The place is not much to look at, but the Food is simply amazing especially the tacos. But everything here is well made.

An Architect's Review As an architect, I work with contractors on a regular basis and needless to say, I was probably more particular than most when it came to choosing someone to work on my own home. Word of mouth and research led me to ARC / Armando... and I'm glad I went with him! From the beginning, communication was clear and straightforward. We went through the scope of work, my requirements and budget. I had some very basic drawings prepared to communicate my ideas. Along the way, Armando made suggestions to work with my requirements and budget. His pricing was reasonable and, most importantly, he completed the work within the budget we originally agreed upon. Anyone who has done a renovation before knows how easily costs can start creeping up once work begins. That was not my experience here. The scope and budget were established upfront and Armando stuck to them. And this was very important to me as I had no way of accommodating an increase in cost. The work was for a garage renovation, it included interior demo, replacement of an exterior window, addition of a new exterior door, vinyl wood flooring, drywall and installation of a new gypsum ceiling. Work progressed efficiently and to my expectations with no unnecessary delays. Communication throughout the project was excellent, and mostly Armando initiating the conversations to keep me updated. He was also very easy to work with on finishes and hardware. Some items I provided myself while others were sourced by him. Again, he made recommendations to work with my budget while not compromising on quality. Speaking of quality, the quality of the work was exceptional. It has now been over a year since the renovation was completed and everything still looks as good as the day it was finished. Absolutely zero complaints! His attention to detail was very much appreciated. He constantly made suggestions when he felt something could be improved. For example, he suggested a more random tile pattern for the vinyl floor instead of the more regular stagger I had proposed. We went with his suggestion and I am very pleased with it. Armando is knowledgeable, reliable and a pleasure to work with. Coming from someone who deals with contractors professionally all the time, I don't make that recommendation lightly. Definitely highly recommended and he will be my first call for future projects! read more

I recently had my home renovated -- including the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living room -- and I remember how wary I felt at first about finding the right contractor for such a major project. Armando quickly put my mind at ease and earned my trust throughout the entire process. He delivered within the timeframe he promised and was very accommodating, even with my last-minute requests. He was always easy to reach whenever I had questions or wanted to check on progress. There were a few minor finishing details that could be improved, but they were far too small to take away from the overall experience. I'm very happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend Armando to friends and family! read more

We just finished our project with ARC Construction and could not have been happier. Our project started with a kitchen drain leak that damaged our wall, cabinets and flooring. After going through insurance and getting a quote from another company we decided to go with Armando and ARC Construction due to his honesty and thorough estimate. He priced out every detail so you know exactly what you're paying for, which was not the case with other companies. He definitely set the bar high, and met it, for the entire project. As a homeowner with two small children, having a timeline of when we could get back into the house and updates along the way was very important to me. Armando would text or call me almost every day regarding progress and what he was doing to the house. His workers were all professional and kept my home clean even through all the construction dust/chaos. He is very capable in everything that we asked of him and provided referrals to people for some of the things he did not do personally. We are so happy to have found our lifelong contractor for any other projects we may have. Overall we are so happy with everything he as done, his workmanship, his professionalism, his communication and his team. 10/10 highly recommend to all. read more

ARC construction and Armando did an incredible job in our bathroom. We had a shower pan fail in our old shower and Armando and his team quickly identified the problem, worked with us throughout the entire process, and in the end, created a space we really like. ARC Construction exceeded all my expectations, and I would highly recommend Armando and his team for your construction/renovation needs. The project was a complete bathroom remodel (demo, moving plumbing/electrical around, framing, drywall, hot mop, tile, HVAC, vent fan, new window, paint). Armando was hands on during all parts of the project, and was responsive to all our needs and changes as they came up. His attention to detail is excellent and at every point he made sure that we were aware of the progress and that we were satisfied with how things were going. Thank you to the whole team, and I look forward to working with ARC Construction in the future! read more

We recently completed a full remodel of a 40 year-old home we purchased, including a new bathroom addition, a full plumbing re-pipe, removal of old walls in the living area, master bath, and kitchen, and all new flooring. During the renovation, they also addressed unexpected water damage found inside the walls. Armando and his crew did an excellent job and finished the project on time. Armando was always responsive, returned calls promptly, and followed up on any questions we had. A special shout-out to David (painting), Rodrigo (tile), and Juan (drywall) -- Armando and all these gentlemen did truly top-notch work. read more

We did a full kitchen, guest bathroom, and custom cabinet remodel with Arc Construction, and the experience was excellent. Armondo provided a reasonable quote--not the cheapest, but he brought in high-quality tradespeople who showed up on time every day and even finished the project ahead of schedule. He kept us informed about any unforeseen costs or change orders and helped us make smart decisions along the way. The drywaller he used was fantastic, seamlessly matching everything, and the custom cabinet suppliers were incredibly friendly, going above and beyond to ensure we were happy. Finding a reliable contractor can be tough, but Armondo exceeded our expectations and made sure we were well taken care of. Highly recommend! read more

Armando and his team are not only great at what they do, they are all genuinely great people to deal with. Armando is not the type of contractor you only see at the beginning and end of your project. ARC transformed our outdated 1960's ranch style home (~1600 square feet) that needed a lot of TLC. When looking for a general contractor, we had gotten three estimates: ARC's was not the lowest, nor was it the highest, but it was the most transparent and itemized estimate that we received. The estimate was priced reasonably and there were caveats/stipulations that were shared with us up front about potential additional costs depending on the condition of our home. Through a 4 month journey, ARC worked on probably about 95% of our home, both on the inside and the outside. Along the way, we added numerous new items to do, both small and large and it was very easy to do 'change orders' with Armando. Here are a few things that stood out the most: 1. Armando (the owner of ARC) is approachable, responsive, dependable, honest, and fair. No question was ever too 'silly' and no text was ever too early or late in the day. Armando always makes himself available to discuss any questions, concerns, or even tangential ideas of mine. Armando notified us immediately about any unforeseen issues with potential solutions and options and explained things to us so that we would clearly understood what was going on. Everything he said he would do, he would deliver! Armando strives to make sure that his customer needs are met and works with you. As one of many examples: Armando referred us to a store to buy flooring, but they were going to charge us a ridiculous amount for freight ($$$), so he took it upon himself to find another vendor with the equivalent quality of LVP for cheaper and he picked it up for us (and another customer too!). Armando also helped us by picking up other materials like doors and toilets that were too big for us to transport on our own, relieving us of stress, sweat, and additional shipping costs. 2. There is a big team of quality, respectful, and reliable subcontractors who can do a wide variety of different tasks. We used numerous different trades in our project. A few particularly stood out: roofing subcontractor (repairs that'll help us feel at ease with a rainy el nino season coming), drywall subcontractor (made drywall that had been painted over and over on look brand new again); bathroom sliding glass door (gorgeous!); tile contractor (laid 3x12 subway tile in my dream vertical offset pattern) and exterior painter (our house and metal patio looks new and fresh). Our garage door broke falling off the track and Armando was able to quickly bring someone to fix it the next day and get our new garage door opener installed! 3. Armando and his team strives for a exceptional work in an efficient manner. ARC worked on our house diligently and they take pride in the work that they do. His team works very hard and they even worked through the hot summer days. The little details do matter to them, such as recaulking shrunken cracked caulk, paint touch ups, and tidying up the worksite. Finally, Armando is knowledgeable/experienced in the construction industry and regularly provided recommendations, suggestions, and guidance to make sure that we got the best outcome. Armando and team make it a point that it is their job to do things right, so when we asked if things could be corrected or changed to meet our personal preferences, it was not an issue, but rather their own expectation and standard. We are so happy with the final outcome of our home and will be enjoying it for years to come. A big thank you to ARC! We highly recommend ARC construction for any project that you have. They can handle the big stuff, the little stuff and everything in between! read more

Armando and his team are incredibly hard working, committed and talented professionals. We completed a full master bath and kitchen remodel plus flooring, fireplace retiling, lighting and multiple additional change orders in record time and very reasonable cost. Armando is so responsive and dedicated to his work. He did a lot of work himself which is rare to see a contractor who is so capable and skilled. Not to mention so trustworthy and reliable. I have done remodel and construction work in the past with other companies and Armando and his team surpassed all expectations. This company had no availability for my small bathroom remodel. I was asking for an estimate and wasn't ready to schedule immediately.

We wanted to turn our storage garage into a work space and for the first phase of the project we hired Armando and his team at ARC. He was fair priced, very professional, responds quickly, and flexible in adding/changing things to the project as we went on. We did a total demo of the ceiling and walls, took out the garage door, added an attic, lighting, a/c unit, and changed the windows. He gave an invoice with all the prices broken down so I could see how much everything cost which I appreciated. I'll definitely be calling Armando for future projects! read more

Armando is the man!! We were looking to have our kitchen remodeled before moving in and my wife came across ARC Construction & Remodeling on Yelp. NO SHORTCUTS and his work is done the right way. I also had a conversation with him on how we both appreciate symmetry. When a decision was needed to be made, I had full confidence Armando would steer us in the right direction. If you are looking for a contractor who is efficient, reliable, trustworthy, talented, and knowledgeable in his field, don't hesitate to go with ARC. Armando and team lived up to all the 5 star reviews. Armando is an excellent contractor who provides honest and upfront pricing and provides clear communication throughout the project. It is very rare to find a contractor who will respond to your calls and texts almost immediately during the course of the entire project, but Armando did just that. Armando was awesome with issues we had on our end getting bad parts for our shower system. He came back numerous times to install and take apart the system (without complaining or change orders) while we worked out the issue with our system's manufacturer. Armando and team also always showed up on time and worked on the project in a very timely manner. ARC Construction and Remodeling company remodeled my bathroom about one and half year ago. I am very pleased with their work. Everything is still working really well and looks great. The remodel work went very smoothly from start to finish. Armando, the owner of the company kept excellent communications with me all the time. He always answered my calls or my text messages right away and let me know what was going to be done the next day. The contract he drafted was very detailed and transparent. He was very honest and upfront about the costs. I really liked the way he did business and that was the reason I chose his company to do the job. The job was finished earlier than his estimated time. A property makeover project (OC version: Kitchen). The property had a very nice vintage kitchen and antique appliances that I adored. Those old charms were roughly used and destroyed by the past tenants. I was in shock but decided to give it a makeover. I contacted several contractors via Yelp (I always seem to use Yelp to find people), and ARC's response seemed most honest one. Armando was very clear about what he could do and couldn't. I initially wanted a butcher block countertop, but he was clear that he doesn't handle it, and recommended to hire another contractor for it. He doesn't brush off my wants and needs, but tries to make it happen (I ended up with a beautiful quartz countertop though). I also modified the original plan and added so many items after the contract was signed, but Armando patiently listened my demands and provided what I needed for this project. Throughout the construction, Armando kept his professionalism all the time. One of my jobs is extremely time constraints, and my availability to communicate with him in person was very limited. He decided to catch me in the very early morning and communicated with me daily via text, which I appreciated. One thing I really appreciated was that he asked to stop by the property when rained. He was concerned if any materials were left outside and wanted to bring them inside to prevent them to get wet. It wasn't the day they were scheduled to work, but he stopped by only to make sure that everything was dry during the rainy days. Armando really cares his customers, and takes a pride of his work. The vintage kitchen turned out to a modern farm house kitchen. I am very happy about their work, and strongly recommend ARC. Armando says that he wants his customers to be happy, and it shows in his work. 5 Stars. read more

Armando and his team are experts and the best contractors we could have ever found. We were doing a large flooring project and found rot in our subfloor and walls due to our old bathroom. We called Arc Construction and Armando came quickly to assess and give a reasonable quote for a bathroom gut and remodel. We appreciated his creativity and hard work. He gave many suggestions for items and ideas that helped make the bathroom an amazing space. He was here on the weekends, working late during the week, and doing everything he can to get the job done. We recently hired ARC to help us with updates to our garage to make room for side by side washer/dryer units as well as make it a more comfortable space for a home office. The project included several "under the hood" items like electrical and plumbing, as well as more cosmetic upgrades like a larger window replacement, door replacement, lighting upgrades and painting. Armando was very responsive from the beginning to the end and made himself available morning and night to answer questions and get us timely responses. He was transparent about costs and provided detailed estimates with granular cost breakdowns, which we really appreciated. He was also direct about the scope of work he/his subcontractors would/would not cover from the beginning. Armando is a hard worker and often worked until after dark to get a task done. He is also a nice guy that we trust to give us a straightforward answer -- which was not the same gut feeling we had with other contractors we spoke with about the project initially. His subcontractors for the mini split heater/AC install and window/framing were both great as well. While not the flashiest project, we are happy with the work Armando did and feel the money was well spent to update our garage. Even in the end when we were finishing the project, there were a few things we pointed out as wanting to get fixed, and he was happy to do it, no issues. We recommend working with ARC to anyone who may be interested in a similar project. Thanks, Armando! read more

This was our first experience with a contractor and we were blown away by his skill and work ethic. We cannot recommend Armando and his team enough! Our home needed a couple of things updated (kitchen countertops and backsplash, two new bathroom countertops/cabinets/lighting, one new shower/bathtub and a fresh coat of paint). This was a big project for us to take on but Armando managed the workload like a short and simple grocery list. He was always very responsive via text and phone calls with updates and answering all of our questions in a timely manner. He never left us in the dark. We felt like we were in trustworthy hands every step of the way. Not once did we think "what's taking so long" but there were plenty of times where we thought "wow they finished that already?" If we could give ARC Construction and Remodeling a 10 Stars, we would. We found ARC Construction and Remodeling on Yelp, and Armando responded to our initial contact quickly and did an estimate on remodeling two of our bathrooms. His quotes were reasonable, comparing to several other bids we received, and we decided to work with him. The communication was easy with Armando via text, phone call and email. He communicated with us throughout the project regarding the task progress: who would be working and what time he would arrive the house the following date, as well as change orders due to changes in the plans. He has a team working on different tasks, and David was his right-hand man who was here most of the time. We were living in the house while the remodeling was going on, they covered up the construction area in plastic and swept after they were done with the day's work. Their quality of work was top-notch, and they paid a lot of attention to details. David made sure the wall was patched up before painting, and he took care of the electrical portion. The tile guys noticed our wall in the first bathroom was leaning one way, and Armando wanted to make the job gets done right, so we agreed to bring the wall up straight. In the second bathroom, Armando also noticed there's leak in a pipe, so they took care of it and made sure the shower area was waterproofed. We like how Armando is flexible, responsible, takes pride in his work, is professional and polite, and easy to communicate. Most importantly, we trust him. Armando is knowledgeable about all different aspects of the construction, he would always provide his best opinions and recommendations, and we went with a lot of his suggestions. We also like the fact that he knows his team very well, and they worked to the same professional and high standards. We had two nice brand-new bathrooms after about 6 weeks. It was a very pleasant experience working with Armando and his team. He went above and beyond to make sure we have the new bathrooms we like. I can't wait to have Armando back for more projects around the house. I mean, where should I really even start? It was an epic 8 week long journey to remodel and renovate our entire home with Armando and ARC Construction & Remodeling. First off, he is very professional and a great person to work with. Allow him to take the lead and he will let you know if he needs any additional support from you with regard to providing materials or anything else. He is well connected and knows many highly skilled individuals that helped him with the work along the way. We had the entire home re-floored with laminate flooring wall-to-wall and in the bathrooms porcelain tile. They started the remodeling on the second story and worked their way downstairs. We had our stairways customized with a white face for a bolder look. All our bathroom showers and tubs were remodeled as well and had custom frameless glass doors added as well as new vanities and mirrors. The crown jewel of the entire project was the new kitchen which included new cabinets and countertops along with 3 hanging pendent lights and a ceramic tile backsplash. There was also retrofit LED lighting installed throughout the house. These are most of the things Armando did for us. He made the process as easy as possible for us to deal with since we were still living in the home while the renovating was going on. He is a great communicator and keeps his word. Very responsive to text messages and phone calls that you make to him. If he says he will do something you can count on him to do it. He is upfront with all the charges as well in the contract. If there needs to be changes made he is very flexible to make them. He has a contractors license with the CA state board that you can verify as well. It was a great experience to work with Armando and I most highly recommend him for your home remodeling project big or small. We recently used ARC for our full house remodel (2,400+ sf; 5 bed/3 bath) which included updates/renovations to every square inch of our house and structural work in the kitchen. Armando was wonderful to work with and, overall, turned our house into exactly what we had been dreaming of since we bought the house 4 years ago. Armando and his team did all the demo work. My husband and I picked out and purchased all the materials and Armando and his team completed the installation. Armando also helped with picking up larger materials that we couldn't fit into our car. Armando had great suggestions along the way. He works hard and moves very quickly, which is always appreciated while living in a construction zone. Armando also does his own electrical and plumbing work, and he provided referrals for the jobs that his scope of work did not include (fireplace remodel, shower glass and stair railing replacement). His tile sub, Edin, did a wonderful job with the subway tile in all three of our showers. The only suggestion we have for others would be to research your own cabinet supplier if you are going with custom cabinetry as ours lack in quality. The communication with the cabinet makers was very disjointed and certain details that we wanted weren't understood clearly. Are you having a hard time choosing a contractor to have some work done on your house? Are you overwhelmed and don't even know where to start? That's exactly how we felt! We actually had a couple contractors lined up but after they ghosted us, we frantically went to Yelp. ARC was a last minute Hail Mary call and we're so glad we made the call. Luckily, they had an opening and Armando came out the next day to give us an estimate and we immediately noticed the difference. Right away you can tell he knew what he was doing just by the detailed questions he would ask that no other contractors asked us. He jumped right in to tight crawl spaces to check out the situation vs. other contractors who didn't want to get their clothes dirty. Everything we requested to have done including additional work we threw at them, ARC delivered. They came on time and worked late. The house was clean and tidy every day they were done working. We were busy at work and Armando automatically texted us updates on the house without us asking. Other reviews talked about how fast and efficient ARC was and we totally agree. Every night we stopped by the house to be amazed by how much they got done. Key highlights: 1. ARC is not the cheapest, nor are they the most expensive. Their estimate was mid-range but they were transparent and very thorough with an itemized estimate. There were no surprises. 2. A+ for communication. Armando is super personable and was always reachable and we never had to wonder what the status/update was. 3. His crew was friendly, respectful, and tidy. 4. They were very fast and efficient, and actually finished earlier than the projected timing. So if you're still on the fence, give ARC a call today to see if they can help you out! read more
