Matcha and coffee

Love the ambiance and drinks at little native. There is a cool secret hidden room as well. Baristas are always friendly.

I was on a morning stroll downtown and stopped for an oat milk chia tea. Honestly it was the perfect sweetness, I didn't have to add anything to it and it came out at a drinkable temperature. This place is super adorable, they have indoor and outdoor seating that's both pet friendly. And the library is also a nick nack shop with locally made goods. Friendly service, there's usually one barista who makes everything fresh so there may be a well worth it wait.

My son and I roam the Triangle looking for the best coffee spots. He actually found this one which is located just east of downtown Raleigh. It's nice, quaint and a bit eclectic. They have a speakeasy room through a hidden door in the bookshelf. Another patron mentioned that people reserve them for coffee and tea tastings. Interesting. Anyway, the coffee was very good and not bitter or over roasted. My son had some sort of flavored latte and he enjoyed it.

Ham and cheese croissant and two cold brews

I was so excited to visit this little gem! There were some pros and cons. The vibe and aesthetic were dark green, cozy, and giving rainy day. It was on the smaller side, so we didn't feel comfortable staying too long as it was filling up. Unfortunately, I ordered a vanilla cold brew and added cream and sugar - and it was fairly foul. I was able to stomach a few sips and had to toss it. I'm unsure how it was so bad. It was also Saturday around 9:45 AM and they only had one ham and cheese croissant, when we wanted two. The shopping area was so cute and had some great local goodies (I actually got a fabulous little mug!) but it's on the shelves behind the chairs so I couldn't actually access most of it. I wouldn't discourage from visiting but unfortunately, I will not rush to return!

Local GEM! Real cool vibe inside. Service always incredible. Feels like your VIP. Love to just come , sit and drink my iced coffee out back.

Little native is becoming one of my favorite downtown Raleigh coffee shops. I love the design with all of the natural plants and the serene vibes of the coffee shop, plus they have an amazing outdoor patio space which is perfect for working or just catching up with friends. They make delicious coffee drinks, the perfect balance of flavor and strength. I love trying their seasonal lattes as they are always fun to enjoy and unique like the pistachio butter latte I got today. I do wish they had a few more food options in the shop but overall it's the perfect neighborhood coffee shop.

It's a nice little space, but I was surprised that the people working there seemed drowsy. I was not there particularly early, and service was a bit laconic. I was also surprised that when I ordered a waffle off their menu, they acted a little baffled and had to check whether they had it. They did, and it was a nice waffle, but didn't come with any sauces or toppings as I'd expected. The chai I got was advertised with a house ginger syrup and that delivered on flavor and had a nice kick. Still, I was kind of underwhelmed with the experience.

This little coffee shop is beautiful and such a hidden jewel. Beautiful mugs that make it feel like every coffee is a splurge and a treat. The coffee art is on point. It gives off secret garden vibes. Loved the coffee and the barista/cashier were so welcoming and nice.

This place is amazing! Unassuming charm! Reminded me of "unfortunate Events" vibe. Yes it's little with a few seats cozied together inside and a nice patio seating setting. The menu is small but has all the things u want, and the coffee was silky and yummy.. the scone was subtle and sweet goodness! The service was a 5 out of 5

Iced banana latte with skim milk

Friendly baristas and good coffee. I got a banana iced latte and it was very yummy. The barista recommended it to me and it came out so fast! There isn't a crazy amount of indoor seating (maybe ~12 seats inside) but there is a very nice outdoor patio!

Quaint and cozy coffee shop with live plants hanging from the shelves and a small courtyard. There is a room with swivel chairs with bookshelves filled with items sold by local artists and a hidden room only accessible by a secret entrance. . I got an iced latte with oatmilk and sugar-free vanilla. Soooo good:)

Cozy and cute indoor area

If I were a local, Little Native Coffee would probably be a favorite! This cozy coffee shop is just inviting with its calming green interiors and how chill the whole atmosphere is. My iced vanilla oat latte was around $6 but it was huge for the price! Also very well made and creamy. They have a huge outdoor patio as well. Enjoyed my time here and thank you for the amazing coffee!

The best coffee spot in Raleigh!

Although the space is tiny, the desserts and cocktails more than make up for the line out front, and the noisy nature of downtown locations! There were 4 of us and we enjoyed the strawberry pretzel pie, derby pie, ice cream, coffee, and old fashioned. First of all, AMAZING cocktails- and an epic list of whiskeys, bourbons, and scotches. They've also got some custom beverages that you cannot find else. Super thumbs up for originality of cocktails, creative menu presentation, and speed of service! The derby pie was good- but I like mine with a denser filling. My friend enjoyed her strawberry pretzel pie, and the fact that not many places offer this on their menu. But, she said it was not as good as homemade. The gents in our party RAVED about how great Bittersweet's old fashioned drinks were! They said that these were definitely in the top three beverages they had ever had! This hole in the wall had a bridal party, some goth appearing folks, and suits too. In short, no matter what you like to drink, what you enjoy eating for dessert, you will find it here!

It was well made. So much so I had two! For food, these are shareable small plates. Morning truly felt like a meal. The food came out fast and was hot/fresh. I had the crab claws, crispy shrimp and dumplings. The crab claws were delicious. Lots of them too. Served with bread I didn't use. The crispy shrimp were nice large shrimp and a spicy sauce with rice. I ended up using the rice with the crab claw sauce. And the dumplings were ok but I didn't eat many of them. They were my least favorite. I would come back to enjoy coffee and breakfast, but doubt I come back for dinner.

I could see myself coming by and sitting down for a quick brunch, meeting up with friends, or staying for a work session.

My partner got the iced version--which was somehow even better than the warm version. I don't like my coffee drinks too sweet, and they struck exactly the right balance. It tasted like there was real strawberry (and not just a super-sweet syrup). Unfortunately, this is probably because the chairs were the equivalent of sitting on a guitar pick. The rest of the decor similarly resembled a mid-century modern insane asylum. All this is child's play compared to the drinks. I was hoping they would redeem the experience. I was rooting for you, iris coffee lab. The matcha left me wanting more. I couldn't taste even a whisper of matcha flavoring, and the price was laughable for a glass of green milk. When my flat white arrived, I felt that twinkle return to my eye. Sadly, about 3 sips later, as I neared the end of my beverage I was shocked to discover a texture component I was not expecting. After a lot of contemplation, I have decided I am not a fan of coffee grounds swirling around my mouth. The customers are hip and trendy, the employees exceedingly friendly and speedy, the drinks bespoke and innovative, but I think we need to cut out the frills and go back to the basics. Why play 3D chess when you've yet to master tic tac toe? I think the experience was net neutral, but for how steep the pricing is, I feel it's my duty to let the world know what they're getting into.

I'm a big fan of lighter-roasted, funky, expressive coffees, and Black & White absolutely delivers. Their roasting style leans into vibrant, fruit-forward profiles, and they do it with confidence. The downtown Raleigh location is fantastic too. It's right in the middle of everything, making it a great stop for a date night, meeting up with friends, or just dropping in for a quick but exceptional cup. Their seasonal menu was small but mighty -- just a couple of options -- but the kind where every drink looks so good you wish they'd never rotate them off the menu. I started with the orange cardamom flat white, and it was perfect in every way. Beautifully presented and incredibly balanced. The espresso, milk, orange, and cardamom all complemented each other without any one flavor taking over. It was nuanced, aromatic, and just a joy to drink. For my second drink, I ordered a Rodrigo Sanchez pour-over, a co-fermented Colombian coffee labeled with passion fruit notes. It was everything I want from a pour-over -- bright, juicy, and expressive, with the kind of sweet stone fruit and berry notes that make light-roasted coffee so exciting. Black & White continues to prove why they're one of the most respected specialty roasters around. If you love adventurous coffee with huge flavor and careful execution, this place is an absolute must-visit.
