I love this place- it's the big deal of fresh juicing. Lots of greens to choose from, fresh fruit and veggies- so fresh that sometimes they run out and don't have "back stock" to pull from- it's fresh and the best you can get. Service is sometimes very slow (it's a labor intensive, but it could be faster with more staff) And while you wait, the shop is cool with health food treats and a variety of fresh, shelf, fridge & frozen food for dinner. I personally thought this health food store was a bit overrated. Finding a health food store was one of my major priorities when visiting the Raleigh area. Staff here was friendly and there was ample amount of parking. The prices are absolutely ridiculous compared to the health food stores that I normally go too. In some areas of the store, I do feel like the store is lacking food choices. I will say there's great non alcoholic drinks featured here as well an an impressive selection of stuff on sale in the clearance rack in the back. Harmony Farms is a Natural goods store. I went for some organic juice and vitamins. The juice was just what I needed. The store has a large selection of all-natural and locally sourced items. This used to be one of our absolute favorites store in Raleigh. A ton of clean, healthy foods (meat, milk, eggs, etc) to any herb or supplement or bulk herb you could need. New ownership is running it into the ground. Prices have nearly doubled on so many things. They're running nearly double Whole Foods prices. I loved supporting local but this is untenable, and they decimated their loyalty program. Unfortunately my family and I are pretty much done shopping here. read more

From the outside it looks just like any other store in the strip - even the Walgreens. But once inside, you're popped into that dimension. You know which one I'm talking about. That gritty farmer's market dimension. The grungy one where poorly lit co-ops live. Sometimes you can still smell the dirt from the roots freshly snatched from a grower's soil in this rip through spacetime. But Harmony Farms efforts to mask it with incense. Still...an odor that fits. I'm no genius when it comes to shops like this. In fact, I try to stay back from them because if I lean over too far, I'll get something gluten-free on my shirt or find myself in a yoga pose or end up listening to some pretentious vegan brag to me about how she doesn't have a television. No, I get just close enough to pick up a few supplements, find something healthy to eat, and grab up liquid vegetables from the juice bar. That's all I need. So yeah, while I've frequented places like this, I'm no expert, but they are assuredly doing it right. That much I do know. And boy are they stacked with goods. This place has everything. If I were writing their commercial, my tag line would be: "If we don't have it, you don't need it!" Aisles and aisles of health junkie wares. Oats over here, raw veggies over there; pills down this'a way, frozen Ezekiel bread up that'a way. Seaweed, soy milk, protein bars, assorted fruits, bottled water - and my personal favorite: the Juice Bar. I asked for the greenest juice they had. She concocted for me the Very Veggie in an 8oz plastic cup. It took less than 5 minutes to make. I spent that five sitting at the little table by the counter looking through what might have been/should be a free magazine about nutrition. I took my order and receipt up front to pay. It was a painful 8 dollars, but I ended up paying $10 because I got bamboozled by marketing and bought some volcano water. I simply had to find out what water from a volcano tasted like. And how do you get water out of a volcano??? The juice reflected everything the store itself seems to stand for. There was nothing pretty about this cupped fluid at first. Unlike brands such as Evolution Fresh and Humdinger (which both make great drinks), HF's fresh juices aren't even trying to look pretty, let alone green until you give them a good stir or shake. Apparently made with Organic Cucumber, Organic Celery, Organic Carrot, Organic Bell Pepper, Organic Tomato, Organic Lemon, Organic Kale and a splash of Cyclone Cider(?), I can see why it didn't look appealing at first, but it tasted good. It's a smoothie bar/health food store/pharmacy/wellness center. Yes, all of that is there. I stopped in one day just for a couple essential oils and ended spending almost an hour walking each aisle. It was like entering a physical Google search for "How to be Healthy". It's a limb but I'd still go out on one and say, if they don't have it, you probably don't need it. Not only did I find what I needed, I found other items I've been considering getting too. The selling point here is that everything is conveniently located under one roof. Some items were priced well but most were a little overpriced (again, likely because of the convenience factor of not having to wait for shipped items). Didn't get a chance to try out the smoothie yet but the next time I pop in for something I'll grab one since all the reviews seem to be great. read more

In any case, we found what we needed and the cashier recommended we try the juice bar some time. So on another day, ​we came by SPECIFICALLY to try the juice bar - it was some green smoothie that was slightly sweet but every ingredient is listed for each smoothie so there are no content surprises! It was amazing, though, so it was worth the special trip. Since it is a little pricier than other stores (natural food places tend to be), I don't get there that often. It's small but well organized. Don't expect to get all your grocery shopping done here, but you can find the basics of "earthy crunchy" food items and supplements. Think of a "small scale version of Whole Foods and GNC combined." There is a very small refrigerated and frozen section as well. In the back of the store you'll find a smoothie/ juice bar. I ordered a juice that had ginger listed as an ingredient but instead of juicing actual ginger (which I've done at home), they added drops of some kind of ginger concentrate or extract. I should have asked. While I tasted the ginger quite well, I found it odd that this kind of store wouldn't just use fresh ginger. read more

I drove to Harmony Farms one day from Fayetteville (there are no good health food stores here) and was excited when I saw the very large selection of items. That excitement faded after I spent 50 minutes there and NO ONE spoke to me. That's right - I was there almost an hour and not a single store employee spoke to me. Additionally, I found them to be overpriced. I bought a bunch of bulk spices and that ended up costing me just over $50 - at my old HFS, that would have cost me $25, tops. Every time I return to my homeland of Raleigh NC, I make it a point to go by this small and conscious health-food store to pick up an organic smoothie and green juice and peruse their awesome supplement section. They have cleansing formulas and high-vibe products here that I haven't seen elsewhere. Sure, Whole Foods is like 4 times the size of this place, and it shows in the produce department, but WF doesn't touch the care and attention you receive here. Very homely. When I went there a week ago, an owner, ND, specifically helped me target some key supplements to help me with some gum issues to fix the decline to periodontal surgery prescribed by my dentist. All I had to do was ask. Unfortunately, during this Pandemic, they seem very lax about their masking. It is a small store and many employees only wear masks when you ask them a question. I guess I can put Earth Fare in there too but that's way out of my way. Anyway, Harmony Farms is a perfect little shop with a wide selection of dry foods that one may find in the store I have mentioned. They provide a lot of local items which I am a fan of! Their downside is the price. They are usually the most expensive out of the bunch, this why I only go here when I need to. The great rating is for their selection and more importantly their customer service. The staff has always been friendly each time I go in. I'm sure they would get more recognition if people knew about the place, it's just difficult to see when it's tucked into a shopping center distracted by chain convenient stores and a whole lot of traffic. read more

Had someone speak to us as soon as we walked in, and were asked if we needed help multiple times while in the store. Staff is very friendly. The place is full of weird food but if you have Celiac's it's also full of gluten free options that go beyond the regular grocers and I would say at a better price. For example, I struggled to find quinoa "oat"meal in a popular supermarket, but found at least 5 flavors here for $2 cheaper. Staples like bread seem to be similarly priced but also more options. If you might be slightly self-conscious about the gluten free thing, you will also probably feel normal shopping here. And, if nothing else, you can go to the food lion next door for non-special, non organic food items after your visit to get the rest of your grocery list. read more
