Alex and his crew are the best! We needed our bathroom redone and must have met with a dozen contractors to get quotes. Alex's estimate was the best price for what we needed. They were able to start right away and Alex was super responsive throughout the whole process. They were very clean and covered our floors and bedroom to ensure dust wouldn't get in. They also swept up after each job which is appreciated. His team is extremely hardworking and worked many late nights to keep things moving along. We really like Alex. His work is clean. He covers the floor and protects your things. We hired this company to do some corrections the city required on a job. They were very responsive initially and got the permits tying up the job. However, later and in many instances it takes days to get a response to a text call or email after they have your job. We didn't see that part coming Many months later it's like pulling teeth to get their scope of work completed and call for inspection. This is after paying all the old plus the new invoices due they keep sending for piecemeal things that the inspector did not call for. In addition there was a new invoice to redo bracing that failed inspection when the inspector said it was because it did not follow the plan that's approved at that time. This week we even paid $1100 ahead on that invoice just to ensure payment is not an issue. They seem to design their process this way to keep the gig going at the cost of the customer and push recommending many additional things that aren't in the agreed scope or in the plans. It seems like they're looking for and in a slick way point out optional things to the inspector when normally a contractor represents you well and is your advocate. They do it with a worried tone to force the customer into doing everything they want with them. I don't think this is standard business practice especially in construction where time matters and means additional costs. Wish someone had mentioned this experience because it's hard to believe we're the first to experience this but feel it's important for others to know before making their decision. The lower bid may become much more expensive, especially when they get your job and become non-responsive. For instance, it took 5 days from April 4th to April 9th to get a response to a text, but this was not a one time occurrence Again not all the fault is theirs for the delays, it's this last month that we experienced that we're writing about. Today we still cannot seem to get to inspection. The last one was October. You can imagine the added costs you may be stuck with because your job can never be complete without progress and inspection on the things that really matter to the inspector. We still don't have a scheduled date. That seems to be the reason why he doesn't want us or the architect there for the long overdue inspection he should be scheduling. And if yours is a commercial job like ours, imagine what each additional month of this costs you and not being able to run your business. Very inconsiderate people with questionable tactics and don't seem to care or know when to stop. Invoices are broad and vague and overlapping so the customer ends up paying some things twice. And we can't help wondering if it's by design. Now a simple project seems never-ending and contractor delays add costs and falls on the customer. A new contractor we had to engage clearly lays out line items to be performed with the cost of each which is the standard one expects. read more

We also had them do a bathroom vent install with duct work and new electrical line ran last minute and they had no problem getting that done and at a great price! not only were the in and out, they were punctual, clean and professional. Alex restores the faith back in the handyman occupation. Our previous painter/handyman did some Mickey Mouse work on drywall and paint, like on our entire house. We also needed new drywall work, fiberglass front door painted, and outdoor spa demo. To make things look almost perfect he patched up area where the previous guy messed up without us asking and our house looks amazing now.
