Stopped in on a Saturday for lunch and really enjoyed the spacious setup. There's a dedicated bar area and a separate counter for ordering food. Everything is ordered upfront, and the staff brings your meal out once it's ready. I had the shrimp po'boy, which was freshly made with a tasty tartar sauce and a generous side of fries. Ok Heyday! I'm so glad they have finally brought brunch here! I was able to try it during the Mother's Day debut and I was pleased at the options and taste. Heyday is always a cool, laidback spot in this neighborhood where people can come for drinks, food, trivia, live music and random events. I also loved that they have included the buckets of champagne and juice options. It's continued to expand here and provide more options and that's always a plus. I'm usually a regular for the pizza and drinks, but now I can add the brunch to my list and continue adding more interactions will cool bartenders here. I attended a birthday party here this weekend. It was awesome! The party was held in a private room with TVs, couches, tables, and chairs. They even let us decorate the space for the birthday girl! The place itself was super cool. I love the skeleton murals, the live music, the expansive drink menu, and the food. I ordered a tequila cocktail called Cheaper Than Therapy, which was delicious. They also have beer and THC drinks. Literally something for everyone! We ordered a bunch of apps and I really liked the loaded tots. Highly recommend! My friends and I celebrated my birthday here (and last year as well). I always enjoy coming here and will probably be back again next year for my birthday as well! First off, there is a dedicated event space room that is free to use as long as you give them a heads up in time and make sure it's available. Already that's a sell for me since a lot of venues require you to pay for a space. There are couches and tables / seating so it makes for a perfect place to hang. The employees have always been wonderful and offer quick service. The food and drinks are also top notch! I think it's quite impressive when a brewery offers cocktails that are on par with what you might find in an actual cocktail bar. Incredibly rare find! The food offerings are also delicious and perfect to share with friends. The venue itself is fun and spacious. There are some pinball machines and they often have live music as well. Easy place to find, it's in the middle of a residential area. Food and drinks are at opposite counters, so you go order your food, then go order drinks. Food was good, and surprisingly diverse! I came here for my friend's birthday party and we had a great time! I really liked the beer I had: Health Bar (a double IPA). They also offer THC beverages in cans if you aren't in the mood for alcohol. We got a variety of food items in the party room, so I tried a couple different things and really enjoyed their loaded tots, fried fish, and fried pickles. All the bartenders were nice and helpful, I got to try a sample before ordering my beer. The live music was near the bar so it was a little hard to hear, but the bartenders were great about verifying orders and drinks. You could stay open until the posted hours. It's bad enough you close earlier than every other bar on earth but then you don't even stay open until what you post!? closing an hour early on a Friday night and it's not dead....unacceptable. Also 10 dollars a beer is a bit steep..as far as the ambiance if you are looking for kids play space vibes this is your brewery way too many kids...this is a bar. Bartenders could use more personality as well all of them. It's a shame because I live extremely close and wish I could enjoy it more. Heyday Brewing is such a fun spot hidden in an unassuming neighborhood. I love that both the food and drink selections have a lot of variety. Their peach cider is delightfully refreshing, and their IPAs pack the perfect amount of hoppy flavor. My party ordered the catfish bites which were wonderful, as well as the Buffalo chicken pizza. Make sure you really enjoy spice, as this pizza was too hot for some of our group to bear. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and felt a little uncomfortable that despite business being slow, the bartenders seemed inconvenienced/unhappy to help us. Friday afternoon. Looking at a house for sale in the neighborhood and saw this place. Decided to stop in. Wife and I sat at the bar. Bartender was friendly but not overly chatty, which I'm ok with. Visited in Valentine's Day because we had friends in town and live in the neighborhood. Not only was 3/4 of the bar reserved. The line was long and no one mentioned any specials especially when we ordered food. I noticed on the fb page there was a pizza wine combo but was not made aware of it only a disgusting bourbon drink with candy sprinkles. If you are not a regular no one there cares about you. I had to ask a young lady to clean off a table and the bathrooms are not clean happy to have a brewery in out neighborhood but this one is poorly managed. read more

This Brewpub in the 5401 North neighborhood has undergone so many transformations! I do believe they have really succeeded in food quality consistency. The current menu has a nice variety of burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, salads, wings, and more. Pizzas are now hand-tossed and the Pepperoni with Spicy Honey is my favorite. Burger quality is way better than it used to be. Our experience has been that they do cook them pretty well done, but are juicy and flavorful. Also highly recommend anything with the Blackened Chicken. I had it on a Caesar Salad and it was seasoned so nicely and very tender. Beer selection is not huge, but has a nice variety. Three different size pours for each. They also have a few wines, and some mixed drinks. Entertainment is where they excel these days. There's almost always live music, or trivia, music bingo, drag shows...there are even a couple of pinball machines. I recommend following on Instagram and/or Facebook for specials. Tuesdays usually mean $10 pizzas, and Wednesdays half price wine bottles or a couple bucks off a glass of wine. Indoor & Outdoor seating, plus a room you can reserve. Plenty of parking. This place has the potential to be a 5 star brewery but missed the mark with a few things. The pricing for the food was bit high. I got the chicken tenders that came with fries, the mango habanero ones were good but the lemon pepper ones were a no. Way too salty it's like they dumped the shaker all over it. The ciders I had were good. As far as beer prices go they are a little higher than the bars and other breweries I've been too. The decor inside is nice and outside ,as well so plenty of seating. Heyday Brewing sits back off 401/Louisburg Rd in NE Raleigh. I have been there twice and there is always a decent amount of patrons. Parking is easy, there is a parking lot as well as street parking. When you walk in through the main entry walk down an entrance way where there are bags of malt and grains lined up on each side. To the right side is the bar and seating (Along w some video games and the outdoor entrance) to the left is more seating, the kitchen area and the bathrooms. The building is spacious offering separate tables, barstools as well as picnic type community seating. They have a variety of beer and cocktails. All of which my drinking friends seem to enjoy. The food is really delicious. I've had their fried pickles (hard to mess those up) and their wings (1/2 hot, 1/2 BBQ) I was impressed w how delicious the wings tasted! When your food is done you actually have to walk up and get it yourself. They typically notify you via text message. Overall it was a great experience. A semi-hidden find being a bit off the beaten path this was a fun experience. They have two separate sides, the bar and the eatery, which was a bit of a pain just due to having to be in two different lines and pay at two different stations, but that was the only downer. The space is very large with both indoor and outdoor seating. The outside is dog friendly for those that might want that feature. The food was bar food and just fine for the location we were in. The bar staff was quick with drinks and moving the line. They have plenty of seating inside and a few arcade style games you can play. It can be noisy in there with the open atmosphere, but it's a bar, so it's expected. They are family friendly and there was a sports team celebrating after a game in there while we were there, which most definitely contributed to the noise, but it didn't bother us. Just a note for people it may influence. Overall: A Solid semi-hidden find with a fun vibe and an easy going experience. read more

Wow- what a great place just a short way off of the Neuse River Trail! We decided to check it out- the live music was a draw to stay. The guy playing was actually quite good. Had a few of the lagers- most places have one, they had four! Plenty of IPA for folks that like that (I don't) and a good selection to please any beer lover. Several wines and cocktails to choose from as well. My wife had a frozen strawberry margarita, a sour, and a regular margarita on the rocks. All good. We ordered a caprese pizza- YUM! I was really surprised at how good it was for a brewery. Nice Italian style crust, fresh ingredients, and well made. Outdoor area was great. We started on the sun. This business is spacious and modern. I'm not sure when it opened but it looks fairly new inside. There is parking in the front and a parking lot in the rear of the business. We went to this brewery during the week in the evening and there were quite a few people there. The business does require that masks be worn inside of the business. The business is also dog friendly. They also offer free yoga once a week. There were several tables indoors and outdoors along with a tent on the side of the business with seating. The business offers a variety of beers. They also have other options such as cider and Prosecco. I got the Prosecco brut. It was a lot drier than Prosecco that I have had in the past. I've been to Heyday a few times before. It looks like the food menu has changed so I was excited about trying something new. I like that you can order your food at the bar now. They send a text once your food is ready, which you pick up over at the food counter to the left side of the brewery. The bartender even mentioned he would also watch out for my order and bring it to my table if he saw it so I thought that was nice. I ordered 2 appetizers - chili cheese fries and the chip & dip trio. I think it came out within like 5-10 minutes. I wasn't expecting it to be done so fast. The chili cheese fries were loaded with lots of chili and cheese. The chili was good, it had a hint of sweetness in it. The queso and guacamole in the dip trio were very good. I tried 2 of their imperial sours - mango and pineapple. I think I liked the pineapple one more. They have a parking lot and I've never had any problems with the parking lot being full. read more

Heyday opened just three days ago, so they're still working out the kinks. The facility is nice and big inside (seating obviously COVID limited), and there is a good selection of outdoor tables. Some are on their patio while there's a large outdoor tent with more tables underneath it. It was very windy the day I went and currently there are no heaters set up (unknown if they'll be added as we're headed into spring). Take a coat if you'll be there in the late afternoon as the sun goes down behind the building and it cools off quickly. They have things divided up inside. One half of the building is for ordering food while the other side is for getting beer. The menu looks to have some good choices, but I had other dinner plans. I ordered the blackberry pastry stout; the sign talked about notes of cobbler (nom nom) so I was sold. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed. I don't know if I got the wrong drink or what, but it seriously had no taste whatsoever of blackberry or cobbler. I can't describe what it tasted like because it didn't taste like anything except a stout. No real flavor except for it being dark, if that makes sense. My friend (who knows his beer) took a sip and agreed that it was not good. He said the blonde ale he ordered was average. I'll probably give them another try in a few months or so when things have settled down. Hopefully the beer improves. The staff were very friendly and there are homes being built everywhere around the brewery, so it will probably have steady business. read more

Beer was decent, food was ridiculously overpriced, and there was something fishy going on with their billing. Beers: I had Bodacious which was a strong standard hazy DIPA that I would have again, and a West Coast IPA that I forget the name of. My partner had a Pilsner that was okay, not great. Overall the beers were alright. Good variety and the ones I had were tasty enough. Food: I paid $8 for 5 bite sized pieces of catfish. It's almost comical. I wonder if the chef or owner is aware that catfish is dirt cheap. Hope they enjoy the 2000% mark up, because I'm not likely to ever order food from here again if these are the portions I can expect. Billing: my credit card company called me because my bill at Heyday went through with a 160% tip, which is obviously incorrect. Came by here this evening to kill time to eat and have a beer while my son boxed. I was greeted by a lovely blonde bartender who was semi-helpful. I was discussing the online menu and she quickly told me that online information was not accurate. So, I looked at the printed menu. I ordered an IPA, mozzarella sticks, and a caprese salad. I'm so disappointed. My salad was not on mixed greens as advertised, and there is no basil in it... there was barely a drizzle of balsamic...that's part of what makes a caprese. My mozzarella sticks were good, but the marinara was ice cold. I've been here a total of 40 minutes, and NOT ONCE has a server stopped by to check on me. I wanted another beer, but I'm assuming since my check is closed out (I paid up front), they don't care. I have a plate full of plain chopped romaine lettuce that I can't eat (I was going to ask for ranch if someone had come by so I could at least get my $13 worth), but again, nobody even stopped by to see if I needed anything further. So, I'm leaving now, feeling really disappointed and unsatisfied because the service is terrible and the food is lacking. My beer was delicious. I don't recommend this place and I won't come back. Nice size brand new location. The staff is friendly, they offer samples of the beers before you commit to a pint (all $6). We enjoyed our beers at Hey Day, the Drive Thru Margarita was my favorite. Not a huge fan of having to order beer and food at two different counters but I will get over it. We tried the fries which were a decent shareable size, really liked the heyday sauce. Restrooms were clean and we appreciated the extra stock of paper and lady products. Highly recommend getting some small trash containers for the lady stalls. Great that they have a living wage policy with an automatic 15% tip to support this policy. read more

They ordered an oatmeal stout and both said the beer was bland and flavorless. They ordered the one beer and didn't get another. Then there was the food, which you order at a different counter from your beers. Boyfriend ordered the dry-rubbed wings and got 6 for $12. That price is a little ridiculous for wings, not to mention there is an automatic 15% liveable wage fee added to purchases. Which is basically an automatically added tip. I'm all about earning a liveable wage but I promise I'm going to tip more than that 15% but if I'm forced to pay a 15% tip automatically, I usually don't add more to it. I ordered the heyday smash burger and was disappointed. There was supposed to be two patties but the second patty on my burger was half the size of the original. It didn't even fit the bun. So basically I paid $14+ dollars for 1 1/2 patties, cheese, and a bun(I requested nopickles onions). I've had much better and much fuller burgers for cheaper. Overall, not impressed.
