Of all the many reviews I have written, this company would be at the very "top of all my ratings"!! Sergio and OSH Construction is by far, my most pleased of services, particularly when it comes to home remodels! I discovered Sergio after I saw his incredible work/remodeling to the house next door to me. We arranged our first meeting whereby he bought his laptop, and provided numerous options and designs for my bathroom remodel. Fortunately, Sergio has great ideas and suggestions, making the process of decision making, ie. what materials to use, design options, etc. The process started right on cue, and the ETA for completion of 4-5 weeks was righty on the money! The guys that work for OSH are ALL exemplary, professional, prompt, and courteous! From the demolition guys, the carpenters, the electrician, the painter, the glass guys, I could not have asked for better! The thing that stands out for me, is the fact that these guys were consistently prompt, and did not skip a beat. Unlike most contractors, whereby days are missed, job gets delayed due to spreading themselves too thin with other jobs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Sergio and his team are so easy to work with, very communicative, and as evident from the pictures, did an amazing job updating our midcentury home that was stuck in the 70s. One thing you'll notice with the other reviews is that folks have checked out multiple other general contractors and OSH Construction keeps coming out on top. The same happened here where we asked multiple contractors to survey the work and bid for our full house reno (floors, walls, lighting, kitchen, bathrooms). When Sergio walked with us to survey, he asked the right questions, made great observations, and was genuinely personable. When it came to pricing, he was fair and within the ballpark of other contractors. He's thorough when putting together the quote so it may take time some time. Trust, he didn't forget about you. At decision time, it came down to choosing between him or the contractor that our families had worked with/recommended. The difference was the person; we felt like Sergio would be more responsive and not keep us wondering about the progress. We had a good feeling about him! The PROCESS: Man, his team was fast! We made the decision on a Wednesday. They came in that following Monday to demo and were starting on electrical by Wednesday. Sergio met with us every 1-2 weeks to do walkthroughs and talk about next steps, and we received daily text updates on what was accomplished for the day, which we greatly appreciated and felt involved. Highly Recommend OSH Construction The OSH Team provided my family with a resort type master bathroom that will stand the test of time for decades to come.  Sergio and his team transformed a 1970s décor into a modern marvel.  This team was professional, respectful, and talented.  They held to their schedule from the time they showed up in the mornings to their daily clean up.  What truly impressed me, was that the project stayed on schedule right up until its end. This was our second project with Sergio and Osh Construction, and we truly could not be happier. We are currently halfway through our home improvement project with Sergio, and I wanted to leave a review of the process so far and the work we've seen done because we're very pleased with how it is going. If you're looking for a contractor, I would strongly recommend reaching out to OSH construction and getting a quote from them. Getting quotes from general contractors and tradespeople shows you the wide variety of ways people do business. Some never called back or ghosted at various stages (didn't show up, never sent a quote, didn't do followup). And for the ones who did show up it really ran the gamut of helpful individuals to some that were less helpful. We went with Sergio and OSH Construction because he was Professional, had good communication, showed competence, had a good quote. As we have started the work he has only impressed us more. - Sergio had good communication. He was punctual and showed up when he said he would. He was respectful of our time. - During our quote process he provided useful information and asked helpful questions The Quote was - Competitive in price. It's hard to compare contractor to contractor because they will bill each line differently. On a line by line basis Sergio seemed higher in price, but overall his quote was competitive probably cause he wasn't hiding an extra line item for "Removal" or "Finishing" or breaking out the projects like others had. - Detailed enough : we got some quotes for roofs that were one line in a text, to 12 pages of detailed steps of work. Both are hard to use, Sergio's was about a page for the roof with a clear list of work being done and not being done. - Every work project on Sergio's quote like that. He said he wants it to be clear for each job what we are paying for. This helped out immensely during the quoting process as he updated the quote as we agreed upon changes. During the work so far - Sergio has remained an excellent and timely communicator. - We have a clear idea of schedule and what the teams are working on now and what they are working on next - In addition, we know what surprises they are finding along the way. I would easily recommend Sergio and OSH Construction to anyone. We were having our kitchen extended and remodeled and both bathrooms completely redone. As we were looking for contractors we came across OSH and all of the 5 star reviews and definitely put them on our short list. Since the time we first consulted with him up through where we are now in the middle of the project, we are very happy we chose him. So we started our the process interviewing 7 different vendors for a whole house renovation. We set a whole day and had them come back to back to place bids on the work. Part of the process was so they could get an idea of the scope of work to be done but also for us to assess them from a professional level and how they interact with their clients. After that entire process I remember liking most of the vendors but my wife made the comment that I seemed to be talking up Sergio more than the others. Fast forward, we end up hiring OSH construction for the job. A few things that stood out right off the bat from our first interaction. 1. Professionalism - Sergio and his team were prompt, quick and responsive. He provided a detailed invoice that laid out all the work that was discussed to be done on the home. Not once did we ever feel like we were being upsold, and in several instances they ended up doing more work to make sure they weren't cutting corners even if it meant them eating the cost. The workmanship is more than we could have asked for. 2. Ease of work - Sergio and his team's goal was clear off the bat, they were aiming to please their customer. Where do I start? We've been in our 1956 home for 8 years and we were in a desperate need of an addition and total home remodel. I called four contractors for a estimates on a new fully permitted bathroom on the second floor bonus room above the garage. Sergio responded in a timely manner. We setup an appointment for him to look at the space. The space is very small. His quote was very reasonable and one of the best out of the four contractors. Our first goal was to simply get water to play in.... Deck was aesthetically important but not necessary. We were so pleased with price and professionalism.... We stalled backyard deck and proceeded to rip out kitchen And begin remodel. Construction isn't fun. However.... Every day I came home from Work to a new level of HOLY MOLY I love my kitchen !!! Please understand my kitchen and home is small .... But MIGHTY. During.... Floor instal in pantry hallway .... There was a worry with bathroom Floor. So Sergio recommended to take it up.... The mold in shower, shower walls, and floor was shocking. This began ... bathroom remodel..... which only lead to my darling beautiful bathroom. Aside from just a all around great person with a great price .... I must tell you , letting men you don't know into your home To work can be challenging. His crew was always professional and aware of where I was just as I was aware of where they were . Once I dropped a bag of small bottles that rolled all over my front yard, easy 30 bottles. His crew stopped and picked up my bottles for me. We loved our kitchen so much .... We hired him yet again (even after pricing out again) to add an addition on to our home . We have recently completed that project and can't be more pleased !! That project initialed taking Off the back end of my current garage . New slab. New build off garage . And granny pad for mother in law. Picts and videos wi be included. This current construction relationship is still underway and not done . More projects to come. One more bathroom needs to be handled .... And don't forget a deck still needs to go in . I'm sure much much more . Please understand ..... construction brings out lots of emotions .... And I felt them All. Sergio and his crew help deflate all the crazy you feel going through it . It helps to not dislike or dare I say hate your contractor and his team. OSH Construction is THE BEST!!! We are extremely happy with our "new" home! Our kitchen, living and family room remodel took about 80 days to complete. We consulted with three other contractors, but OSH was the only one to give us a complete and fair quote. During our first encounter with Sergio, the contractor, his organization and professionalism really jumped out at us. What solidified our decision to choose OSH for the job was when Sergio invited us to see a couple of their other reno sites, which were both bigger than our project. We were very impressed with their work, as well as the number of workers at the job site. One of our biggest concerns with starting our reno was that we needed to be home throughout the project. The guys did a great job in sealing off the work areas and cleaning up at the end of the day. The guys were very respectful, hardworking and organized. They would arrive at 730am and be cleaned up by 330pm, six days a week from Monday thru Saturday. They were always upbeat, and from what we can tell, more than happy to do their jobs. A sign of a good working environment and leadership. About ninety percent of the time there was four of five workers. In our neighborhood, multiple construction sites can be seen throughout the year, but we've never seen one with workers present every day. In addition, we've always heard how hard it was to pass inspections with OC Public Works, but we didn't experience any of that, not one. Throughout the process, Sergio made suggestions that we either didn't consider or thought impossible to do, most notably an island waterfall effect. We were skeptical it could be done, considering our island was already the biggest quartz slab that we could find and no two slabs have similar veining. He guaranteed we would be happy with the continuation of the pattern, but that if we weren't he would remove the extra quartz at no additional charge. AND that he would eat the cost of the materials. Needless to say, we were blown away with the end result and it's the perfect finishing touch to our beautiful kitchen. We tried to be model clients but admit that we may have made things complicated sometimes with quite a few order additions. For instance, mid construction we decided we wanted a custom hood, paint other areas of the house, change and add crown molding, customize certain parts of a prefabricated cabinet, etc. Sergio was great, always said "no problem, you're going to like it." And we love it all. It's absolutely worth repeating that we couldn't be happier with the final results. OSH gave us a kitchen, living and family rooms beyond our imagination. We love the openness and brightness that we now get from natural light. We are so appreciative and grateful for the wonderful group of people at OSH Construction. We would absolutely and highly recommend OSH to anyone who's looking for a contractor. We have, in fact, recommended them to a few people in need of a good contractor. After getting several estimates for a kitchen remodel, we were referred to OSH by a friend. Sergio came over the same day we called him for an estimate. He spent time with us reviewing the estimates other companies provided. He helped us research the companies and he provided us an estimate of his own. We met with him several more times before deciding to go with him. Sergio was very helpful, honest, and considerate of our questions during the estimate process. We started the work a few weeks later and Sergio was there with us every day making sure we had everything we need. There were quite a few issues that were uncovered during the process due to our house being older. Sergio and his guys worked through the issues and did the extra work to make our dream kitchen come true without increasing the price. OSH teams were professional and courteous during the entire process. They cleaned up after themselves every day and kept the work area in the best conditional possible. The crew worked hard every day from start to finish. They did not take very many breaks and they even worked on the weekends. Sergio was there at the end of every day to make sure things were going better than expected and that we were happy with the work. As the job got started we had many changes to what we wanted. We started off wanting a kitchen upgrade and we finished with a complete house remodel. We removed interior walls, closed windows and an exterior door, replaced an exterior door with a sliding glass door, added a shower to a half bathroom, added a bar top peninsula cooktop, installed a wall oven, replaced floors in the living room, dining room, bathroom, hallways and painted the interior of each of those rooms. With all the extra work included, the OSH crew still finished the job in 2 weeks and 5 days...2 days earlier than estimated. The work was amazing, the time they did it in was beyond belief, and the care and professionalism was top of the line. I've heard nightmare stories about construction companies and I was kind of expecting the worse. With OSH doing the work we had no such bad experience. We had OSH Construction remodel our kitchen, laundry room and a bathroom. Sergio and his team did a wonderful job. He says no extras and he means it. Only things we had to pay extra for were items we added during construction such as under cabinet lighting and an extra cabinet. He quoted three weeks for construction and finished on day 20.
