I was referred to the owner in regards to a patio cover project for my Mom's house. What a condescending, unkind man. He talked to me like I was an idiot and was downright rude. If I could give negative stars, I would. Oh well, there are plenty of other people that could use the work. Life is too short to deal with unhappy people. So everyone knows. I had a budget of 10k for a 13 X 13 wood patio. John said, "you couldn't even sniff aluminum for that price, try 3 times that". That sir is "not straight forward, but rude". All pro has been an outstanding experience! We had them build a patio cover with solar louvers, heaters and motorized shades. Three years later the solar battery stopped working. All Pro sent a young man named Pete. What an incredible respectful young man. Pete was professional and knowledgeable. Had the problem fixed in 15 minutes. We had a patio cover installed mid-July and it is BEAUTIFUL!! Doug did a fabulous job installing it (he was a hard worker and a pleasure to be around). Since having it installed, we have had a lot of compliments on the patio cover and people have asked for the company we used. We've had comments ranging from "this is the only patio cover I've seen that I actually like" to "this is the best patio cover I've seen." It has helped us to truly take advantage of California outdoor/indoor living - we feel like we've added an extra room to our house! Shortly after the installation, we received a personal call from the owner, John, to see ask about our experience and see if we were happy with the product. We thought this was one more example of great customer service and shows they really do want their customers to be satisfied. We actually had our second baby about a week after the patio cover was finished, so we never called John back (sorry, John)...but we want to make sure APR knows we are very happy with our finished product. :) There were several checks and balances along the way that helped ensure the cover met all of our needs. First, we met with an architect (we met with Merv and he was great!), then someone came out for a site check and then the installer came. Each person asked us questions and made recommendations based on their expertise (including things we hadn't thought of) that ensured our finished product was perfect for us. :) My only slight criticism is that these teams may want to share a bit with each other. For example, we were originally told we could purchase indoor fans, but while installing it was suggested we use outdoor fans, so we had to make a quick trip to Home Depot to exchange the fans we had purchased. This was a minor inconvenience, but we didn't mind because we were so happy with the rest of the service we received and enjoyed working with everyone we worked with. Our patio cover turned out great, and we're very satisfied with the work. It did take awhile before they were able to start the job, but this was in large part due to the pandemic, and availability of materials. Despite that, everyone we dealt with from All Pro, was polite, hard working, professional and very experienced. We were very impressed with the engineered roof brackets that had to be used on part of our cover to raise the height. The finished work, is good quality, and exceeded our expectations. I had a solid top patio cover installed by All Pro and while the estimator was professional the actual work done and crew involved left a lot to be desired. I was harassed for my final payment which I paid only to find later when I went up top to look at the work done that the gutter guard and some shingle work was not completed. I also feel they left the job site very messy. I called back and spoke to the owner who told me how busy he was and that he'd get to it. Well it's been several months and the work is still incomplete. I feel like I held up my end of the bargain and paid for the job in full. I cannot say the same for All Pro. I would not use All Pro again or recommend them to anyone. I've had this company build 2 very nice patio covers at two of my homes over the past 5 years. Well I must admit the covers themselves were built very well and I was happy with the work. If you need any assistance past the initial work their service is awful. If something needs repair or you have a smaller job needed they won't give you the time of day. John the owner is rude and frankly shouldn't be speaking to his customers, he should let his nice and professional salesman take care of it. We just had our patio cover completed by the team at All-Pro Remodeling and we're really happy with the result. I worked mostly with Erik in their showroom, with John (the owner) coming over to the house to do the initial measurements and price out the job. The demo team (our old cover) was clean and precise. You need to be careful when you're cutting eaves and into the roof line and I felt like the crew did a great job. The area underneath the cover they demolished was cleaned very well. My only knock was that when they left some materials on the lawn prior to haul away, some nails were lost in the grass. Not normally a big deal, but my toddler made the discovery. The build team was professional and attentive to details. The job took a day and a half (22'x20') and everything from the cover to the electrical to the clean-up was 5-star worthy. We're really happy with our new patio cover and will definitely be recommending APR to anyone interested. read more

I am in the middle of a project with another company and ran into some problems with the structure. We just aren't happy with it. We just added a second patio cover from APR and are very happy with the results. The first was a lattice type about 2 years ago. The new one is a solid cover in order to provide a bit more weather protection. Incorporated was lighting and a ceiling fan/ light. Everyone at APR was professional, polite and prompt for appointments. Melvyn provided the design and estimate. He fully explained everything on both projects and the estimate was presented in a clear manner. Doug Sauceda was the installer for both of our covers and he does excellent work. He is slow and methodical and takes pride in his work. It almost seems as though he is building the cover for himself. He is experienced made suggestions and sought input prior to any adjustments, enhancing the patio cover. We are satisfied with both projects and recommend APR without reservation. read more

All Pro had the opportunity to earn a 5 star glowing review. Unfortunately, because of the electrician they use, I had to drop them to a 3... We had Merv come out and quote us on a new expanded patio cover. Merv was professional, thorough, and helpful. We had a few other companies out to quote the job, but All Pro won because of Merv. The work was scheduled, we worked with Merv on specifics of the job and went back and forth on a couple of details so we could stay on budget (like us doing the demo ourselves). The drawings were finalized, and the work began. We took Merv's suggestions and had the installers put in a ceiling fan light, some lights on the pillars, and canned lights. He told us the switches for those would be out on the pillar. OK - we figured there must be a reason for that, its not that far from the house, we could do that. We also asked that an outlet be put out on a pillar just in case we want to plug something in on that side of the patio. The patio went up quickly and is beautiful. Then the problem started. My husband was home for the installation. When it came time for the electrician (and I use that term loosely) to install the switches, he asked my husband... Don't you want the switch at the house instead of at the pillar? Well, of course, we would rather have it there. We didn't know that was an option. So my husband takes care of somethings in the house, and goes back outside to find a 2" x 3" x 2" box with about 5 feet of conduit right outside the sliding glass door! UGLY! When my husband said he didn't want that, the 'electrician' said that was the only way it could be done. But, we could paint the conduit to match the house. There was now this ugly box on the side of my house, and conduit running up the wall. We called and asked the owner to come and look at this. He did, and told my husband that he talked to the electrician, and that it was my husband who had asked for the switch to be on the house. Never mind the drawings, never mind my husband never having requested that. When we got their quote to change the switches to what they should have been in the beginning... $800. No apology, no compassion, no understanding how it made the entire patio look unfinished and cheap. We had our own electrician come out... he did the job we wanted (switches actually INSIDE the house) for the same cost. When our electrician looked at the job that had been done, he commented that it had been done wrong! This guy had put canned lights, regular lights AND the ceiling fan all on the same current. This was dangerous! LONG story short, we also found that the outlet on the pillar had also been installed on a dimmer switch, and was not 'hot' all the time like it should've been. So in conclusion - use AllPro for your patio - but DO NOT use their electrician! The next job he does could be disastrous for some home owner, and the management doesn't care. read more

He came back with the plan but we found somethings we did not like and he told us - they will re-do the plan and comeback. We never heard back from him so we called the company and the owner call us back and refused to give me the salesman phone number since he knew what we wanted. John, the owner was very RUDE, no people's manner whatsoever. So, I made the decision to check yelp and oh boy I am glad I did not make any project with them! A few years back I wrote a review about my experience using All Pro for my business. I am a manufactured home dealer of over 34 years and have used All Pro to build insulated patio covers on my brand new homes. Most recently, because of that experience I chose to use them for the patio cover at my own home. I believe as a homebuilder I am fussier than most when it comes to products for my own home, and I definitely see things that most consumers might miss. With All Pro I again was impressed from start to finish. First there is John coming out to my home and fine tuning my design, making suggestions, and giving me things to think about that I haven't even contemplated. Then there is expert crew who not only know exactly what they're doing, but that you can actually communicate with. Not so common anymore. Then probably the most telling is when issues arise that need to handled. I believe that is the true test of how good a contractor is. We had a small issue with the drop-down shade that could have been a continued nuisance, but with John he just simply said "I'll take care of it" and he did! Refreshing! In summary, without hesitation, call APR!!!! Rarely do I give out reviews, so that should say enough about All Pro Remodeling, John Johnson, and his team. I first had John out and he replaced all of my windows with aluminum windows. They ripped through that job quickly and cleanly, the windows they suggested were awesome. I then gave my dad APR's info and they built him a cover in his backyard. My dad still raves about it to this day as it is his outside man-cave. My dad's neighbor came over, saw the work, and had APR build him a cover as well, which he is in love with as well. They both show it off proudly. I just purchased a new home and had APR to the house again to put in a new slider and french doors. Once again, the craftsmanship/retrofit looks beautiful and is quality material. Doug installed both and was absolutely maniacal about cleanliness and precision. Cannot say enough about Doug's hard work and understanding that this is our home, and he wanted it to look as beautiful as we did. Lastly, if you are worried about price.....I called around to 4 other companies and APR was competitive with all. I am thankful I did not read the Yelp reviews prior to dealing with them as I was able to be completely unbiased about them. I had no issues, problems or concerns with their process, quality, workmanship, or customer service and am extremely pleased with the finished product. Interesting to note this company does not receive a bad rap on Angie's List, where contractor grades are weighted based on if work was actually performed versus one bad phone call, yet gets horrible reviews elsewhere. This review is well overdue. Also it should be 4.5 stars but Yelp doesn't give options to give half-stars. First off, Eric was the salesperson who came out to assess our project (just a simple lattice patio cover). He was informative and patient, answering my many questions in details. Eric was also responsive to all my subsequent emails and (more) questions. We drafted a contract and the work started less than 2 weeks from the initial contact. An engineer came out to double-check all the measurements before ordering the materials. This company has 2 crews (one team consists of 3 workers; the other is just one guy). They told me that my project would be a one-man job. I was VERY skeptical! Our job isn't intricate or enormous but I wasn't sure how one person could carry the heavy beams! And yet, Doug did it! Doug is hard-working, meticulous, and painstakingly tedious. In short, he is a perfectionist -- which is perfect for a perfectionist like me! The job started off delayed due to the rain and his truck troubles. But once Doug was able to get started, he worked nonstop, stopping only half an hour or so for a quick bite. He is very detailed oriented, fixing minor flaws that I didn't even notice. He worked hard, methodically, and had such a good positive attitude. He was not annoyed by my many questions. He took the time to stop and explain what he is doing. It took him about 2.5 days to single-handedly erect a lattice patio cover about 11 feet by 22 feet. The finished product elicited a lot of compliments. We had a very minor issue that was not noticed until a few days after everything was completed and the owner handled it promptly and happily. When Doug came back to adjust the issue, he did so happily and with his same friendly, positive attitude. He is the best part of this company. read more

We recently had 3 large wooden lattice patio covers removed and replaced with Elitewood. This was a large project consisting of three lattice patios totaling 48 ft. In length. From the first time we met with Craig, this has been a very professionally run job. The demo and removal of our wooden structure was neat and organized. Clean up was immaculate and I'm not sure how they managed it, but Jesus and his crew didn't disturb any of the surrounding garden plants. Duke's crew completed the new installation and they were equally professional and left the work site clean.
