    Finally homemade gelato close by
    Debra R.

This gelato is so good. It is creamy and I always want more. They make it right in the store. The store is immaculate. They have pints to go too.

Bottom line: Geluna Gelato has some delicious gelato and worth a stop in to find a flavor to enjoy. They state they use local milk/cream, traditional type methods and real flavors/ingredients on the website and it makes a difference it would seem as I enjoyed the chocolate chip and butter pecan flavors. Good service each visit. The Deets: I've had the opportunity to try out Geluna Gelato a couple of times recently, once after dining at Taipei 101 with coworkers and another after a slice or two at Di Fara Pizza Tavern (located in the same parking/shop area as both, beside Di Fara actually, in downtown Cary). The shop itself is bright, clean, and inviting. You form a queue next to the ordering counter where you can look at the available flavors for that day. I've had a couple of small cup size with different flavors on visits so far, one time with the chocolate chip one and then trying out the butter pecan on during the next time. Their website states "Local milk & cream. Traditional methods. Real flavors & ingredients. No dyes." You can taste the difference with it, very creamy and delicious. I do have to say my favorite was the chocolate chip flavor of my visits but the butter pecan did not disappoint. You get offered a free wafer to place in your gelato if you like, of which I did both times and glad I did so. Service was good each time with the server on my last visit being exceptionally positive when coming out to greet me and take my order. There are also pints for purchase to take home, they are on display as well when you come in. I have enjoyed my visits to Geluna Gelato so far and hope to see them again soon.

We love Geluna Gelato! Fresh and local ingredients and top notch customer service make for a fantastic outing in downtown Cary. We have been coming here since they opened and my favorites today were coffee and peanut butter chocolate. The cafe is immaculate and the serve gelato, sorbets and coffee drinks .

Gelato menu. There's a coffee menu too (not pictured).

A friend and fellow Yelper recommended Geluna Gelato to us after we all had brunch together at nearby Peck & Plume in downtown Cary. My wife and I originally intended to go to popular Andia's Ice Cream, but our friend thought Geluna was better than Andia's. Plus, Geluna was only a two-block walk north from where we were. Verdict: It was good. Downtown Cary is very walkable and Geluna is a great choice if you're in the area and looking for dessert and/or a frozen treat. The business opened in April 2022 in the same dual strip mall as Di Fara Pizza Tavern and Taipei 101. This small shopping center has transformed, bringing in new food and beverage tenants and undergoing a minor facelift since the pandemic. Parking is often tight in the dedicated lot here. In fact, I don't think we've ever parked in the lot. Instead, we've parked for free on adjacent E Cedar St, across the railroad tracks next to Town Hall, and as far south as the library parking deck. We showed up around 2pm on a Saturday and business was slow. It was just my wife and me. During our short 10-15 minute visit, I remember seeing a couple come in before us and then a couple after us, but that was it. A few teenage girls (employees) hung out in the back/kitchen in between customers. This is a small place. Inside, there are three two-tops along a banquette. Inside and outside, there's bench seating against the storefront. The interior decor and design are simple, modern, and clean-looking. During our visit, there were 12 gelato flavors available. Three were dairy-free. Pricing was $3.50 for a "baby" size (one flavor), $5.50 for a small (up to two flavors), and $8.00 for a classic (up to three flavors, cup only). My wife and I shared a classic cup which worked out to $10.66 after taxes and tip. We sampled several flavors, such as the Mango & Cream and the dairy-free Lemon Rosemary Sorbet, without feeling the pressure of a line behind us. Every flavor tasted yummy. We settled on Strawberries & Cream, Coffee, and Sweet Ginger. I thought the Sweet Ginger was unique and delicious. It reminded me of tofu pudding with sweet ginger syrup (the dim sum dish). Overall, I thought the gelato here was high-quality. It was smooth, creamy, and soft and the flavors really shined. Service was fine.

Having visited Bologna and fallen in love with the gelato there, I was happy to see Geluna Gelato open up in downtown Cary. My daughters and I have come a few times already, and we are all fans. I'm thankful that they have some vegan options since my older daughter is dairy-sensitive - and the sorbets are good too! So far, I've gotten to try the milk chocolate chip, corn and blueberry, watermelon sorbet, and mango sorbet. While they were all tasty, I enjoyed the corn and blueberry the most - it had a lot of flavor packed into a small cup, and the creaminess was definitely reminiscent of my travels to Italy. They even add a wafer on top (with sprinkles for kids, too)! Parking is easy, and the space is new and clean. There are two benches outside if you prefer to eat outdoors. We will definitely be back to try the other flavors!

Wow! A hidden gem, delicious! A first try twice in one week! The small 2 flavors was plenty! I had trouble finishing 3 (not really) probably ideal for sharing! So far, coconut, salted caramel, and dark chocolate . A prime location and walk a little bit to work off the calories! I recommend and will be back to try s of the other delicious flavors....dang soooo good! Try it, they do not disappoint! There is a wafer offered for those that can have gluten. Oh yes to the sour cherry flavor! The dark chocolate is a sorbet proba saved myself a few calories!

have to admit that I'm pretty new to the gelato game, but after my visit to Geluna Gelato I'm definitely a fan! The owners were super sweet and let me sample all the flavors and I didn't taste a single one that wasn't delicious. My personal favorites were the butter pecan and the pistachio almond gelato, which is made with big spoon roasters almond butter. Geluna Gelato also has cookie sandwich kits that come with cookie dough and a pint of gelato. The chocolate chip cookies were amazing and paired well with the butter pecan gelato! This is definitely a Triangle dessert spot that y'all need to try!

Brand new gelateria in Cary, locally owned. Check it out! TRY FIORDILATTE SORBET!! This is a true Italian classic I'm yet to see at any other ice cream place in Raleigh-Durham. The place looks and feels new. I came here with my sister after her recommendation and it didn't disappoint. The owner of the place is very nice and accommodating, he served us both. The sorbet is made in small batches DAILY right there and it's just delightful! When we were there they had 10 flavors, apparently they rotate some of them but I don't know how often, this was my first time here. We tried labne sour cherry, summer sorbet, strawberry and cream and it all was great tasting with fine texture. But what I really want to highlight is fiordilatte sorbet. "Fior di latte" is Italian for "flower of the milk", it's basically "milk" flavored, or unflavored, ice cream because there's nothing else added to it. You can taste the sweetness of the milk and that's it. Very delicate and light flavor. It's truly an Italian thing and definitely is worth trying! I haven't seen it anywhere else around. Needless to say we will be coming back for more!

We came here during the week when it was a little warm out to enjoy a sweet treat. It was in a small shopping center so we almost passed it. It was a cute little shop and the owners were helpful and we got to sample any flavor we needed. The sea salt caramel was a bit on the salty side. I got my gelato in the cone and my mom chose the cup. This place is a bit on the pricey side compared to other ice cream shops. Overall a good place

Geluna Gelato is located in Downtown Cary in-between Di Farm Pizza and Hank's Downtown Dive. We stopped in to check this spot out, it was a baby scoop of cherries & cream for me and a small scoop of coffee for my husband. Both were solid options and we added on a free waffle crisp. I can't wait to return to try their other flavors.

I'm not really crazy for gelato, but I wanted to give this new place a try and I was surprised how much I loved the gelato. I got pumpkin spice and sweet cream, and my husband got coffee which I also tried. They were all very well crafted rich flavors. The pumpkin spice was more pumpkin-y than spice-y, which I liked a lot. Their menu isn't huge, but I think they change out flavors on a regular basis. I'll definitely be back to try some other flavors, or get the coffee!

Visited this place after eating at Taipei 101. It's a nice, small welcoming spot. The workers there were super friendly and patient. They don't have a ton of flavors but they do have a good selection. I got 1/2 sea salt caramel and 1/2 sweet cream. My son got sea salt caramel. You get a free wafer with your gelato. Everything was really good. I really wish I could've purchased some wafers bc those things went perfect with the gelato. I'm a fan and will come back if I'm ever back in the area craving gelato.

I think this was an Italian bakery...and it had a truly sensational selection of pastry items, some which were quite arty and unique!! They were also somewhat pricey...but I wanted to try so many. I ended up trying this dessert called "The Fun Guy". It looked like a Mushroom, but inside, it was just heavenly bliss! (I included a pic with all the ingredients inside) Truly, it ranks as one of the best desserts I've had in a LONG time. That's saying a lot, given how I go to bakeries a LOT! And maybe 2 tables were occupied in the whole restaurant. Then again, as hard as it can be to park at North Hills, maybe that shouldn't be too stunning. That pizza oven stands just off to the side when you walk in, which is cool. And it gets to over 600 degrees, always a good sign for a crisp pizza. I asked for the pizza to be ready 1t 1 and I had a 20 minute parking space. My Sicilian pizza was already cooking in the oven when I arrived. So I was in and out within 5 minutes, so props for being prompt. The pizza was about 12 inches and it had roasted banana peppers, onions, Italian sausage, and oregano. It was cut into 8 slices, which was a little too much, it made the slices too small. But the crust was crispy, all the ingredients were flavorful and well proportioned. I also got a free round loaf of Italian bread with some oil and herbs on top. I had asked for some Parm on the side, and they added it in a little plastic cup.
