Parking is limited near the business. There is some street parking in the area and a few spaces behind the business. There is indoor & outdoor seating at the brewery. The outdoor seating area was very nice and spacious. There are tv's inside of the brewery with some tables. They have a nice selection of beers, meads, & a couple of ciders. Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. Love the location. Parking is a little tricky but we parked on the main street going through Wendell so it wasn't bad at all. We arent beer drinkers but one of the girls behind the counter was gracious enough to let me sample a few and I landed on Ginger Beer and really liked it. I got a full pint and it was around $10. They had plenty of seating with several TV screens. As your walking towards the restrooms you will see two dartboards which we enjoyed a nice competitive game - BTW girls rock (we beat our husbands). They also had dog treats and a waterering station for them. Just a great place to hangout with friends. We would definitely come back. read more

We absolutely LOVE everything about Bearded Bee Brewing!! First, they've spent considerable design, creativity, and time building an open, creative, welcoming space where friends and loved ones can share in community. Their beers are excellent, and after a wide spectrum of styles...every beer I've ever had here is fantastic!! The staff is awesome too!! Friendly, welcoming, sincere, and very passionate about beer. And if you happen to be out with a someone who's not a fan of beer...they have a delightful selection of wine, mead, and adult slushies, for whatever the drinker in you desires. I really wanted to love this place because it's in my community. They have super chill vibes. It isn't child friendly at all which sucks for us parents. They have a cool environment for getting work done and WiFi so that is the plus. I'll go back but their beers are just okay. There are better breweries in the area as far as beer. read more

Your local neighborhood Brewery. This place was packed on a Friday evening, especially the outside patio. A bunch of families enjoying some cold brews with their friends. Parents bought their kids, looked like an entire little league team was there. Inside there was live music and a birthday party. A good size venue with lots swag and a decent amount of activities. The staff were friendly and efficient. I ended up getting a flight so I could taste several beers. I just want a tasty beer in a place that doesn't make me feel like I'm surrounded by loud obnoxious college kids and the music isn't crazy loud. I think it means I'm just getting old? But found this place while passing through, it's a brewery with a rotating food truck outside, and rhetorical tap is incredible. There are about 7 IPA's on tap, se fruit and sour beers, and plenty of Pilsner's and lagers for dudes like me. Plenty of seating, super clean tables. There are high tops that are great for groups, smaller tables for solo travelers and plenty of comfortable looking chairs. read more

Really cute, clean brewery in downtown Wendell. Lots of merchandise options. Good beer selection with a few sours and ciders for those non-beer drinkers. Highly recommend the 'Resting Bee Face' a (very!) sour mango sour. No food options but there was a food truck available nearby. read more

I am still a fan of the Bearded Bee! They have great staff and quality live music, two hard to find amenities in many small breweries around NC. BB has some very comfortable seating arrangements; the very large couches are great for small groups or families! Unfortunately, the odds of having slightly inconsiderate solo individuals occupying those areas rather than the more appropriate tables scattered throughout area are considerably great. They definitely produce some very good brews on both ends of the spectrum, and since my preference is lightest or darkest, I can't speak to any of those in between. Like most other local drinkeries they do have outdoor seating, sadly those seats don't come with any sort of propane heat for the colder months, so dress warm if you plan on sitting outside. Stop in for a brew or two and enjoy the live music, hopefully the improvements will keep coming, Wendell needs a place like this. Cheers! read more

Went to BBB on a Saturday night with my wife. What a night on tap with Duke and UNC on the televisions with a live performance on the stage from Nicholas Vernon. BBB has no kitchen to speak of a relies on food trucks for provisions. Nothing wrong with that. They actually let you bring your own eats if you'd like. They allow well-beehaved (see what I did there?) dogs to join in on the fun. The place has a wide open feel inside with plenty of seating. There's also plenty of nice space outside with overhead lights and such. The beer selection is beyond adequate and the staff at the counter is knowledgeable about the beers on tap. What more can you ask for? We'll be back for sure! read more

I love seeing how small towns can be transformed when breweries open. While Wendell is still pretty tiny and quiet, I think in a year or two the downtown area will be abuzz (terrible bee pun). They did a great job with the look and design of the inside space. There are long tables available, some seating areas along the wall, and a nice outdoor patio with maybe 6 picnic tables and bench type seating the whole long side of the seating area. This is a very dog friendly spot as they were all over the place today. There are several types of beer available, so there's probably something for everyone. Flights are available and a good way to sample the various beer styles. I'd say the beer was pretty average, not bad but also not too crazy. read more

We "stumbled onto" this location while looking for a different place and glad we did. The staff is super friendly and know their product. They are dog friendly. They do not serve food, but have a food truck outside & permit outside food. There is a variety of seating options. They have a wide variety of beer, wine & mead. The atmosphere is family friendly. Awesome local brewery with a solid selection of beers. Some of the selection rotates and they do a good job trying out different beer styles. During the warmer months they have a really good frozen "beer" that any non beer drinker would enjoy. They also do cider and wine. The brewery itself is an old barn/warehouse and has an awesome feel to it. Between the town of Wendell and the brewery themselves, there is always something going on. Food trucks come regularly and the local businesses are within walking distance, most of which will allow you to walk in with a Social District cup. One of the coolest things about it is the old American flag it has hanging up, with 48 stars on it. read more

We visited today after lunch nearby and had such a pleasant experience! They had only been open 45 min so they weren't quite busy yet. We had our 3 kids with us so we grabbed one of the seating areas with a couch, chair and pillows, it was perfect for us! We had to use the restrooms and they were extremely clean as well! The decor is amazing and the beer tenders are so friendly and welcoming! Oh did I mention they have not only, beer, but wine, mead, ciders and some frozen drinks in a machine...yes, just go and give them your money, you'll be happy to do so! read more

We did not have a bad beer in the 2 flights we tried at Bearded bee. The Bee-rista is one of the best coffee beers I have tried. Their IPAs are really good, not super hoppy and very drinkable. Bramble Blackberry Cream Ale was my favorite, so delicious and not tart or overly sweet. read more

What a cool use of an old stable! Bearded Bee kept elements like the hay loft and converted this building into a bee-themed brewery. It's ultramodern and such a neat addition to Wendell. I didn't love the IPAs as they weren't hoppy enough for my taste but did love the use of local honey in the brewing. You can also buy the local honey on-site. They do offer flights so you can try many of the offerings without over-imbibing. Oh and the portraits of bee beards are buzzy! read more

I stopped by here Saturday for a beer after a BBQ cooking class around the corner. It was a nice day and they were busy. There was a food truck in front and there is outdoor seating. I went with their Wen-Da-Hell Hefeweizen. It was really really good. I think they offer roughly ten beers on tap as well as a nice wine selection. A brewery that supports the honeybees and local beekeepers! I loved the space, it was so beautiful plus it was neat reading about the history behind the building. We started off with a few flights, you get to choose 4 beers. The group favorites were the Bee Watch Pale Ale, Grandbarry Raspberry Cream Ale, Makin' It Rain ESB and Crooked Stable West Coast IPA. The beer to me was hit or miss, we liked some and really didn't like a few of the others. If you are in Wendell stop & taste what all of the buzz is about (per their sign). If you are not comfortable with people coming in and moving around without a mask then I recommend going at an off time. read more

Beautiful venue, great customer service, and really good beer. They offer flights, which makes tasting multiple beers so much more convenient. Every beer I tasted was good. The decor was a rustic-chic and there were food trucks right outside that you could bring in to eat. They had a little children's corner that was super cute. It was a small party and they held us a table. The beer selection is great along with cider and mead. The facility is modern, clean and open. A nice micro brewery in a pleasant location. We bought a couple of "flights" ( 4 glasses of 4oz each) so tried 8 beers and ciders. Of those 8 I would rate 2 as very good, 2 as good, 2 as Ok, and 2 as disappointing. Obviously everyone's taste is different and I'm certainly no cicerone. However, since micro breweries are experimenters by nature, it's unrealistic to expect all the beers to hit the mark with everyone. That's why the flight is a good choice to sample what's on offer. The venue is dog friendly with water and dog treats for our canine friends. The one thing I found odd, was then when I returned the flights and said my goodbyes, I did not get an acknowledgment. That's something they need to think about if customers are to become regulars. read more
