This was the second time here and it elevated my opinion of it. Very consistent and the folks have it full. There's construction so it's been hard to tell if they are open or not. Two weeks ago, the sidewalk was closed . Ordered the sizzler and it was delicious. I like that the croissant is not over toasted although next time I will ask for a lighter browned one. I was greeted promptly and my order was taken rapidly. She was courteous and efficient. I did try the green monster smoothie but it was too much banana. I appreciate them having a water jug so you can get a cup of water on your own. The California stack was big and good. Flavors blend really well. Generally good quality ingredients and friendly workers. I will say the açaí bowls are a bit pricey for what you get, and this is coming from someone who works in Manhattan. Also the puree part was a little soupy when the bowl was given to me (I prefer my açaí bowls cold+thick!). Pesto panini was very filling and I like that it comes with a bag of kettle chips. Bread was nice and crispy but not hard enough to scrape the roof of your mouth. Only downside is that tasted SUPER salty and greasy to me (and pretty soggy inside) because they put so much pesto on it - I felt pretty icky the rest of the day after eating it. Later in the day I felt really nauseous, though hopefully not because of the panini. The place seems clean, but for some reason the bathroom had a lot of fruit flies and there was a big fly buzzing around the counter where I worked. That was a little off putting :( Overall spent a little over $30 for the items pictured (plus a bag of kettle chips). Place isn't bad and the food photographs well, but not sure I would do it again. read more

After giving this place, very high reviews in the past, this rating is only for customer service. Every single time we come here, we are not acknowledged at the counter. When we come, it's typically busy, however, this morning was not, and they were three people behind the counter, none of them even looked up at us, and acknowledged that we were there. We were standing there for a few minutes before we decided to just leave and go to the other nearby coffee house. I feel customer service is very important as it really sets the tone for the stay. What a cute, clean, friendly place for breakfast, brunch or lunch in downtown Apex! I've stopped by a few times for a cup of tea while walking on Salem; they have a couple of outdoor tables that are great for people watching. On Christmas Eve, though, I stopped in to have a quiet breakfast before the craziness of the holiday hit. My avocado toast with a cup of Earl Grey tea was perfect. Coffee/tea sizes are small, medium and large. That puts them way ahead of the crazy size names at other places, and a cup is always $2, no matter what size you choose! I like to take the GoApex Route 1 bus, so I don't have to try to find parking, which can be difficult in the afternoon. Service is always friendly and helpful. Mission Market is a cute little coffee shop right on Apex's main street. While most coffee shops are crowded and you feel like you're on top of everyone in line, Mission has a nice, spread out floor plan. There were people on laptops, couches, chairs, and stools; we were all spread out enough to enjoy our coffees. We ordered a few coffees, sandwiches, and the PB&Jammin' acai bowl. Immediately, you know you're in for a treat because the bowl was so neatly presented. The PB&J bowl is "just sweet enough" and the granola, honey, and peanut butter compliment all (too many to list) the other ingredients well. While we didn't have the coffee, our friends said that the coffee was robust, dark, and "much needed." Price point, atmosphere, and value are all what you'd expect at this location. We look forward to our next Mission visit and trying something new, especially the "Conquer" smoothie. read more

Trying a place outside our Sanford Community since we had appointments in Cary. The atmosphere here is light and comfortable. There's quite a few folks laughing and conversing. We got the Breve and an Earl Grey tea with honey. (We had to ask for the honey because they forgot and when we asked the response was "typically we charge for it" so I took that as they were doing me a favor until we showed them the receipt with honey, "oh".). I'll say that Family Grounds in Sanford has me spoiled! We payed about the same for the tea and it was just a tea bag here instead of the Earl grey loose leaf. The knock-knock salmon's here toast was good. A nice portion of smoked salmon to toast ratio. To knock it out of the park, I would prefer herbed cream cheese BUT it was tasty so we'd order it again. They'd did share some kitchen secrets so I know they have a heart for sharing good food! Would recommend for the coffee, save your tea money for Family Grounds in Sanford, NC. We'd venture back when we are in the area. Give the service another shot. Think they may just have some kinks to work out. read more

The coffee is good and the food menu is small. The customer service is okay and the location downtown makes it difficult for a quick stop in. They've also added a 15% service charge so everything you get is +15%. This is dishonest, just show your customers the real price on the menu. Disappointing. I ordered the Ocean Breeze smoothie bowl. I'm not exaggerating when I say underneath the fruit on top is this Smurf Blue concoction which was inedible. But that's not the reason for the rating. I became aware of mission market in the late pandemic era, fall 2021. There were still a lot of seating outside and parking spaces were sectioned off to make room for additional seating. I used to take my son there on dates after dinner about once per week. I would get him a small vanilla steamer and I would get ginger tea and we would sit at a very high top table that made my mom heart skip a beat everytime he moved (for fear he would fall). Things have changed drastically, the street dining is closed and the frighteningly tall high tops are gone, unfortunately. We are dining inside and have switched to green monsters without pineapple, both my son and I, usually. He also sometimes likes the acai bowl or a huge cinnamon bun and won't share with anyone and smiles while he finishes it off. The shakes are fresh and healthy and service is usually very friendly. We enjoy the smoothies and the atmosphere - cute couch and coffee table (that i wish my son would stop playing with). We like it here and it does feel like "the third place" for us while we stuff our faces with yummy things. read more

Really had high hopes for this spot in Downtown Apex but unfortunately my experience wasn't good at all. One star for clean and clear ambiance. I paid $13 ( after tip it was $16) for a panini that not only took over 15 minutes to be ready but the cheese wasn't even melted. I can appreciate the amount of cheese, a bit excessive to be honest, but it should at least be melted through... Instead it was cold and sweaty in the middle - zoom in and see for yourself. The "avocado" was also a super disappointing factor. The menu offered exactly what you can read in one of my photos so I assumed sliced avocado, not avocado mush that squished out before it even got to me when they sliced the sandwich in half. A petty pickle slice to boot, no chips where chips deserve to be. All I know is that this is NOT what cheese said! read more

Got the Gouda and Ham Panini ("Lookin' Gouda"). Very simple yet delicious sandwich for a light lunch. Nice atmosphere, music playing at low volume in the background so you can have a conversation. Even a few people are using it as a study lounge it seems. I got a cold brew coffee on this visit - good and refreshing - they also have smoothies apparently. I'll have to try one of those next time. The location of this place is super cute in downtown apex. I really wanted to give a better review but we waited 35 minutes for a açaí bowl. There was one person ahead of us and that was it. Then another person came in after us and he received his order before ours. Just simple customer service skills were not even followed. Then after the awkward sitting there and staring at the staff they asked us our order again. Then once they asked us our order it took a whopping 3 minutes to make the bowl, which could of easily been done before they made the guy that walked in about 25 minutes after us and ordered an iced coffee. Now the food. The açaí bowl was good but it was not fully blended and had chunks in it. We ordered the peanut butter and jelly one. It appeared it lacked a little flavor. However my almond croissant was delicious. The people who work here are nice and friendly. I had a hazelnut latte that was watery and I didn't care for it. They kindly exchanged it for a cappuccino which was better. The vibe here at 9:30 am on a weekday is really quiet even though it's full of people. If you want to laugh and have a good chat with a friend over a cup of coffee you might get some side eye from all the people working diligently on their Macs. read more
