After 6 long years of using our master bathroom shower, we realized the poor workmanship of the house flipper that sold us our house. Tiles not lined up, water leaking out the shower door, water leaking through the grout, grout cracking, water pooling in a corner of the shower because it wasn't properly sloped. It got to the point where what once was a pretty shower became a nasty place to shower in. Kenny was fast to respond, professional, and took his job seriously. He also had a punctual team who worked hard and was attentive to details. We were more than impressed with the outcome of our shower. They nailed our "accent wall with shower niche". I finally found the best contractor and just had an amazing experience building an 880sqft ADU. From the first day I discussed the project with Sergio the owner, I felt a sense of ease and trust. Segio is a standup guy and a solid business owner. He has excellent knowledge of all types of remodels and new construction. The proposal was clear and straightforward. His estimate was fair and competitive. Also, there were no change-orders for the project. Sergio hates change-orders just as much as we all do. I chose to add a few things throughout the project and his charges were more than fair. He even did some extra things at no charge. As far as the craftsmanship, the team at OSH is excellent from the crew that built the foundation to the plumbing, electrical, drywall, finishes and painting. OSH has a good size team and self performs almost everything, which gives you peace of mind and better control over timing, budget and quality. Now here is the icing on the cake, OSH Construction completed the job ahead of schedule. Sergio provided a schedule that was already very aggressive. I honestly didn't think it is even possible. The entire house was built in less than 5 months. They were often waiting on us to make decisions and select finishes. They are so fast and efficient while providing the best quality craftsmanship. If you hire OSH Construction, have all your ducks in a row and you will have your remodel completed in no time. I highly recommend OSH Construction and Sergio in particular as a contractor. Once demolition started, he identified further issues with flooring around bathtub that needed repair and also made suggestions for remodeling the restroom for a newer look. He was reasonable with his prices and wanted to make sure I, the customer, made a well informed decision. We added some upgrades to the bathroom such as vanity and recess lighting which gave the restroom a whole new modern look. Extremely happy with Quality Construction and would recommended them to anyone needing remodeling since they can do it all.

An Architect's Review…read more As an architect, I work with contractors on a regular basis and needless to say, I was probably more particular than most when it came to choosing someone to work on my own home. Word of mouth and research led me to ARC / Armando... and I'm glad I went with him! From the beginning, communication was clear and straightforward. We went through the scope of work, my requirements and budget. I had some very basic drawings prepared to communicate my ideas. Along the way, Armando made suggestions to work with my requirements and budget. His pricing was reasonable and, most importantly, he completed the work within the budget we originally agreed upon. Anyone who has done a renovation before knows how easily costs can start creeping up once work begins. That was not my experience here. The scope and budget were established upfront and Armando stuck to them. And this was very important to me as I had no way of accommodating an increase in cost. The work was for a garage renovation, it included interior demo, replacement of an exterior window, addition of a new exterior door, vinyl wood flooring, drywall and installation of a new gypsum ceiling. Work progressed efficiently and to my expectations with no unnecessary delays. Communication throughout the project was excellent, and mostly Armando initiating the conversations to keep me updated. He was also very easy to work with on finishes and hardware. Some items I provided myself while others were sourced by him. Again, he made recommendations to work with my budget while not compromising on quality. Speaking of quality, the quality of the work was exceptional. It has now been over a year since the renovation was completed and everything still looks as good as the day it was finished. Absolutely zero complaints! His attention to detail was very much appreciated. He constantly made suggestions when he felt something could be improved. For example, he suggested a more random tile pattern for the vinyl floor instead of the more regular stagger I had proposed. We went with his suggestion and I am very pleased with it. Armando is knowledgeable, reliable and a pleasure to work with. Coming from someone who deals with contractors professionally all the time, I don't make that recommendation lightly. Definitely highly recommended and he will be my first call for future projects!

TL;DR The job got done, but I don't recommend this company due to poor communication, inconsistent…read moreinformation, and changing the price. They asked for more money than quoted when they arrived, tried to justify it by saying it was more work than went into the quote, then didn't do that extra work (or if they did, could not explain what it was), and got upset when asked to honor the original quote. We originally spoke about gutter clean+repair over text, and Josh said in writing that would be "$250-$600" including clean-out and resecuring with up to 3 brackets. We also talked about adding 1-2 downspouts in a couple problem areas which would be extra, as would more than 3 brackets.  He wouldn't come out to give an in-person review, and instead asked for a video where we walked around the whole house to show the entire gutter length. On the day of the job, they were 3 hours after the scheduled time, though they did let me know in advance they were running late.  Josh was not there despite saying earlier he would be. The person that did show up reviewed the gutters and said it would be $750, before any downspouts. I asked why this was higher than the $250-$600 range I was given and he didn't seem to know about that estimate. He talked to Josh and came back and said the job was "more work than they thought" including that they'd need at least 4 and maybe up to 7 new brackets. They also only brought 1 downspout with them even though we had talked about 2 possible additions, so that would have to be another visit. We decided not to do either downspout and agreed to $700 to just get the clean and repair done with, given the extra brackets we knew would be extra even though that didn't seem like it should be another $100, as the text has also quoted $25 per new bracket and it might only be 1 more than the 3 included. They finished less than an hour later, and as we reviewed the work, we found they only used 3 brackets after all - they said they weren't able to add more in the spots they had wanted to.  They also said things like that they went around the whole house to fix up the nails all over.  When we pointed out a few nails still sticking out they said "oh we didn't do that side." I said then that it should be at most the $600 I was originally quoted, since they didn't seem to do any extra work or brackets to justify and never gave a straight answer for what was "more work than they thought it would be" other than the brackets they didn't end up doing. Josh was upset we were changing the deal from what was agreed, while I was upset that they didn't do the work that they said was what caused the extra charges. I said I'd be leaving a bad review over this experience and Josh said fine to just give $600 if I was going to resort to "threatening" him over it to lower the price I agreed to pay and implying I was stealing from him when they were "just trying to help me out" with the "discount" they already agreed to of $700 down from $750. I end up giving the $700 to get them out of there because he's right that I did agree to pay that, though I still feel it was under false and constantly changing information about what they were actually doing. And Josh was difficult to talk to the whole time, kept saying that I was making up information like the $600 quote when I was literally pointing to a text message he sent about the range of $250-$600. If you do use them, which I don't recommend, I encourage you to get a firm estimate and scope of work in writing in advance so they cannot show up and then try to charge more or do less.
