Yelp 100 Challenge- #62 Service was fast and employees were friendly. I ordered two 20 oz Caribbean way smoothies and they were up in no time. The menu can be a bit overwhelming but be sure to stick to things you like. You don't have to have protein in your smoothie if you're not a fan. I would visit again. read more

I go between this location and the Parkside one. I love pre- ordering in the app and then just picking up my smoothie. They are always prompt and make delicious smoothies. Their menu offers all kinds of options whether you are looking for fruit, protein, low sugar etc. On fridays you can get a 32 oz for the price of a 20 oz. The store is always clean and they offer indoor seating. You can also buy the protein powders. read more

I make smoothies at home most days using frozen fruit and no sugar. So it was shocking to me how terrible their smoothies are if you request them with no sugar. I don't know what is wrong with their fruit, but it can't be healthy. Seriously, I threw it away it was so bad. read more

I was undecided on what smoothie I wanted so I told Melissa I liked strawberry and peanut butter. She pointed out a smoothie on the menu and was so pleasant and sure of it. And it was too good! Thanks Melissa! read more

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The barista greeted me warmly and took time to make my drink with care. The café had a light, clean scent and looked spotless. I got a vanilla cold brew, and it was smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. Even the glassware and utensils were sparkling clean. Five stars without a doubt. read more

This location offers a wide range of different smoothies, along with plenty of substitutions and choices. The menu is a little confusing as far as when it says to pick two fruits and vegetables and it's actually two total. Can be expensive if getting a smoothie larger than the 20 ounces, but such a great idea if getting a 32 ouncer on Fridays for $5. I like that they have a reward program. Take advantage of the $2 off special when signing up. Definitely makes it easier sticking to eating healthier when the smoothies are yummy. read more

I've tried a number of different Smoothie Kings in the area. This is the only location that can make a Keto Berry Champ smoothie properly. Always consistent, never watered down. Thank you! read more

Went here today because they was giving away free 12 oz smoothie for there new smoothie dark chocolate strawberry for reward members. Walked in no line and ordering was easy. The smoothie itself was just ok. The chocolate took over the smoothie more than anything but it was free so can't complain. read more

I literally walk right in. Just walking in here makes me feel better. The ingredients are fresh. The options are endless and not set which means you can add, remove or substitute anything you want. They have extra stuff you can add like protein, multi-vitamins, antioxidants, and more. Any occassion is good, I come when I'm hungry but can't decide, when I'm in a hurry, post workout or after, even when I want something to soothe my taste buds. The lady was very helpful and made a custom shake for me since I'm, well, me. She also suggested that I download the app so that anytime I come in I can scan and collect points. Which I did. Overall, founder of these is pure genius. read more

Let me start by saying, I really enjoy smoothies as a meal because they are convenient and CAN be healthy. That being said, I am usually the girl who gets the chocolate and peanut butter smoothie because I want something that tastes good and will fill me up for a few hours. Smoothie King has a MASSIVE menu with Fitness Blends, Slim Blends, Wellness Blends, Take a Break Blends and Kids' Cups. If you want something light and healthy, there are so many options to try and enjoy. If you want to add to any of their smoothies there are a ton of options including fitness enhancers (muscle builder or protein), energy enhancers (energy boost or pure recharge), slim enhancers (diet down) and wellness enhancers (fiber, multi-vitamin, probiotics, immune boosters and super grains). If you aren't in the mood for a smoothie, they also offer a variety of snacks, chips and bars. My favorite smoothie is the Peanut Power Plus Chocolate which is so good that you can even have it skinny (no sugar added which saves TONS of calories) and the flavor is still AWESOME! I have introduced a number of friends to it who also have made that their go-to smoothie. $5 Fridays are awesome because you can get a 32oz smoothie for $5! Enjoy! read more

Locally owned, great customer service and yummy smoothies. If you don't know which one to get but let them know what fruit(s) you prefer, they'll recommend one. If you're calorie/sugar conscious, get it with half or no turbinado :) read more

So this location is close to my house and I come quite often (maybe too often prise wise). I'm usually satisfied with everything from customer service, them explaining ingredients and making suggestions...BUT TODAY. After discovering that an ingredient was sugar based, I decided to try the smoothie of choice without. Not a good choice because It wasn't good. Since paying close to $9, I needed it to be satisfying. I politely (with a smile) expressed my dislike to have it remade. I wish I had this girls name (at least she was not a manager) but she was way too rude by shrugging her shoulders at me at least 3 times!!! All I know is she short with blonde hair. Hopefully management sees this post. I would never want to deal with this girls rudeness again. BTW, the remade smoothie (Peanut Power w/strawberry) is great and the other two young ladies were super nice as well! read more

Thinking back to my smoothie I had there a few weeks ago and my mouth is watering. I loved the smoothie I had with peanut butter, banana, cocoa and protein. They made it with almond milk. Wow, I want another one. The lady who worked there was super helpful when I told her it was my first visit. She helped me find the perfect smoothie. read more

I had been thinking to order from smoothie king for a while because I love smoothies eat somehow had never ordered from here. So one day I just ordered four smoothies from here to try out. I liked them a lot. I ordered muscle punch, lean 1, green tea tango, and pure recharge strawberry. Surprisingly, my favorite was lean 1 (I had thought I would like green tea tango cuz I love green tea). Green tea tango actually turned out to be too sweet for me that I didn't finish most of yet. Overall pretty decent experience and will come back and do recommend. read more

What a disappointment. Last smoothie of the day, and my son ends up with ice water cocoa instead of a Shredder Chocolate. The wait staff was clearly more interested in getting their last customer out of the store than delivering a decent product. Happy Thanksgiving. read more

Good variety of different combinations. We ordered online, got 2 32oz, when we went to pick up we got a 32 and a smaller size so we had to go back in to correct the order. read more

I'll be honest--I don't come to Smoothie King to help my fitness and diet regimen. I come because I just want a fruit smoothie that's calorie packed! That being said, there are tons of options for supplements and the staff sounds very knowledgeable about the products they have and are willing to offer suggestions. My favorites so far are the Mangosteen Madness (very unique as you don't see mangosteen anywhere) and Caribbean Way. Smoothie King is about the same price as smoothies you get at other places, but made with either real fruit or better quality fruit juices. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Absolutely love the smoothie options and add ins. Great friendly service. Call ahead for faster service. Rewards programs and coupons available. The taste of the smoothies is just perfect. Planet smoothie has got nothing on the king! Menu choices are great. read more

The customer service in this location needs help. I walked in and asked for help and the man who was standing nearby walked to the other side of the store and yelled back at me "what do you need" - he was obviously too busy to look me in the eyes and ask how he could help. Also they work with food and prepare smoothies, but do NOT wear gloves as they prepare the smoothies. I hope that they are inspected by the appropriate NC agency for food handling safety - I did not see a certificate. I will not be going back to this place.... read more

Great customer service. They remember what you ordered last time, let you know about all of the specials, and take the time to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. Great smoothies after or before you workout at Gold's Gym read more

My daughters love this place so anytime I can get them to drink real juice is fine by me. I actually had a coupon for the Edwards Mill location and the lady took it anyway, which I thought was super-awesome of her and makes me want to come back. Now that is customer service! I had one of the smoothies that had banana and strawberries, with no additions, and it didn't taste as fruity-fresh as I've had at home, which is why I'm giving it three stars for now. Know that I feel bad giving it three stars because the service was awesome and I feel like I should give it more but seeing that I can update this, I will after a I try a few more variations. read more

Great setup and awesome service. If you're looking for a treat and and quick wrap. Stop in and give them a shot. It's very good

Perfect addition to the area. The smoothies have always been delicious and the staff is super friendly. Like this one better than the one I've had to go to by work. Such a nice addition to the neighborhood! read more

This location recently (re?)opened and is locally owned and operated. We found that out after a local coupon grand opening promotion and ordered 6 different smoothies for lunch over the phone. They were perfectly waiting for us on arrival and the owners were super helpful and accommodating. Since then, I've had 2 more smoothies. The Mangosteen Madness is tangy and delicious (had this twice). The Greentea Tango is made with a nice matcha and a choice of fruit - I chose Mango (had this one today). Boy is it good. The creamy froyo is accentuated by the powdery matcha. Very good. I just finished my 20oz smoothie for lunch and am really looking forward to going back for more. read more

Absolutely in love with this place. Your smoothie options are limitless and the staff is always friendly and ready to help. Unfortunately, parking is impossible due to Zoe's and Ruckus. read more

Never had an issue with any of my orders, cool staff. The reason I didn't give 5 stars - Sugar syrup is used in many of their smoothies and this hasn't been stated in the ingredients, it will be helpful if Smoothie King mentions this on their Menu boards so that customers know what is going into the smoothie they are going to consume. read more

Great smoothies. Terrible customer service. If you're having a bad day, dont take it out on the customer. I ordered s smoothie and it was not there when I arrived. Never got the smoothie I order via the app. If you don't want to work there, find another job that makes you happy. read more

I am partial to Smoothie King because it was started in New Orleans (my home town). They have excellent smoothies with a wide variety of choices. I think the location on Glenwood is struggling so hook em up and go get your smoothie on people!! read more

I usually go to Smoothie King in Durham, but I happened to be in this area and visited this one. I ordered the Caribbean Way smoothie (with extra strawberries instead of papaya). It was ready in less than 2 minutes which was a surprise to me, because usually I have to wait longer. It was one of the best smoothies I have had in my life. Wish the prices were a little cheaper, but I guess it's worth what I get. read more

This was my first time here on a Friday night, and we made it in under the wire (10 minutes to close), so that may have been why I didn't get the best experience. I was more in the mood for freshly squeezed juices, so I ordered mangofest, which was pretty good but contained a bit too much juice, making it taste artificially sweet and not quite good in a smoothie way either. I ordered the small, only to realize there was a Friday deal for the 32 oz which would have cost me the same... but the girl behind the counter who recommended me the mangofest never mentioned a word. It's ok that she didn't, but I think the whole experience was a bit disappointing given the high ratings, and I probably wouldn't come back since I really found this smoothie to be mediocre at best. read more

I'm updating my review to 4 stars due to my last few visits have been so much better. I've made wiser decisions with my choice of smoothies. I opt out of using turbinado because it makes the smoothie too sweet especially if you are not eating sugar. I think half of the amount is good if not any. I like the Immune Booster smoothie..if contains bananas, strawberries, an herbal blend of acai and other herbs. I substitute whey protein instead of soy. A small smoothie is the good size for me and it gives just the amount of recovery after a workout and usually replaces a meal. Customer service is always good here and they take their time blending the smoothies...so if you're in a rush, you want to have a little patience or grab a protein bar while you wait just in case you feel faint from your workout or lack of nutrition..haha.. read more

It's my to-go place when I am bored of eating and suddenly turn health conscious. They have plenty of options to choose from. Amount of calories for each smoothie is mentioned on the board which makes it easier to select! The staff is very friendly enough to answer all our questions. On the whole a good healthy joint! read more
