If you have been looking for a contractor to complete renovations but they've either been a) unresponsive, or b) proven to be untrust worthy whether its because they are up charging or flat our lying to you, I have great news for you. Your search for a great contractor is over. If this is your first stop during your search, consider yourself lucky. If you don't believe me, continue your search and I am 100% certain you'll end up right back here. From my experience, I've found that dishonest contractors will start to become unresponsive when you ask specific questions regarding why you are being charged what you are being charged. Its mostly because they will benefit when the customer is in the dark. However, honest contractors have absolutely no issue being transparent with you and that is exactly the type of contractor Jean is. My experience with Jean and his team was absolutely amazing throughout my entire project from start to finish. My project: I had existing tile countertops that I wanted to replace with quartz. I wanted a bookmatched waterfall with full kitchen backsplash, and I wanted my ponywall to be cut down to counter height grade and extend my counter to have an overhand to allow for seating. However, I had 2 electrical outlets on my ponywall that I needed to have rerouted. With the remaining quartz material I wanted to replace the coutners tops in both my guest bathroom and main bathroom (I'll include before and after pictures so you can see for yourself). I'd also like to give shout out to the guy I ran into at MSI for putting me in contact with him Jean. My goodness!! Jean and his team were absolutely phenomenal. If I ever plan on doing future renovations whether it be with my existing property or a future one, he's my guy. Prior to renovation, my kitchen was a nightmare: 1. To operate the oven, I had to use pliers because the knob had melted off 2. The pantry did not provide enough storage because it was too shallow 3. The sink perimeter was obviously rusted, and 4. The island's surface wasn't large enough because it was a bilevel Island. Jean Germani and his crew started demolition on February 7 and the remodel was 95% complete on February 14. It would have been 100% done if the cooktop was not dented (due to a manufacturer's defect) and had to be returned. At my request, Francisco, the granite guy, agreed to install all the granite countertops except for that surrounding the cooktop. He agreed to return when the replacement cooktop was on-site. All the tradesmen were very prompt, skilled, professional, friendly, and cleaned up after themselves. Mr. Germani gave us a detailed line item estimate, was very easy to contact and work with, was gifted at design, was very knowledgeable about every step in the remodeling process, and was very patient with us. In addition, when a few touch ups were needed to make it absolutely perfect, he promptly arranged to have our needs addressed and personally came over to make sure that everything was done to our satisfaction. I opted to have prefabricated cabinets but added a few custom cabinets. I now have my dream kitchen which looks like a custom gourmet kitchen. For these reasons, we highly and wholeheartedly recommend Jean Germani's Kitchen and Bath Design Center. Additionally, we especially commend Francisco, the granite guy, who discovered that the sink had a crack in it, located a very similar (& cheaper) one from Lowe's, and drove me to pick it up before installing the replacement. Prior to awarding the work, we solicited competing quotations from several contractors, and Jean was the only contractor who provided a true lineitem bid, and he provided the best, most comprehensive price. During the course of the work, Jean offered many excellent design suggestions (which we gladly incorporated into our remodel), he provided continuing feedback & addressed our questions, and he was frequently present to keep an eye on the work in progress. Jean manages teams of experienced craftsmen, with specialists for each trade- tile installation, fabrication of stone countertop, design & installation of glass shower enclosure, cabinetry, electrical, painting, plumbing & demolition. Jean's craftsmen carefully protected my existing flooring in the house during the work, cleaned up at the end of each day, and were very honest (my remodeled bathroom is upstairs in my house, and we left a housekey & alarm code with Jean, so his teams could come & go, depending upon the work being done that day). I must admit. We are new to the world of contractors and we're feeling nervous of hiring one. We received two quotes from others, but neither of them seemed confident in the estimate including everything or able to accommodate the precision we required in laying in materials. Then we found this place. It is a hidden gem tucked away among the State College Blvd. businesses. We wanted to remodel our 3 foot by 3 foot shower, and we came upon Jean Germani here. He has an array of materials and many references with photos of his work. Some of his custom tiling and iron work would make the architects of the Taj Mahal jealous! Very South County feel and designs for the the most sophisticated! We thought to ourselves, we can never afford him! However, his pricing is very affordable and after receiving two prior quotes for the project from other contractors, we went with Jean who not only had the best price but the confidence we were seeking. He was cordial, helpful, and no pressure. With his expertise, he was able to enlarge our shower area from a 3 x 3 to a 3 x 6 with bench for nearly the same price. We had no idea we could utilize the space provided in the attached closet. After an itemized estimate, we immediately hired him and he started the project in two weeks. The gentlemen took care to prepare and clean up daily causing no disturbance to the household, and the craftsmanship of the preparation and tile laying was exceptional. He and his crew finished in a week and what we got surpassed anything we could imagine! The bathroom is absolutely gorgeous! We have absolutely no regrets and consider the bathroom to be the best investment we made. We plan to use Jean Germani in the future for other projects, as well! read more

Jean is the nicest guy EVER!!! I chose quartz for countertops and I have no seams on the side of my island or countertops. The seam in the corner of the kitchen looks FABULOUS!!! You can't even tell it's there and he matched the seam to the other piece of the quartz. (The circle in the design is where it's matched) It looks amazing!! There is no seam along the side of the countertop either. I have had so many compliments. He is so helpful and kind and knows you are spending a lot of money and want your work to be done right.
