Found this company on Yelp and SO glad we did! When I requested a quote, I got a response within 30 mins or so! This was one of the few companies that took the time to come to our place to check out our project. We had a crack in our balcony deck that has gotten worse over time. When it would rain the stuccobbelow would drop. It got so bad that it started to grow weeds...ya, not a good sign!!! Mitchell and his dad came out and gave us an honest reasonable quote to demo the deck, replace plywood, sand,finish, repaint our railings and apply a waterproof coating. Unfortunately they we a bit behind because of other current project that were pushed back due to rainy weather. Totally understandable! Heavy rain was anticipated for a week straight, and this company offered to cover our deck with a plastic to protect further damage and water seeping into the crack until the project started. So awesome!!! The plastic held up throughout the week of rain! In the meantime, Mitchell was in touch with me throughout the whole time of our project! He responded to all my texts, emails and yelp messages! He let me know the projected start date of when they would start our project. When they started, he kept me in the "loop" of things and explained what they did for the day and what the plan was for the next day! Mitch and his dad came out to do some of the work but, Alfredo and David was doing most of the work and was coming everyday to do work on our balcony. They are the hardest working, sweetest and most appreciative guys we have ever worked with!!! I wish there were more people like Alfredo and David in the world! Mitch them ran out of stucco paint and went to get more, but the sample didn't match very well, so Mitch went back to Dunn Edwards to get a better match and then again it didn't match as well as the first. The last and final time he went to get a match, it matched perfectly! It's so awesome knowing that this company won't finish the job until its done right!! I'm so happy at how our balcony turned out! 20 stars if I could! Everything about this company is top notch. I just bought a condo and I had a garage leak from a storm. :( Turns out it's from my balcony. The balcony was only 5 years old and it turns out it was done wrong. I found MFK on yelp and read through the reviews. MFK helped water test and found more leak originations than myself and another company. Their prices are right in line with other bids I received. It took a few weeks to get onto their busy books, but it was worth it. Mitch is the project manager and was fast with quoting, checked-in on site, and was always available. The 2 man crew, Gaspar and Alfredo, were amazing. They were on time every day and left it clean everyday. It was a 3 day job and it looks amazing. They showed me what they did every step of the way (I was curious) and I could see the nice quality craftsmanship. They had to rip out stucco on a wall and rip out the perimeter of my balcony to add flashing. They even found an area causing leaks just around the corner from the balcony and fixed that too (more stucco removal and flashing). They also did a few other little stucco fixes for me. Very reasonable price per square foot. Everything looks amazing. I also bid with them for roof maintenance (cleaning and sealing for 5 units in the HOA) and their pricing was the lowest out of 5 local bids. Don't use anyone else! read more

MFK was great fixing up my water damaged balcony deck. The deck was only 7 years old, but not correctly seal originally and lacked proper slope, so it became waterlogged and rotten. They replaced all the rotten parts, reinforced the existing wood, sprayed mold killer, updated the slope for proper drainage, and properly sealed it with a new floor. I am so glad I chose MFK! I recently got a new place and when the random crazy thunder and rain hit, it revealed some leaks on my balcony deck. MFK stands for Mother F'ing Kooks... I called this company to come and give us a stucco bid. Price was great but the work was not. Aside from the several cracks in the walls, they trampled on and ruined freshly poured concrete. When I brought up the ruined concrete to "Man-Child-Mitch", he proceeded to scream at me over the phone and then showed up to our home, after being told to not come to the property. I would highly recommend MFK Construction. Mitch, Martin and their crew were excellent! We had dry rot on our 2 story house fascia board. I called 3 different companies and based on just the first visit to quote, I knew MFK was the right construction company. They were the only one to actually closely inspect the damage. The other 2 vendors - one gave me a ridiculously low quote (signal final cost would be more) and one vendor spewed for 10 minutes on the horrors of working on red clay tile roofs. MFK gave me a detailed quote and availability timeline. Martin and his crew arrived on time (even early!) and completed the removal, replacement (including painting) of all the damaged fascia boards. This included the board that went alongside the top of the roof. They did not break any roof tiles and where needed, they removed the tiles and put the tiles back. They worked for 2 days on time and their cleanup every day was spotless - cleaner than before they started. read more
