Smoothie King has a MASSIVE menu with Fitness Blends, Slim Blends, Wellness Blends, Take a Break Blends and Kids' Cups. If you want something light and healthy, there are so many options to try and enjoy. If you want to add to any of their smoothies there are a ton of options including fitness enhancers (muscle builder or protein), energy enhancers (energy boost or pure recharge), slim enhancers (diet down) and wellness enhancers (fiber, multi-vitamin, probiotics, immune boosters and super grains). If you aren't in the mood for a smoothie, they also offer a variety of snacks, chips and bars. My favorite smoothie is the Peanut Power Plus Chocolate which is so good that you can even have it skinny (no sugar added which saves TONS of calories) and the flavor is still AWESOME! So this location is close to my house and I come quite often (maybe too often prise wise). I'm usually satisfied with everything from customer service, them explaining ingredients and making suggestions...BUT TODAY. After discovering that an ingredient was sugar based, I decided to try the smoothie of choice without. Not a good choice because It wasn't good. Since paying close to $9, I needed it to be satisfying. I politely (with a smile) expressed my dislike to have it remade. I wish I had this girls name (at least she was not a manager) but she was way too rude by shrugging her shoulders at me at least 3 times!!! All I know is she short with blonde hair. Hopefully management sees this post. I would never want to deal with this girls rudeness again. I liked them a lot. I ordered muscle punch, lean 1, green tea tango, and pure recharge strawberry. I'll be honest--I don't come to Smoothie King to help my fitness and diet regimen. I come because I just want a fruit smoothie that's calorie packed! That being said, there are tons of options for supplements and the staff sounds very knowledgeable about the products they have and are willing to offer suggestions. My favorites so far are the Mangosteen Madness (very unique as you don't see mangosteen anywhere) and Caribbean Way. Smoothie King is about the same price as smoothies you get at other places, but made with either real fruit or better quality fruit juices. Definitely worth a visit! read more

I walked in and asked for help and the man who was standing nearby walked to the other side of the store and yelled back at me "what do you need" - he was obviously too busy to look me in the eyes and ask how he could help. Also they work with food and prepare smoothies, but do NOT wear gloves as they prepare the smoothies. My daughters love this place so anytime I can get them to drink real juice is fine by me. I actually had a coupon for the Edwards Mill location and the lady took it anyway, which I thought was super-awesome of her and makes me want to come back. Now that is customer service! I had one of the smoothies that had banana and strawberries, with no additions, and it didn't taste as fruity-fresh as I've had at home, which is why I'm giving it three stars for now. This location recently (re?)opened and is locally owned and operated. We found that out after a local coupon grand opening promotion and ordered 6 different smoothies for lunch over the phone. They were perfectly waiting for us on arrival and the owners were super helpful and accommodating. Since then, I've had 2 more smoothies. The Mangosteen Madness is tangy and delicious (had this twice). The Greentea Tango is made with a nice matcha and a choice of fruit - I chose Mango (had this one today). Boy is it good. The creamy froyo is accentuated by the powdery matcha. Very good. I just finished my 20oz smoothie for lunch and am really looking forward to going back for more. read more

I was more in the mood for freshly squeezed juices, so I ordered mangofest, which was pretty good but contained a bit too much juice, making it taste artificially sweet and not quite good in a smoothie way either. I ordered the small, only to realize there was a Friday deal for the 32 oz which would have cost me the same... but the girl behind the counter who recommended me the mangofest never mentioned a word. It's ok that she didn't, but I think the whole experience was a bit disappointing given the high ratings, and I probably wouldn't come back since I really found this smoothie to be mediocre at best. read more

I usually go to Smoothie King in Durham, but I happened to be in this area and visited this one. I ordered the Caribbean Way smoothie (with extra strawberries instead of papaya). It was ready in less than 2 minutes which was a surprise to me, because usually I have to wait longer. It was one of the best smoothies I have had in my life. I opt out of using turbinado because it makes the smoothie too sweet especially if you are not eating sugar. I think half of the amount is good if not any. I like the Immune Booster smoothie..if contains bananas, strawberries, an herbal blend of acai and other herbs. I substitute whey protein instead of soy. A small smoothie is the good size for me and it gives just the amount of recovery after a workout and usually replaces a meal. Customer service is always good here and they take their time blending the smoothies...so if you're in a rush, you want to have a little patience or grab a protein bar while you wait just in case you feel faint from your workout or lack of nutrition..haha.. read more
