9 of us decided to go and and get some breakfast at the Morrisville location. It was not very crowded when we went and our server was nice enough to combine two tables to let all of us sit together. We ordered several mocktails and coffee and everything was so yummy. I ordered the skinny omelette with fruits. My family ordered, buttermilk pancake, waffles. My kid ordered gumbo with chicken and waffle. My partner ordered the bourbon street pancake. We also ordered Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes and The Supreme Omelette The ambience was nice and cozy and we really had a lot of fun , restaurant was not very quiet and full with the family conversations, all in all it was a very delicious yummy food and a nice cozy place for all of us to sit and enjoy. A easy no-fuss go to spot for brunch. The parking is plentiful. There is minimum wait times and crowds. The staff is pleasant and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and well lit. The service is fast, the food is fresh and good. I went with a blackberry mule as a cocktail and this was delicious. I enjoyed the power bowl which has scrambled eggs mixed with country ham, onions and tomatoes over Cheddar Jack cheese grits. It came with country sausage gravy but I asked for that on the side. The 30 minute wait was a bit long, but it was a Sunday afternoon. We went browsing in the shopping center nearby while waiting for our text to let us know our table was ready. My chicken and waffles were good, particularly the mouth-watering waffles!!! Chicken was good but Man, look! My daughter said her Cookie Dough Waffle was "mid" but she is a tween who is fairly hard to please and she ate a considerable amount of it. LOL The waitress was nice. The place was packed. Came here on a Saturday morning for brunch with friends and we were seated right away. The service was just ok. Our waitress was inattentive, and after taking our orders I didn't not see her again until she brought the checks. Although the restaurant wasn't completely full, most of the tables were occupied and it was pretty loud inside. I ordered the traditional day starter with poached eggs, chicken sausage, and potatoes. The eggs were nicely cooked and the potatoes were well seasoned. No complaints about the meal itself, but I do think the service and prices could be improved. For our last breakfast in NC my daughter and I wanted to go big or go home, so we stopped in at Another Broken Egg and all I can say is...YUM! By the time we left, though, there was a big crowd lining up for their brunch. We started off with coffee and then ordered our breakfasts. I ordered shrimp 'n grits and my daughter ordered crabcake benedict. We also ordered a side of their biscuit beignets. The food was all phenomenal. The shrimp 'n grits was perfectly seasoned, and included not only plenty of shrimp but lots of big hunks of andouille sausage too. The grits were gooey, ooey, and cheesy. I've had grits back home in the PNW before and I just have to say, they aren't anything like the ones I enjoyed here. My daughter also enjoyed her benedict, though was not a big fan of her side of grits (I suppose this is mostly because of her sheltered PNW upbringing)! We loved the biscuit beignets, which were served with a side of tasty homemade-tasting marmalade. Initially our beignet order was forgotten, but as soon as our server realized this she quickly brought out a steaming hot order for us to enjoy. Speaking of our server, in general the service here was phenomenal! Not only was our server friendly and attentive, but the manager stopped by a couple of times to check on us. That's always something I appreciate and I liked that he took the time to truly care for how our experience was going. This would be a 5-star experience for me except I felt their prices were pretty high. Especially for mimosas and bloody marys - I would have loved to enjoy one, but they were almost the same price as my entree! Stopped for a quick bite for breakfast the other day. Ate at the bar. My waitress was super friendly and very attentive. The music playing was from the 80's which I loved. It wasn't super busy which was nice. I had the chilaquiles with the fried potatoes and the lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes. The chilaquiles was so full of flavor. Definitely Recommend. I'm surprised this place has only 3.5 star rating. I wasn't sure to expect mostly because I am not an egg person and I went there wanting a traditional breakfast, but it was their coffee choices that lured me in. When I arrived I see on the door they were short staffed and wait time could be longer. I went in anyway because wait time didn't matter to me. When I got inside I was told it would be a long wait but I could sit at the bar to order if I wanted. I went to the bar. The bartender was attentive and promptly took care of me by handing me a menu and asked if I wanted coffee. I requested a glass of water and looked at the menu. I ordered the traditional breakfast with a cafe amore. The coffee was excellent. You can't go wrong with bourbon in my book. And, for a traditional breakfast I was pleasantly surprised it was not greasy!! I was able to butter my own English muffins and the potatoes were exceptionally good. That is coming from someone who would toss their potatoes in the garbage at any meal as a kid if I thought I could. The bartender checked on me a few times but otherwise let me eat and read in peace. He got tipped big for that reason! All in all is go back. I'm not a huge meal eater but I ate all but half of the scrambled eggs which is saying a lot, this place needs more than 3.5 stars. I could have checked the reviews before coming to this location. I recently visited the Morrisville location and thought it was so good! The food was good, the service was great. I was excited to bring my husband and as he loves a good breakfast spot. We ended up having to come here because it was closer for us that day. It was dead inside, yet service was painfully slow. Our table was also very dirty and we noticed other tables were dirty too. Bathrooms weren't better and you can tell the toilets haven't been properly cleaned in a long time. Sure, it happens, but we were asked for coffee refills maybe once and rarely checked on. Our food took way too long to come out, especially considering how empty the place was. My eggs came out cold. Super disappointing. The sausage was awful. It tastes super gamey and just not pleasant at all. The biscuits were good, sausage gravy just okay. The potatoes were under seasoned and also cold. My husband didn't enjoy his either. His omelet was overcooked and potatoes also cold. We definitely have no plans to come back to this location. The two of us met an out-of-town friend at this location this recent Sunday for brunch. Love that they have a check-in waitlist on yelp. Surprisingly even at a prime brunch time on a Sunday (10am), it looked like we wouldn't have had a problem getting a table, but it was nice to have one ready for us in the bar area. Bartender was our Server and he rocked! Seriously busy dude who very much had it together, with a great personality. And somehow he kept Husband and guest in coffee. (not an easy task). Food was well, good. Nothing exciting. Sounds a bit better than it actually is. My Crab Cake Benedicts were just okay. English muffin didn't seem to have been toasted or anything, so there was not the needed texture...discarded it for the most part. Crab cakes had so-so flavor. Poached eggs were a bit over cooked for my taste. Best part was the fresh fruit side that I substituted (and they charged for)...fresh blackberries, strawberries and watermelon. Husband said his omelet was "breakfast food". But experience-wise over all it suited our purposes for a place to meet up with a friend who was staying in Morrisville. I had the classic eggs Benedict. The eggs were perfectly cooked. There was a thick piece of ham underneath. I wasn't a fan of their "country potatoes" deep fried potato chunks. My first time here was a weekday at 1:30 in the afternoon. I didn't realize they closed at 2:00, but they seated me anyway. I was seated very quickly, but it took a while for the waitress to come over, but that was ok, because it was hard to decide what to get. The menu is large, mostly breakfast type foods, but many good options. I got the spinach, bacon and onion omelet. Wow, it came out fast and hot. I had the potatoes with it, but next time would get the grits. The potatoes were little square french fries...not what I was expecting, but they were ok....just would not get again, but the omelet was teriffic. The place was clean and nicely decorated and they had a small bar on one side as well. I will return, as I do want to try other options. One star was deducted due to the prices...higher than I normally pay for a breakfast meal, but the taste and quality was very good. read more

This place is outstanding. I'm not a big breakfast eater. Never would I have expected a breakfast place to become one of my favorite spots in town. These days, I find myself hinting me and my girlfriend eat here every weekend morning. I got the pound cake French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. Now, I'm not a stickler about my basic food, so to me, the eggs and bacon were just that: good eggs and good bacon. If you have a sweet tooth (as the kind waitress recommended the first time we visited), get the pound cake French toast before it goes off the menu. It was soft, buttery, flaky - simply the best French toast variation I've every had, and I've gotten that dish every time I've been there since. I sincerely hope it doesn't go away anytime soon, if ever. Word of advice: Use the waitlist feature. There's reviews here complaining that the restaurant is busy. Yeah, a breakfast place that is packed on weekend mornings shouldn't come as a shocker - especially if you have Yelp but didn't bother to use their waitlist feature. "If you do not like what you eat here something is wrong with you" is what my friend said as we arrived at Another Broken Egg Cafe. She was so right as everything was amazing and this includes the service. To start I love that Yelp has the wait-list feature, so we were able to get on their list and check in while our table was getting ready. We did have to wait a few minutes when we arrived, but we were quickly sat and checked on by our waitress, who was so nice! She got our drinks started and checked on us every time she passed by. For drinks we got a pitcher of their peach bellinis, which serve four drinks for $30--not bad! Upon reviewing the menu for a little bit I decided on their Mardi Gras omelette which had similar ingredients to their shrimp and grits. I really feel like that was what I got as I ordered grits as my side. And wow, oh wow, the taste was just unparalleled compared to other scrambles and shrimp and grits that I have had in the past. The eggs were cooked to perfection and stuffed with tons of peppers, onions, shrimp, and sausage. Every bite just melted in my mouth and I just finished my leftovers as I type this! Now, we did wait about an hour for our food; which to us was not bad as there was a lot of people in the restaurant, the food is made from scratch, and their limited in their kitchen staff. The restaurant had a lot of wait staff, but the kitchen was just limited in their numbers. Again this was something explained to us and our waitress even stopped by and told us this; and to compensate she added additional prosecco to our drinks. We were so surprised to offer this as we were not upset at all. This was not the case of the people next to us that caused a crazy/rude scene. Everything stopped in the restaurant as they became extremely upset about the time and the quality of the food. The manager and several staff got involved and the people eventually left. I mention this because the staff handled everything very professionally even after the man complainer got in the mangers face and berated him with words--which is abuse. I felt bad about what occurred as this should happen to no one. Due to what occurred at the great service and food I will be back!
