stroller if you happen to bring kids. This location has bit more limited menu and seems to cater more to cocktails and dim sum. Still, we enjoyed a Friday night date night that included their golden espresso martini (one of my fav espresso martinis around) and pisco sour (also very good!). We had crab Rangoon and another option, as well as shared an entree. The appetizers were a bit better than the main, as the chicken wasn't quite the best - the consistency was just a little off. For the price, as this is meant to very much be more of an elevated dining experience, I was a bit let down. But overall we left feeling very satisfied, and would definitely return! I think we'd likely do pre dinner drinks here and maybe check out dinner at another one of one great options in Fenton! read more

This was my first time visiting the Cary location after a short shopping trip at Fenton. It's located right on the corner near the parking lot for easy access to parking, plenty of outdoor seating, and such a cute location for a date night, girls night out, or any chill vibe you're going for. When I visited, I came really hungry but I left more than satisfied. My bartender (Sorry I forgot her name!) took excellent care of me. I love taking myself on solo dates and indulging in cuisines with no rush to be anywhere and she made the visit even better. I'm an Old Fashioned drinker, but I was nervous because of the sesame, but I trusted my bartender, and tried the Black Sesame Old Fashioned, and Sheesh! It did not disappoint! She made that drink to perfection! Perfect blend of sweetness while maintaining that original base of a traditional old fashioned. I ordered from the Dim Sum menu only (more than enough). I had the PORK & CHIVE SHUMAI and CHAR SIU BAO and they bursted with flavors just as I remembered from the location in Raleigh. I wish I had more room in my stomach to keep going with the Big Plates but I moved on to dessert instead and finished it off with the ROASTED BANANA CAKE SLICE. It was just enough. The cream cheese combined with the caramel icing sealed the banana flavor together to make a perfect dessert to finish my meal but not without grabbing one more Sesame Old Fashioned Haha! But I totally appreciate my bartender for keeping me hydrated with some water throughout my meal. As a big fan of their downtown location, I was excited to check out their new Fenton location. The interior is small and filled with natural light. We were greeted upon arrival and seated right away indoors. Additional seating is available outside on the patio. Our server was welcoming, patient, and funny. He introduced us to the restaurant and checked in on us throughout the meal. The menu is short, we chose the edamame ginger dumplings ($15.80), chocolate caramel turtle cake ($12.80), and a blackberry mocktail. Each thing we ordered we enjoyed. It is a little pricy, but reasonable for the quality and location. Lets just say it was so disappointed. The bao and dumplings are worse than the ones you could get at hmart or other Chinese groceries. The bamboo and cucumber salad also a miss. This place is EXCELLENT! First things first, the food was great. The stars of the show were the sesame chili noodles with bamboo and tofu skin and the chicken curry bao. Both were so flavorful and well cooked. Perfect ambiance with vining pothos hanging from the ceiling and prompt service. I had made a mistake with my reservation and called them 10 minutes before I was supposed to be there, and the staff member I spoke with was very helpful and accommodating! Would recommend getting a reservation if you go especially if it's on the weekend. Since it's a dim sum place, I would recommend getting several dishes to share with the table. It is not inexpensive (ended up being around $55 per person for 4 small plates, a salad, a noodle dish, and dessert) but a lovely spot for a group meal in a very nice part of town. read more

We decided to check out Brewery Bhavana at Fenton. We went in the evening on a Saturday and the place was rightfully packed, but we were able to get a seat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Beautifully decorated space with nice lighting / large windows looking out at the North Carolina trees. Beer was very good. Cool place to hang out! They have out door seating that opens up to a grassy courtyard. Started off with cold beer, it is a brewery! I got a Glean, crisp with a touch of fruit, very good. We ate outside and it was perfect! I'm a tequila guy, so I got the Oaxaca Old Fashioned and the Black Sesame Old Fashioned, both were very good. The newest addition to Fenton offers a great selection of beer and dim-sum for Caryites! Brewery Bhavana Fenton is a smaller, cozier version of the original space in Raleigh. Light and bright inside, the open dining room and patio out front gives you some options for seating. The menu is still being developed given they have just opened but has the usual bao, dumplings, and larger plates from the original. The taste is pretty authentic with some slight twists. Service is excellent and they check in on you frequently to clear plates, etc. I'll keep an eye on the place and see how it evolves after opening week! read more

We really enjoyed our visit to Brewery Bhavana this week. It was our first time at the Cary location. This location is really nicely decorated to create a casual feeling. The seating is split between indoors and outdoors. The food is the man draw for us here. Everything we had was top notch. My favorite dish was probably the Bao Buns, but the General Tso chicken was also a standout for having a distinguished flavor from most similar dishes that I've tried. It's a little on the expensive side as far as food amounts go, but the food quality that you get for that price is absolutely worth it. I highly recommend checking it out. read more

There's only one word to describe our waiter, Jordan: above and beyond. Not only did he investigate the ingredients of oyster sauce, he also did the same for fish sauce. Thanks to his diligence, we were able to avoid an anaphylactic response. It's very possible that he saved my life tonight. The food similarly wowed me. Came here for lunch service and it was not super crowded yet. We had a larger table and so we were seated in the back booth in the wall, which we loved! The atmosphere is so neat with the best wallpapers. Service was great and attentive. The menu is a bit lacking compared to their OG location, but they still have delicious dishes. We essentially got one of every larger plate and 4-5 smaller plates and it was enough to feed us. The sweet soy chicken was an incredible dish for us, it has the perfect crisp and flavor! Finally got to trying Brewery Bhavana's second location at Fenton in Cary! The service was great, and we were promptly seated in the open but spacious inside space with plenty of natural light! The ambiance was modern and comfortable. Our server Hunter was great as well. The beer and food were both delicious, and we were pleasantly surprised by the Mango Peppercorn Saison beer. The cucumber salad was delicious (but heavy on the peppercorn for those weary of it), and the cabbage rolls and Char Siu baos were both savory and soft! If you want to go here for an $11 beer, fine...but don't consider it a restaurant. The server let us know that their extremely limited and overpriced menu is prepared offsite and all they do is reheat. And the food tastes like it...you might think that the $16 crab rangoon here would be better than what you can get for $7 at Orient Garden, but you'd be wrong. It's also not worth a reservation, and I'm not sure they honored ours anyway. We got there right on the nose for our 7:15 reservation, and then was told it was going to be 20-30 minutes...but they could seat us outside immediately. Which was fine until it started raining. Service was fine, but the kitchen was slow. Maybe they have only one microwave? Didn't get to see much of the interior, but it was small. The exterior was nice enough, in a mall courtyard kind of way. I love a beer outside, but prefer CBC, Cotton House, or any of the other places in downtown Cary with a patio. Wonderful experience from start to finish. Beautifully designed -- airy, floral, brought in a bit of their Raleigh book theme. Was seated as soon as we walked in for our reservation. Our server Mike was just the right amount of helpful & attentive. Loved the slight kick of jalapeño in the crab Rangoon. We shared the barbecue pork bao buns (char siu bao) that came steaming in the cutest basket. Our sweet soy chicken was more than enough for two with delicious flavor and consistency. Brewery Bhavana is an incredible restaurant with amazing ambiance and really enjoyable food. Both locations are incredible in terms of service. You also can't really go wrong with any of the food options. It is all amazing. Even the drinks are incredible. I understand the concept is more of a shareable style, but just be aware if you come with a group, you really have to plan out what you're going to get as some dishes only come with say about 5 buns for example. So ordering multiples so everyone can try things and get enough to eat can get a little pricy. The General Tso's chicken is so good here. Also surprisingly the garlicky green beans are always a huge hit amongst myself and friends. I do wish there are more entree options. Overall Brewery Bhavana is a really great place to try. i will preface this by saying that i have a high standard for dim sum, having grown up eating it. overall, brewery bhavana is probably a slightly below average dim sum place compared to restaurants or even quick options in LA. not to mention it's pricey. i came here alone, no rez, sat at the bar, and ordered the xiao long bao, cucumber salad, shumai, and dim sum coffee. dim sum coffee was refreshing and not too sweet - definitely the best thing i had. cucumber salad was okay - i didn't prefer the way they chopped the cucumber but im just being picky. xiao long bao** was flavorful but i thought the wrapper texture was too gummy. i did like the XLB enough to order shumai. unfortunately the shumai was much too salty... very pretty but very disappointing! i would probably give this place a 3.5, im rounding up to 4 with the locality in mind and the vibes inside were very nice. generously staffed and attentive service. would only come here again for a business dinner, or something. one of those places where you pay for the vibe. ** for better soup dumplings that DONT cost $4 / dumpling (?!!?!?!?) go to Q noodles read more

We love the Raleigh location but this was a far cry. The menu is extremely limited with a handful of dim sum options and 3 entrees. The duck egg rolls and soup dumplings were mid at best. Two of the three entrees had fried chicken with no vegetables so basically just fried chicken with a sauce, literally tasted like a frozen Trader Joe's entree. The third entree available is cold sesame noodles. Makes me wonder what kind of kitchen they have. An air fryer and microwave? I guess they did have a steamer for the soup dumplings. I just read on another review that their server told them all food was prepared offsite and just heated up. That's exactly what it tasted like. $78 for a totally meh meal. Disappointing! read more

when here on a weekday around 3, was told they only serve Dimsum. It was my first time here, and wanted to have some beer. The beer was good. The Dimsum was tasty, but awfully expensive. Each dish was $17-ish, and it was like 4 tiny dumplings, lol, was hungry, so ordered another, and then when to McDonalds, hahaha. I would have needed like 5 of those to be full, It was tasty and the service was nice, the portions were just so small. Originally going in, did think it was expensive, but thought the portions would be larger for that price, anywho, maybe I'll check it out again for a lunch or dinner time. oh, the area was super sketch - people oding or something on the park and street nearby, so just be aware of your surrounding if you're outside the restaurant. ciao read more
