    Dill Pickle Pimento Cheese

I love Wye Hill for a drink and came recently for the first time for brunch. I got the iced coffee - which is the only coffee they have - and it was good when mixed with the creamer. My friends and I also split the pimento cheese/fried dill pickle appetizer, which was DELICIOUS. And then I got the shrimp & grits. My mistake was getting without the chorizo. I don't like chorizo but if that's the clase for you, I would recommend getting something else. It was good but only 3 shrimps. Overall, I enjoyed the food and coffee. At one point before we were able to order we did not see our server for a while, but that was the only frustrating part. Otherwise, she was lovely and attentive.

Had dinner here last night and it did not disappoint! Large selection of drinks. Good selection of food. Our table had the deviled eggs appetizer then we each had a burger. Everything came out as asked and was delicious! Staff were very friendly and the wait was pretty short for a Friday night.

We came on the last day of the winter menu so got to try some of the fall seasonal items before switching over to spring. The food was all great and the service was also very good an organized. The hostess that sat us actually took our drink order and noticed they had a specific bar runner as well as others helping with food!

Great little place with craft food service. I had the Wye Burger and Skyline beer with deviled eggs for an appetizer. Great service, fun atmosphere. Wonderful spot for people watching.

I came here to try the restaurant week 3 course meal and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed the fried green tomatoes caprese, the birria burger and the raspberry mouse dessert. The birria was very flavorful. I enjoyed the fried green tomatoes. The mozzarella and balsamic with arugula was great flavoring with the fried green tomatoes. The service was great. The staff were attentive and professional as always. Extra perk is that Wye Hill has a patio and they're dog friendly. The Moscow mule was refreshing I just would've preferred it in a cooper finished cup. Today was a nice afternoon to enjoy food and drinks on the patio.

One of my favorite Raleigh restaurants. Love that they have THC cocktails, the vibes are amazing, and the service is always on point. All the food is delicious but the Brussels Sprouts really have the key to my heart.

First time to this restaurant and we loved it. They were doing their Christmas theme and we ate on the well-heated patio. For an appetizer, we had Deviled Eggs, which contained country ham, sweet potato, dill and horseradish. They were very good. The kids had Sweet Potato Soup and a the Wye Hill Burger. The Wye Hill Burger had a 6 oz burger patty, fried green tomato, smoked gouda, cheddar, bacon and chipotle crema. The Loaded Sweet Potato Soup combined fried sweet potato skins, country ham crumbles, smoked gouda and crema. This item was gluten free. For the main course, we selected the Pan-Seared Salmon with wild rice, red pumpkin curry and pepitas; as well as the Wild Rice Grain Bowl. The bowl included sweet potato, pickled onion, heirloom cherry tomato, arugula, lemon vinaigrette and we added the salmon. Both salmon dishes were excellent. Service was great and I will return.

Quick dinner review. I was dining solo a few weeks ago and decided to try out Wye Hill Kitchen & Brewing. It's an eclectic place in the Boylan Heights section of Raleigh. I started with a beer sampler from their menu, mostly IPA's, all were good. I then had the Chicken Schnitzel which came with a side of mashed potatoes and salad. It was great. I sat at the bar and the service was great. Overall it was a really good experience.

We went in for a quick bite, got a couple apps and a beer ! They have a lot of seating, outdoor (covered) outdoor by the street as well as indoor! We chose to sit at the outdoor covered space as it was raining. Owen was our server, he was very nice quick and prompt. We got the grilled asparagus and the ripple fries w/ pimento cheese + dill pickle dip! Both were soooo good! We were looking forward to the fried chicken drums that were wasn't there on the current menu.

Wye Hill is well known for its Brew with a View, but what about its food? The scenic patio on Boylan Bridge provides an excellent backdrop to the outdoor dining space, a view of downtown from a distance like no other. Even when it's cold you will find the patio plenty warm. The small menu focuses on offering a limited selection of dishes, with a few options, surprisingly there are very few vegetarian entrees. The menu does have what some may call a "coveted" Wagyu Burger, which is apparently considered a local favorite and something I just had to try. Much to my disappointment they serve it overcooked, erasing some of the subtle flavors of the meat, and at 27$ a burger that is real disappointment. Their deviled eggs come out like tiny, edible cloud pillows--each one a perfectly halved little wonder, topped with a swirl of creamy, tangy filling that seems to have been piped straight from a gourmet dream. The paprika dusting is like a sassy little sprinkle of spice, daring you to take a bite. The service is warm, attentive and on time. When you leave you know you'll be back--just not sure when. Cheers!

Solid spot with good food and an even better view. Had some friends take us there and had a good time. Awesome outdoor space with solid service.

Parking is on the street. They have the option of indoor or outdoor seating, but the indoor seating was actually hotter than outside. The water was also warm. Not sure if that's the norm or if AC went out. They have a decent list of beers, but it's basically all IPAs. They do have food, but it's a bit pricey. Overall vibe is more hipster. If that's you, this is a good place. Service was friendly!

We love Wye Hill and it definitely serves as a neighborhood staple in Raleigh. We went for Mother's Day brunch and had a great time; excellent customer service as well. I recall having the hash previously but it did not live up to my memory this time. We absolutely loved the churro french toast and shrimp & grits dishes. The ambiance is fun and I will keep up the occasional visit to this spot.

The bones feel nostalgic, but the overall vibe is current and lively. It's the kind of place that feels familiar but still cool. Service Service is where things really clicked. Our server knew the menu inside out and guided us through it with confidence. Every recommendation landed. It also felt like one of those menus where it would be hard to order poorly. The Food The menu leans comfort food with a modern edge, and it's done really well across the board. We started with a Caesar salad with dill pickle dressing, which sounds like it shouldn't work but absolutely does. Bright, fresh, and just different enough to be interesting without trying too hard. The beet salad was also excellent, clean flavors and well balanced. Then came the pimento cheese with fried crackers. This might have been the sleeper hit. The crackers are dangerously good. Simple idea, executed perfectly, and hard to stop eating. For mains, the fried chicken was solid but didn't stand out the same way the starters did. The short rib pot pie, on the other hand, was exactly what you want from a dish like that. Rich, flaky, and deeply comforting. Overall Poole's is the kind of place where everything feels considered, from the space to the service to the food. It's approachable, well executed, and very easy to enjoy.

We opted for a reservation at the bar, and we enjoyed excellent service from Brittany and Kylie. They were attentive and very detailed with the excellent service that we have found out is the norm in every one of Ashley Christensen's restaurants. Our starter of roasted beets had an incredible blend of buttermilk blue cheese with white balsamic thyme, pickled pumpkin, and Marcona almonds. So yummy. Then my husband and I shared the Ricotta Gnocchi that we agree is the BEST gnocchi we have ever had the privilege of eating. So light in spite of a duck bolognese being the sauce. Fried rosemary sparked my home chef mind for future meals! We also shared the Brussels sprout upon Brittany's recommendation. One of the most unique preparations on Brussels sprouts ever with oyster mushrooms and a sherry cream sauce. We typically pass on dessert, but the description of their Pear Tart Tatin coupled with Kylie's verbal description hooked us and we were thrilled to enjoy every bite of the hazelnut praline ice cream that is part of this beautiful dessert.

I was thrilled that most of the menu was available. They were just out of the banana pudding. So I got to try the pecan wings I read about with the white sauce. It was so good. Then I got the chicken pot pie and biscuits. The pot pie had old biscuits for the topping, but the creamy mixture with large chunks of chicken was delicious. My biscuits came with honey and were served warm. I left with a slice of the chocolate-caramel-coconut cake, a side salad without onions, and a fried boneless thigh. The salad was made correctly, and the dressing was included. The salad was full of veggies, and the cake was rich and moist. Service was friendly and as soon as I finished my iced tea, another appeared. My wings were brought out first and it was a while for the rest of the meal as the restaurant was full. But they didn't rush me at all. I actually liked the space between the dishes, as I might not have been able to eat it all otherwise. First of all, I implore anyone wanting to go, make reservations during peak hours! We entered through a big heavy wooden door into the quasi-dark atmosphere and were promptly seated, despite most of the tables being occupied. We were given a two top and started with chips and guacamole. I was impressed with the chips, they were a little extra thick, had tiny bubbles in them. Certainly a far departure from the typical thin, overly salty chip found at most restaurants and grocery stores. Excellent guac with a little pico and lime wedge on the side. I ordered the Baja bowl with shredded adobo chicken. The bowl had green rice, black beans, a whole lot of kale, tomatillo sauce, pickled red onions, crema, and cilantro. It needed a little more, so I added in some of the guac, a few chips I crumbled in my hands for some crunch, and some fresh lime juice. Noah did a good job keeping our water glasses full and he was quite friendly. However, the restroom situation is a bit difficult. There are two small unisex bathrooms, both of which have to be locked. There can't be more than one person in there at the same time, so plan accordingly. The patio blurs the boundary between inside and out, inviting breezes, laughter, and the occasional curious passerby to join the scene. Inside, it's a playful clash of textures and tones--lush greenery tumbling from shelves, vibrant colors dancing against natural wood, and polished metals winking from every corner. It's the kind of place where a cocktail feels brighter, conversations linger longer, and even the sunlight seems to stay for just one more round. From the moment you step in, the welcome feels less like service and more like being let in on a good secret. The staff greet you with easy smiles and a kind of genuine curiosity--like they're actually glad you chose this spot, today. There's no script, no stiffness--just a natural warmth that settles in as quickly as the sunlight. Behind the bar, the bartenders move with quiet confidence and a touch of showmanship. They know their craft, but they don't flaunt it--they share it. Ask for a classic, and it arrives perfectly balanced; ask for something new, and they'll read your mood like a seasoned mind-reader. The deviled eggs arrive perfectly plump, sunshine-yellow centers whipped into a silky, indulgent cloud and topped generously with the red peppers that bring just the right whisper of fresh garden drama, they're rich without being heavy, playful without trying too hard--the kind of bite that makes you pause mid-conversation, raise an eyebrow, and make you want to slowly work through the next one. They only come in odd numbers, sharing isn't caring on these. The BBQ hot honey pork ribs show up like they own the place--sticky, glistening, and just a little bit dangerous. The meat barely clings to the bone, surrendering at the slightest nudge, impossibly tender yet somehow still juicy, with those caramelized, crispy edges that feel like the best kind of rebellion. Sweet heat from the honey lingers just long enough to keep you coming back, fingers unapologetically messy and completely worth it. And then there's the mac & cheese--rich, velvety, and indulgent in a way that feels almost mischievous. Each spoonful stretches and melts like it's putting on a show, wrapping you in buttery comfort while quietly stealing the spotlight. Together, it's a plate that doesn't ask for your attention--it demands it, and you'll be more than happy to oblige. Cheers!
