Absolutely enjoy visiting Sprouts whenever I get a chance but this store has nearly everything I need and far more superior options than visiting a health food store. Staff here was absolutely friendly! I got a $9.99 rotisserie chicken for $1.89 of all things! Clean store with great energy drinks, check out lines move really quick too and it's fairly easy to find parking as well. Sprouts is always a pleasure to visit! I love how fresh and organized everything is, and the store was neat and clean as always. One of my favorite things about shopping here is discovering new fruits--today I picked up a lemon drop melon I've never tried before, and some cherries that are unbelievably sweet! The only downside was they were out of Saratoga water, which was the main reason for my visit, but everything else made up for it. Shoutout to my cashier--so cheerful and full of good vibes! I wanted to love Sprouts truly. It is such a cute little store and its nice from the outside. Bakery was a hit and miss and deli the only good thing about it was most of the staff was females, go girl power. The meat was mostly gone which is a shame since I love cooking meat of all sorts especially this time of the year when it gets warmer. I loved what produce I could find. Dream the manager was amazing. She told me all about her produce finds, the way she cooks them and the way she tries to eat mostly vegan food. She even gave me many good hints of where to eat in the future. Grocery and clearance were just okay. The prices were too high for the quality of the store. The store is beautiful but feels too outdated and too cluttered. It is hard to walk through the store without hitting into another display or cart. Management should investigate this. The cashiers were mostly zombies, they looked drained and shut down, not something I would ever want to see as a customer or a fellow employee. As someone who believes in good vibes, good food and good music. The energy of this environment was just DEAD...Nothing about this place was truly wowing me and no one looked happy. Only one young man who was scanning prices even asked me if I was okay. His name was Nicholas, I think. We talked about the coupons, clearance, and some story he was writing, and he even complimented my outfit, which was nice. The only thing I liked other than the two employees, Nicholas and dream was the fact that the black community was well represented in the staffing. I have shopped at different Sprouts on the west coast and other cities as well. First off I love sprouts I have been going since 2014 and this location since 2019. There are some good things and some bad things about this location. Good: Great Deli, vitamins, meat suggestions, and their sushi Wednesday are amazing. The bad: The dairy has expired many times, and the produce hasn't looked good in almost a year. I heard they changed managers, but produce shouldn't rot in less than two days. The cashiers are always on their phones and never look happy at all. When I was young, I couldn't wait to get to work because I loved my job. If they didn't, maybe they should find a different line of work. I know management cannot fix this but the music is quite horrid now. It used to be fun to listen to and since I love 80s music it was nice to listen to it, now I don't even know what to call it, it's either too loud or I don't understand the lyrics. I would like to mention one person who always makes my experience worthwhile whenever I go, however. Is the young man who does the samples and the announcements, Nicholas. I look for him every time I go. He makes the best milkshakes and since I cannot eat dairy or gluten he always has options for me and my children. I have been going since 2019 and have seen many sample people and to be honest, I look forward to his announcements whenever I am in there since they are full of energy and passion, that's rare to find. This is my wannabe Whole Foods, which is further away. But I want to stress the wannabe. Today I went there for bromelain and quercetin, which were both recommended to me by my doctor. These are TYPICAL. So typical in fact that both Whole Foods and Vitamin Shoppe have them in their in-store brands. The woman in the supplements department who "helped" me (this is strong language) had no clue whatsoever what bromelain and quercetin were. Are. Let me preface this by saying BOTH of these are listed on the Sprouts website. She took me to the berberine section for bromelain. No clue. And then she got angry with me and said, "I order everything here." And stomped off. No clue. Never heard of them. There used to be a VERY knowledgeable man working in supplements. I guess he's gone. He was great‍ Also the wine section is pretty horrific and over-priced. And they should have 1% lactose free milk. Even Harris Teeter has that. read more

I finally stopped by Sprouts Farmers Market. It really gives off the vibe of a farmer's market inside a grocery store but without vendors. It's so clean and not so overwhelming. The grocery store is straight to the point and well-organized. I was quite impressed with the meat section, great variety with lots of different cuts to choose from. They even have marinated chicken wings. The prices are fair, compared to other grocery stores in the area. Too bad I'm a bit far from Sprouts but hope to be closer someday. Drove up here from Cary to use a gift card from my well meaning father, despite me constantly telling him that there's no Sprouts in my town. Anyway, I used to shop exclusively at Sprouts when I lived in Florida and was expecting the same level of service at this store; I was sorely disappointed. Over half the sale items I had on my list were out of stock and the replacement items were significantly more expensive. I felt like the prices overall were very high. I'm used to the employees asking if I need help when I'm standing next to them looking at the shelves for a long time, but I had to go out of my way to ask for help from some employees who were talking and laughing loudly literally right next to me. Once I asked for help, they were great, but it would've been nice to offer. I got some seafood and the guy who helped me left a lot to be desired. He was in a bad mood and looked at me then worked on other things then looked back at me before grabbing my fish from the case. I asked if he could please remove the skin from my fish and he promptly said no, I can't do that. This is something I ask every fishmonger/butcher because it removes so much of that fishy flavor when you cook it, and they've always been quick to say yes. I later heard him apologizing to another customer in line in front of me, so I'm sure he was just having a bad day but, unfortunately, coupled with the last of stock for the items I needed and the long drive, I can't say I'll return. read more

To be Keto, Sprouts is one of my favorite grocery stores minus the prices but I digress. We don't have Sprouts in Columbia so I had to come while I was visiting because I was looking for something specific. The milk chocolate honey comb sponge candy! I looked everywhere for it and finally found it. I almost fainted when I saw it was $11 so tbh only get it if you really love chocolate and got it like that. The store is always clean, I love their keto options and healthy alternatives, and their staff is so nice. Another thing that made me gasp is their grocery bags are 10 cents. Like why yall? Yall prices are already expensive enough. But anyways, went home to try the candy and it is SWEET. I loved the crunch of the honeycomb sponge, it was airy and light. It did have that honeycomb taste when I tried it by itself but I think it paired perfectly with the milk chocolate coating. They are huge pieces so I could only eat one but for a sweet treat, it was delectable. I'm a chocolate girlie so this hit the spot, even my daughter liked it and she's super picky. read more

I've shopped at Sprouts in the Midwest, the mid-Atlantic, and the Triangle, and they're consistently clean, well laid out and affordable. The produce section takes up at least a fourth of the store, and everything I saw and bought today was gorgeous and fresh. Watch for weekly sales on the seafood! I got 13-15 count shrimp for $7.99/lb, and I've noticed that they have prices like that every few months. With the exception of the produce, the sections are smaller than you'd find at larger grocery stores, so I wouldn't be able to do all of my shopping here, but I go for the vegetables! read more

The customer service was wonderful. Sprouts has the best staff, but it's always wonderful. I had never been to a sprouts before, but since I moved close to one, I decided to try it out. Of course some things are a little pricey but their produce is out of this world! I love going here for that and they have a great selection of teas. I like that they offer if you would like bags or not and the staff is very helpful. They also have a lot of things that are hard to find in other stores, which I appreciate. They sell my favorite brand of non alcoholic wine, which has been super hard to find I store. I didn't know what to expect so I went inside with an open mind and I must say Sprouts won my business at the hot bar! They have so many awesome healthy options at the hot bar that you don't find at the some of the competitors. The price of the goods was comparable to Harris Teeter or almost Whole Foods. Its not as cheap as a Walmart/Foodlion but then again I can totally see that you are getting a better quality food. There is so many healthy options along the walls. Be sure to make your way around the place and see the amazing brands and foods that they have available. Nice staff and lots of great parking. read more

We need a Sprouts market in Apex or Cary! This one is kind of far away but worth the drive. The fruits and veggies are fresh and reasonably priced. Their wellness department is good too. Brand spankin new and just opened today! There was a good crowd for the early morning opening. Super welcoming, friendly and helpful employees! I love the produce department the best. Everything looks so fresh and the prices are really good. The fresh meat looks very good too and there's some great deals to be had. Lots of dairy and frozen food choices, not to mention bulk foods, prepared salads, entrees, made to order sandwiches, sushi, bakery, and everything up and down the packaged food aisles. This is a regular in my grocery store rotation, because the produce is alway on point and reasonably priced. Watch out for deals, because they're usually pretty good. Sprouts branded stuff is always inexpensive, but where you need to watch out is...just about everything else. That's where it gets pricey. As far as Covid stuff goes, they have plenty of hand sanitizer around the store, but you may want to be mindful of wiping cart surfaces. read more

Sprouts carries most items that you're probably looking for, from vegetables to meat to seafood. However, for a big supermarket like this, they are missing some breakfast foods such as hot pockets and hash browns. I'm also not seeing sushi grade fish which is a bummer. Even so, I just love how friendly their employees are that I can't give less than a 5 star. I stared at the meat aisle for a little too long and a worker near me asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I told him I was looking for a much smaller portion of the ground pork they had and he offered to divide it for me. I didn't take him up on the offer to save him the hassle, but how sweet is that! This store looks like a melding of a Farmer's Market, Trader Joe's, and a boutique specialty food store. High ceilings, shelving that is just above eye level, so that you can see much of the store, rather than feeling closed in when walking down the aisles. They had a pretty good range of items available, with several choices in many areas. We purchased some peaches, a bag of fresh cherries, and a few other items, since we were in the neighborhood. None of the fruit was any good at all. The peaches were tasteless, even though they felt ripe; the cherries were crunchy, even though they were mostly dark red. This is not the kind of produce you should be getting in late summer from a "healthy foods" store. read more

I shop here every other weekend or so when I don't need a lot of items. I think it's a bit pricey, so I prefer to knock out my large grocery lists elsewhere. Produce is one of the areas that I do think is decently priced. You can usually find deals similar to other local grocery stores. They have some deli food that's really good! I had one of the paninis and it was inexpensive and so tasty! They have a large bulk section where you can measure our your own grains, nuts, candies, etc. They also have a large section of personal items with a lot of organic, natural items that you probably can't get in most local stores. It's a nice, clean store, and is on the smaller side compared to most other grocery stores in the area. read more

I've shopped here since they opened and have generally been satisfied, if not entirely happy. They carry some vegan/vegetarian products not readily available elsewhere. Initially I was also very happy with the produce department, but began to notice it was sometimes not of very good quality. Another problem is that the cash registers often do not reflect sale prices. The last straw was this past Saturday, I went there and 2 debit cards were declined and finally a credit card went through. Since this was weird, I checked the accounts online and found that all 3 accounts had been charged. I immediately called the store and a manager basically told me that was my problem and I needed to contact the banks involved the following week. No "I'm sorry this happened" or anything. A verbal shrug and a "not my problem" attitude. Needless to say I will not be shopping there much in the future and if I do, I will be paying with cash. read more

I was very excited to hear that Sprouts was opening a Durham location. I've visited the one in Smyrna, Georgia quite a bit and really liked it. People have told me that Sprouts is sort of like Trader Joe's and sort of like Whole Foods, and I agree. It has a body section that rivals Whole Foods, for starters. You can browse a huge selection of "natural" brands of shampoo, lotion, body wash, vitamins, essential oils, etc. It reminds me of Trader Joe's in terms of the casual atmosphere, and affordable store brand, "Sprouts," products. They also have bulk bins like Whole Foods, although you're more likely to find white chocolate caramel peanut clusters than quinoa in these bins. They also have a huge deli counter and area where you can order food to eat now, and picnic tables out front. I've never seen a store with such an amazing selection of kombucha! While I wouldn't do my regular grocery shopping here I would definitely stop by to grab a few items, or to just treat myself (ex: on my second visit this week I got ranch flavored corn nuts and essential oils haha). read more

Like a nice health food store that grew up to be a grocery store. It's very similar to Earth Fare. Absolutely the best produce dept you can find, and a wonderful selection of plant based foods, milks, and yogurts, which I love, and lots of organic items. It's my go to now that I'm plant based. It's easy to find everything I want. I love this store. I'm lucky to have 2 close by here in Morrisville, NC, although I will admit to using Instacart, which I started using for Sprouts 2 years ago in Augusta, GA. It comes in handy for a travel nurse. Only 1 downside, I have to pay 10 cents each for store bags. That really ticks me off, but I will say they are larger and much thicker, and sturdier, than regular plastic grocery bags, so I guess it's worth it, and of course you can take them back and reuse them. read more

I moved to Durham in August 2019 and it took me until November to find Sprouts. I have FINALLY found MY Store!!! Yea!! I LOVE Sprouts...let me count the ways....First, the atmosphere is SO much better than the Whole Foods in Durham. Open, clean, uncluttered...so different, yet they offer many of the same items. There is another BIG difference...the prices. Compare the items you usually buy...you will see that every single item is cheaper than Whole Foods! Many are cheaper and better prices than the multiple Harris Teeters I have tried as well! I love the bulk items and bulk spices. To be able to just get what you need is a plus for me. I have been in this store several times and never had to wait in line and always have encountered very friendly staff. Clean, good assortments of fresh produce at amazing prices, a huge meat department, cheeses galore, seafood you wont find anywhere else, milk prices cheaper than anywhere I have been....these are the reasons Sprouts is MY Store!!! We like the concept -- a grocery story focused around produce. They're not as expensive as Whole foods, and like Aldi or Trader Joe's the selection of canned and boxed items can be limited. Good selection of vegetables, fruit and bulk foods. Their meat and seafood also seem to be of high quality. If you get on their email list and/or download the app, you also get a heads up on sales. In addition to the weekly specials, they also have weekend 72-hour deals plus occasional one-day specials (great for things like 25% off bulk items on one day). They also have a decent selection of vitamin and nutrition items. Bonus points for a two-sided receipt that saves paper, but check it because sometimes things can get wrung up wrong. Other than our local Durham farmers markets, this is our next best choice for good produce. read more

The two lines were each at least 10 people deep each, and nobody else came up to help or called for help. I saw at LEAST 5 people working on the floor all very aware Bc I stared them down that the lines were ridiculous and help was obvi needed. And nothing! C'mon...that's pretty pathetic and annoying to watch nobody take any action. Beware! read more

I also love that they will soon start charging the customers for single-use plastic bags. Keeping plastic out of the environment is a big goal for me. We like our SFM. I didn't say love we go frequently because of convenience. There are NEVER anti-bac wipes for the carts. We go about weekly since their opening and I can say I've only found the wipe container filled a handful of times. This REALLY annoys me Produce is GREAT here. On first blush, Ima gonna give Sprouts 4 stars (by first blush I mean one visit and no previous visits to a Sprouts). It's not Whole Foods in terms of fancy food items such as produce, meats, seafood, wine and beer but they don't have the whole paycheck, I mean Whole Foods prices either. It's probably more comparable to Fresh Market, but has a more open, brought feel that FM. I kind of got an indoor farmers market vibe here. Lemme tell you if gluten-free is your thing then this is your place as I saw many GF items. I also saw cauliflower pizza which isn't for me but if that floats your boat then definitely give Sprouts a visit! read more

Oh gosh, I really was excited about Sprouts opening up in Durham. It is my friend's favorite grocer from when she lived in Arizona, and she absolutely raved about it. My first time in the new Durham location was just okay though, and I'm not sure if I will go back. I guess it didn't live up to the hype for me. The store has plenty of parking to rival Whole Foods and Trader Joe's lack thereof. We could barely get through the door without an employee asking if we needed any help, but were otherwise ignored. The checkout cashier and bagger were not friendly like the folks at Trader Joe's tend to be. The produce section was a bit of an odd configuration, and you have to wind your way past the bulk bins to access it. A lot of the bulk bin items were priced very high in my opinion. For example, a small clam shell of dried veggie chips was 7.99 when you could buy a whole bag that is similar for way cheaper. For being a new store, I expected awesome, super fresh produce. Better variety compared to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, and more options for organic. However, a lot of the produce was past its prime like moldy strawberries and green beans. The freezer and cold case sections are absolutely tiny, so not the same great variety as Trader Joe's. There was a bit of cluster over by the milk section, and the prices for organic milk was way high. I'd also like to see more options for prepared foods. They were sold out of guacamole when I went and it was pretty early in the day. The bakery section is definitely better than Trader Joe's, but Whole Foods has more options for special events. I was surprised by the high prices considering that it's a new store and should be trying to attract customers. None of the sales were any better than ones that I've seen at Whole Foods or Harris Teeter. Add that into the merchandise options and the limited customer service. All in all, I can't say that Sprouts will replace my typical grocery shopping options. read more
