My Caribbean wrap was 10/10. Rice, beans, pineapple salsa with Caribbean spiced chicken. Would definitely order again. Perfect amount of heat and the flavor was spot on. Came with one side your choice of whole fruit or chips. With. Drink, we got out of there for $22. Not bad for Raleigh area. 4 stars for two reasons: it wouldn't hurt to smile and welcome your guests and 2) my wrap wasn't cut through the bottom. The service was horrible. I got a plant based quesadilla and instead got a regular chicken quesadilla. When I asked the staff about the chicken in my quesadilla I was newly informed that they no longer "did that." When I asked to get plant based while ordering the cashier BRINK didn't inform me they no longer carried it despite it still being on their menu and also allowed me to order it. However, I will not be returning for myself and will recommend my friend find another location to visit. 1) Upon entering the store, you see a worker talking to someone with what seemed like a personal conversation. No greeting. No nothing. I walked around to the ordering station to be greeted by another worker that looked like they were already busy. I could see why they couldn't greet you as soon as you walked in, however, the other could have given a smile or something as a welcoming gesture. 2) This location was NOT clean. I had never visited a Tropical Smoothie Cafe before this but I must say I love their menu. It is very comprehensive and you can pretty much get any kind of smoothie you want! This location is small and in a shopping center. The staff was not super nice and I didn't feel extremely welcome, despite being the only person in the store. I was feeling sick so I got an Island Green smoothie with a few boosters. It was really tasty considering how much spinach and kale was it it. The prices, though, are high. You will probably have a better experience supporting a local business over getting a corporate smoothie here. That being said, just like McDonald's this place appears to offer consistency. My chicken PESTO flatbread had 0 pesto on it, but instead had some orange sauce that tasted like honey mustard. I have no idea what it was. I also ordered a mixed berry greek yogurt with no almonds, but almonds were still chucked on top of it. I went and asked them to remake it and I got it back with peanut butter inside of it. I was going to Tropical Smoothie 3-4 times a week and last month I decided to try their sandwiches. The first one was really good so I went back on August 23rd. and ordered a smoothie and a sandwich only to see all the customers in line behind me getting their food and I am left sitting there. I finally spoke up and the girl went over to the sandwich prep area and my ticket had gotten forgotten. They threw a sandwich together and handed it to me ignoring my order. I was shocked when I got home to see that what I had was not even close to what I ordered. I went on their website and filled out a feedback to the store and quickly received a computer generated email saying they would get back to me soon. Nobody in Management felt it was necessary to contact me about my experience. I was shocked that after my feedback they did not even follow up with me. We were so excited to see a smoothie place going in this shopping center! We finally were able to step in and give it a try, and we were pleasantly surprised! The cafe itself is very clean, and everything looks new and bright. The colors are very tropical too: bright orange and a nice ocean blue. There are some wooden benches and a wooden wall too. It does have a somewhat beachy feel inside. The service was polite and friendly. The young woman who took our order made sure to read it back to us to make sure everything was correct. They brought our drinks out to us when they were ready and the food came shortly thereafter. (I found this table service a nice bonus...I'm used to Jamba Juice places where someone just shouts your name and everyone is standing around waiting.) Another bonus: there are several seating options inside and outside! There are a variety of smoothies, and some special seasonal offerings too. I tried the acai smoothie and it did taste fresh and sweet. My husband had an option that was green that he really enjoyed because it wasn't particularly sweet! There are sandwiches, wraps, tacos and other quick bites here. It's nice that there are some warm food options and not just cold ones. There is also a kid food menu and a few kid-sized smoothies. Overall, our first experience here was a good one. I can definitely see us returning and trying some other smoothies and food. Was cool, thick, and fruity. The "tropical" decor was warm and inviting, and there's plenty more than tropical smoothies (e.g. there's a PB and chocolate one as well as sandwiches). We love Tropical Smoothie. I have been a fan for over 10 years. The first time I ever tried it was when I lived in Chicago. When we found it there was one in Cary we had to go! The difference in this one compared to the one in my hometown is that it is a lot more "trendy". This may be how they are all designed now, but I love the layout compared to the one that I have been too. Very friendly staff and FAST service. We always go with the Health Nut and since we don't get it a lot it is hard to stray from our favorite. It is definitely worth the 30 min drive. Yay! A new healthy place to grab lunch near my workplace! Tropical Smoothie Cafe offers sandwiches, wraps, salads, and of course...SMOOTHIES! There are such great options available that everyone is sure to find something they like. I've tried their tacos and they're all GREAT! My favorite so far is the Cilantro Lime Fish. A couple of my coworkers got the Korean BBQ tacos and said it was awesome. Also, they offer breakfast wraps all day long. I got their Caribbean C-burst smoothie and that was great...not too sweet. But, they did mention that they can make their smoothies without sugar if you prefer. The interior is very nice and modern looking. We were able to call our order ahead (as we had 6 people ordering at the office) and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. We'll definitely be coming back. read more

Tropical smoothie café is my #1 go to location wherever I travel and even when I am local to home. Unfortunately I chose the Cary location today (home-ish), where I was disappointed that the young man making my smoothie didn't see a need to actually fill my cup. This happens occasionally and while it is not really a big deal at all, I'm beginning to get annoyed by it because it is happening more often. Some locations do a very good job and appropriately fill it up. I've even had some locations throw the overflow from the blender into a smaller cup for me to take along as extra. For almost 6 dollars a smoothie, one might think it wouldn't t hurt them to put the extra 2 ounces in the cup. Jus' sayin'! I simply like to believe I receive a decent value from the establishment I choose to give my money. The only other comment I will make is a total sidebar that I hope the local manager will read.
