The working taking my order moved to fast in a way where she didn't give enough time to type in my number for my loyalty points and she didn't give enough time to type my email address. Which lead to have to manually do it. She did the same thing with the customer behind me. I do wish they had marshmallows for my hot beverage. The service was quick and they had a lot of coffees and pastries to choose from. I got the ham and cheese croissant ($4.50) and a raspberry latte, 8oz, ($3.50). They let me use my reusable coffee mug, which I always love. Quick and tasty, you can grab and go, or you can sit at a table and get some work done while you enjoy the food and coffee. To this day I've only had mushroom coffee once in my life and it was here when it was on special. It was very different than regular coffee but very tasty all the same. Supposedly, magic mushrooms give you mind powers, not quite to the level of Professor X but they elevate the consciousness and expand your perception...or at least that's what they told me. This place is super tiny and very very busy. Line out the door most of the time. For good reason, it's very very good. I love all the unique gifts they have around and the decor is pretty cool, including burlap coffee bags on the ceiling from various foreign countries. Prices are better than Starbucks, yuck, and way better coffee than anything the green logo pumps out in bulk. Came here to grab an early morning coffee and was generally happy with the experience. First, there's a public parking lot right across the street - no idea if it gets super busy later in the day, but it had plenty of spots in the AM. The shop had a bunch of interesting merch for sale, so that was pretty entertaining to check out while drinking our coffee. We ended up buying a mug and it was reasonably priced. Our lattes weren't bad! Nothing extraordinary but they were prepared quickly and tasted fine. I would definitely come back here if I was back in Apex and needed some caffeine :) read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here for breakfast on Sunday morning because we were in the area and because of the excellent reviews. It was really busy and we got one of the last tables. We placed our order for two dark roast coffees with room for cream and two bagels; plain and everything, double toasted with cream cheese. The coffee house is cute with unique mugs and clocks used as decorations, but are also available for purchase. We got our bagels and were disappointed that they came out of a bag, similar to Thomas or Lenders. I only ate half of mine because it wasn't worth the calories. It was getting really busy and people were piling in practically on top of us. It was very uncomfortable. The coffee was really good, so if we returned it would be only for their coffee to go. It did appear that the shop offered ice cream or gelato as well if you're looking for something for the kids or to quell the heat on (a soon impending) summer's day. A scone is crumbly, dense (in relation to a muffin) and not served microwaved. I did like the whole beans we purchased for brewing cappuccino at home. This is where they went from one star to three.
