Horchata: So good, the horchata essence hit me as soon as I took a bite. Very cinnamony, very milky & creamy. 2. Passionfruit: I'm a sucker for anything passionfruit. The curd-like filling did not taste artificial at all. 3. Almond cardamom: Topped with a real almond, but more cardamom forward, reminded me of chai. 4. Hazelnut sassy monkey: Distinguished more coffee than banana, but it was there. Also liked the layer of crunch. 5. Raspberry lychee: The raspberry jam was strong and tasty, the floral essence from lychee was subtle. 6. Sesame matcha: Surprisingly citrusy? I did taste some bitterness from the matcha and appreciated the earthy sesame crust. 7. Ube: Sadly did not detect much ube flavor. 8. Earl grey lavender: Definitely the prettiest, but tasted like what I imagine soap would taste like. In terms of whether the chocolate is worth the price: I've never had this experience of trying such diverse and interesting chocolate flavors before so it was for me. The apple cider vinegar I purchased was clearly labeled $8.19, but I was charged $11.89 at the register -- $3.70 more than the displayed price. I politely brought the discrepancy to the associate's attention. He told me that management was not there and that he could refund the purchase, but he could not adjust the price to the price displayed on the shelf. Because I actually needed the item at that moment and did not have a practical alternative nearby, I paid the higher price. What disappointed me most was how the situation was handled. Pricing mistakes can happen. But when a customer points out a clear discrepancy, I would expect the business to acknowledge it and make a reasonable effort to correct it -- not simply give the customer the choice of paying the higher price or leaving without the product. To be clear, my concern is not the $3.70 itself or whether I could afford the item. It is the principle. If an item is displayed at $8.19, a customer should not discover at checkout that they are actually being charged $11.89. Customers deserve to make purchasing decisions based on accurate pricing. What made this especially frustrating is that this is a downtown neighborhood market serving an area with limited walkable grocery options. When customers rely on a convenient neighborhood store, accurate and transparent pricing matters even more. Being charged substantially more at the register than the displayed price -- and then being told the only option was a refund rather than correcting the discrepancy -- left me feeling taken advantage of as a customer. I understand that small businesses have expenses and that downtown pricing may be higher than larger grocery stores. That is the business's choice. Charge whatever price you choose -- just clearly display that price so customers can decide whether they want to pay it. They have a large patio with outdoor seating that has a good amount of shade, so you won't roast in the summer sun. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of iced coffee with a friend. One quick note: finding parking in this area can be a little difficult and you may have to walk a little bit from where you park to the cafe.
