You always hear stories about people choosing contractors based on the lowest price--and ending up with nightmare results. Well, we did exactly that three years ago. What was supposed to be a six-month home addition turned into a two-year ordeal, and we're still dealing with unfinished details. Do yourself a favor: don't shop based on price alone. Focus on quality. Do your research on who you hire, or you'll end up paying far more in the long run--financially and emotionally. This time around, we needed to remodel our kitchen, and we approached things very differently. We interviewed multiple contractors over the course of a year, taking our time to find the right fit. Then we met Emad from Kitchen Cabinets and Beyond--and after a short conversation at his showroom, we knew he was our guy. He was completely transparent and forthcoming--a genuinely honest person. Sometimes you can just tell when you're dealing with someone you can trust. From that moment on, we knew we were in good hands for our kitchen project. What impressed us the most was that the same feeling we had about Emad was reflected in every single member of his crew. Each person who came into our home was professional, respectful, and paid close attention to every detail. The project was completed within the promised timeline. Not only that, they even took on additional work during the process and still delivered on schedule. Thank you again, Emad. We couldn't be happier with the results. We only wish there were more honest and reliable contractors like you out there. read more

Let me start by saying that we are absolutely in love with our new kitchen thanks to KCB... We were honestly nervous about starting another project after having such a terrible experience before with a different contractor, but working with Emad completely changed that for us. From our very first meeting, he took the time to listen carefully and offered thoughtful ideas that really helped shape the design of our kitchen. Throughout the project, he brought in a team of true professionals who delivered excellent workmanship. The quality, attention to detail, and overall execution exceeded our expectations. We're so grateful we found someone we could trust, and we couldn't be happier with the final result. read more

We had KCB remodeled our bathroom and all went very well, Emad and his crew were very professional and helped us by advising us the entire remodeling process, even months after they were done they came and replaced one of the drain because corroded - great service! We are very happy that we chose Kitchen Cabinets and Beyond for our bathroom renovation. We feel fortunate to have had Emad working as our General Contractor. Our new beautiful bathroom is now all that we envisioned it could be. We are enjoying this amazing transition and want to thank all of the hard workers of Kitchen Cabinets and Beyond that contributed. read more

We met with a ton of contractors but Emad was the best at understanding what we need and didn't try to over sell us on things we weren't quite sure of. I appreciate his honesty about not extending our kitchen to the living room area because it would look awkward. He is very detailed and thorough on explanation of how the entire project would unfold. He made sure we were happy (especially me because I am very particular with everything) with every detail and were always willing to make changes to ensure we are happy. Anyone looking for a good honest contractor should look no further. Thank you Emad! read more

We remodeled a few things in the house besides the Kitchen. We had picked out other companies from referrals,, and later found out KCB does everything. It was stressful dealing with many different contractors, Emad's crews are good and I think his price is competitive. When I called him with issues, Emad would stop by next day to check and calm me down. His cabinet installer is excellent. read more

We had a complete Kitchen Remodel designed and installed by KCB. Overall we were very pleased with the outcome. The kitchen cabinets, Island as well as the refinishing of an existing built-in unit to match the new kitchen cabinet color all look great. The kitchen footprint remains similar, however our ideas in partnership with Emad (the owner) resulted in significant modification to the cabinet layout and enhanced the look of the kitchen. All the installers (Cabinetry(Ahmed), Electrician(Sean) and the Quartz installers were easy to work with and professional. The only area that needs some improvement is the communication with Emad. He is very busy and we often had to repeatedly leave messages to find out timing with materials or installers. Overall we give KCB a five star rating. read more

I strongly recommend hiring Kitchen Cabinets and Beyond. If I needed a remodel or if I was building a home from the ground up, they would be my first and only call. My wife and I were delighted to find Kitchen Cabinets and Beyond to remodel our home. Emad Kaloub, KCB's owner - is a true professional. He's also a consultant, a contractor, a problem solver, and an all-around great guy. Emad took the time to listen and make sure he fully understood our needs. Most importantly, he respected our budget and worked hard to keep us within his original cost estimate. During our remodel, Emad never tried to upsell us. The products he carries in his store or the ones he recommends sell themselves. If anybody was responsible for any cost overruns, it was us. After all, who doesn't want a gorgeous home? That's what Emad Kaloub delivers. Emad's team of experts helped deliver his promise. They are craftsmen who know their trades well. Emad's employees are professionals who work hard to execute their client's vision and make sure the job gets done right and on time. They are loyal and friendly and have worked with Emad for many years. His employees were always respectful to us and our home. They took great care to protect our home from unnecessary dirt or damage. Emad's crew cleaned up the job site at the end of each day. We also found them trustworthy, and we never worried about having them inside our home. To ensure we were satisfied with the work being done and that the job was running smoothly, Emad would periodically stop by to survey the work. Emad kept the job moving and communicated with us throughout, always accepting or promptly returning our calls. If there was a problem with a product or service, he gladly sent his team to fix the problem. As a design consultant, Emad understands the synergy between his products and interior design concepts. He always listened to our ideas when changes were necessary during the project. If we ignored his advice about design changes, Emad gladly made them for us and had the integrity to admit if something we wanted worked better than expected. We truly enjoyed our experience with KCB and Emad Kaloub, and we're pleased with the outstanding remodel he worked with us to create. If you were to ask me if there was a difficult part of the remodel, I would have to answer - the completion. We were always glad to see Emad and his crew, and we miss them coming to work at our home each morning. In summary, Kitchen Cabinets and Beyond was the right company for our job. You won't find a more honest contractor than Emad Kaloub. Kitchen Cabinets and Beyond would be a good fit for anyone seeking a professional company to perform a home remodel. We highly recommend Kitchen Cabinets and Beyond for those looking to update their home or business and we can't wait to have them back again. read more

We had a great experience with KCB doing our kitchen remodel. We are 100% happy with the result. The project started with Oscar, the drywaller & painter. Oscar took real pride in his work. Multiple times, he performed work beyond his scope simply because he wanted the overall area to be perfect. Next it was Ahmed, the cabinet installer. It was really nice to have our cabinets installed by a cabinet maker instead of merely a cabinet installer. We had a couple of special requests for cabinet details, and Ahmed happily provided those. Manny the countertop guy constructed a number of nice details, including: 1) well-placed, tight joints, 2) perfect cutouts for the backsplash outlet boxes, and 3) a backsplash cap/window sill complete with dog ears at the ends. Finally, the tile guys, led by Martin, were very helpful in getting the right color installed for our accent wall backsplash. KCB began work on the day they had promised, and were done in just over 4 weeks, under Steve's direction. Steve, our designer/project manager, was helpful in a number of ways: He was easy-going, funny & easy to work with. About a week before the start of construction, Steve came by for a pre-job meeting. Steve took all the time needed to review all the details, making sure we were on the same page with everything. Steve came by again on the 1st day of construction, giving us another chance to review the fine points. Because Steve was both the designer and the project manager, during construction he remembered exactly all the details previously agreed to, and passed this on to the workers. Throughout the project, from conception to finish, Steve offered good ideas to improve our project that we hadn't thought of, for example the backsplash cap and adding an offshoot water line for a future icemaker. Steve accommodated our requests, instead of vice versa as some contractors & project managers do. His objective was to give us a project we'd be happy with. There were zero change orders to our project. read more

KCB did a wonderful job with our remodel. They extended our house, removed interior walls, and installed a brand new kitchen. They helped us navigate the entire design process, including taking care of all the city permit process. They were truly a one stop shop. The entire staff (Steve was our main contact) was incredibly professional, friendly, efficient, and very good at what they do. We looked at several contractors but KCB had both quality AND value and none of the other places we interviewed even came close. We liked them so much that we called them back to do our bathroom. We would definitely recommend! read more

We had been talking about doing a kitchen reno for a couple of years and finally decided to it and so happy we did! We obtained a few quotes and made the easy decision to go with Emad and KCB. Not only did they have an option to purchase high quality cabinets made in the U.S., they were less expensive, timely (as timely as a company could be under pandemic circumstances) and very responsive. Emad has really talented and hard working people at KCB and we couldn't have asked for a better team to work on our project. Yes, the cabinets took longer than we'd hoped but that was not unexpected - everything takes longer these days. The key is to have patience and not expect it all to be done now. The quality of the cabinets, hardware and the work were the best and having been back in the kitchen for a month now, I love it more every day! read more

We used KCB to update our kitchen and bathroom. Emad was a pleasure to work with and I appreciated his expertise throughout the entire process. He is very patient, really cares to make sure you get what you want, and kept in good communication after the renovation to make sure everything was up to standards. I would definitely recommend KCB to all my friends and I plan on using them for future renovations. read more

Emad and his crew did an excellent job tailoring our kitchen cabinets to a newly renovated kitchen layout. They successfully matched a color of paint that was not "standard" and the results are outstanding. Their countertop and backsplash installation work is excellent. He and his installation staff are particularly customer focused and responsive to the customer's questions and concerns. The quality of the materials and installation are excellent. We love our new kitchen and would not hesitate to recommend them for a similar project. read more

In the middle of have our bathroom remodel by another company, We find out that they could not customize a vanity the way we wanted and need it. Therefore, we contacted Emad, and he was only to happy to help us. He customized an 80 inch vanity with counter top and sinks( three or four inches taller than the previous one). Also, he sent one of his guys to help us raise the light switches and medicine cabinet when the company we were using wanted a lot of money to do this when it should have been covered in the price we were paying them. Because Emad did a fantastic job, communicated with us and helped us in our time of need, we will certainly use him and his company for our future remodels and upgrades. read more

I would highly recommend Kitchen Cabinets & Beyond. This company is professional and possesses a huge amount of integrity. From plan development to the remodel completion the project moved along very well and timely. The quality of work was amazing. We have all heard horror stories about remodeling companies but I can assure you that KCB is the one company that you can rely on and have complete confidence that the project will completed with superb results. read more

We did a total kitchen remodel from KCB and we were very happy with the process and result. Our main designer, Greg, was extremely knowledgeable and diligent, and always cheerful and pleasant. He did a fantastic job with the project management. All of the KCB tradesmen were skilled and always pleasant to have in our home. They were always neat and cleaned up after each day's work. Greg gave us a lot of support in selecting our countertop stone, and the stone cutter came with us to select slabs, to ensure we were getting highest quality material. Everything was finished perfectly. Greg cheerfully came by a few months later to replace a drawer face we weren't happy with and to adjust some of the cabinet doors. We were very happy with Greg and KCB. read more

We were looking to remodel the whole kitchen and while searching for the right group to take on the challenge, we ended up picking Kitchen Cabinet & Beyond and by far it was the the best decision. They were alongside us through the entire detail and designing process. They were incredibly patient with us and gave us exactly what we wanted. The entire job was done swiftly and so well, and to this day, the results are still as if it's brand new and I still get compliments on the work done and who is responsible for the work. Not only did they cover the kitchen, but the job was done so well we went to them to make our very own built in media console and just like before, it was simply incredible. Now, I'm back with them and had them remodel our bathrooms. The entire design process and actual physical remodeling ended up being done in less than 2 weeks and the only regret I have is not having made a review sooner. This is our second time remodeling with Kitchen Cabinets & Beyond and we will definitely continue to use them. Installation was quick, both the cabinets and countertop for the primary bathroom cabinets. Emad has wonderful design ideas and is good at giving us options so that both my husband and I are happy with our cabinets. Started off really good. Went and picked out a bathroom cabinet for our master bathroom. Pretty painless picking out what we wanted and ordering. Problem starts when I call to see where the cabinet is at after the 4-6 week estimate had passed. They said they had it. Good thing we weren't waiting for it on the job. Next upon unboxing the cabinet, there were plenty of defects that needed to get fixed and or replaced. Emad handled ordering the replacement parts and all of that. But once again never got a phone call on where that stuff was at. I called numerous times and left messages and never received return phone calls. So finally the last straw was just after Christmas, mind you I ordered the cabinet in August, I go to the store and asked emad where my replacement piece was at. And once again said it's in the back. And once again I never got a phone call. And it was the wrong replacement. So he said it would be another 2-3 weeks to get the new piece. Fast forward to yesterday I went to the shop again. Emad said they had the piece and that it been there for about 10 days. Once again no phone call and 3 months later. Do not expect good customer service on being kept updated on what's going on. You have to stay on top of him. With that being said and a 7 month process for getting what we paid for we have decided not to use them for our kitchen remodel. Don't know how he expects people to be waiting around for him especially on pretty significant projects. Check the poor reviews that aren't posted on the main page. Looks like a pattern of poor service. read more

We used Kitchen Cabinets and Beyond to remodel our living, dining, and family rooms. We wanted hardwood flooring in the living and dining area, put up wainscoting, reface our fireplaces, and have mantles built for both areas. Emad came to our home to discuss what we wanted. He worked with us to help choose materials and the look we wanted. We met with him and his cabinet maker, Ahmed several times to narrow down exactly what we wanted in the custom wainscoting and mantles. It was very much appreciated that they took the time to make sure it was right before Ahmed constructed the wainscoting. For the living and dining area, we had a beautiful French oak herringbone pattern wood floor installed, beautiful custom wainscoting throughout the room and also wainscoting panels covering the old upper bricks on the wall of the fireplace to match. Beautiful marble refacing on the old brick fireplace itself, and a gorgeous custom mantle. The room was exactly what I wanted, and we're so happy. The room is gorgeous and lighter and brighter. We receive many compliments from friends and family. The family room fireplace also was refaced with a different marble, cut in smaller pieces that gave a different look from the living room, and Ahmed also made a custom mantle exactly how I wanted. I highly recommend Kitchen Cabinets and Beyond for any remodeling needs. Emad is great to work with, and Ahmed a talented craftsman and installer. read more

Apparently, we were his first clients that needed to remove a restroom! Yup, you heard it right! Our request was a bit difficult, so it was hard to get the right contractor that can take on such a unique project. However, Steve was able to take on our project. He also went out of his way to make sure that we understand what is going on with our first home renovation. The renovation went smoothly and everything was done on time for our upcoming house warming. Steve and his whole team's work were beyond our expectations. My wife and I were ready to remodel our somewhat dated kitchen, and we had visited several showrooms with KCB being on the list. After not being impressed with what we had seen, or turned off my high pressure sales people, we found KCB to be the one that fit all our requirements. Of course what really sets them apart was when we started working with Greg Leef. I am an Engineer who had done my homework before we started looking, and I'm a stickler to detail. Unlike several of the sales people we talked with, Greg actually knows his stuff and it showed. From helping us decide on the cabinets and appliances, to the electrical and flooring, his knowledge, experience and detail to the project stood out. All the craftsmen showed up when they were supposed too, were all very professional, and got their job done in a timely manner. Go to the other showrooms first, including the big box one across the street, then finish up at KCB and discuss your project with either Emad or Greg and see if I'm not right. read more

Company Did a wonderful job on remodeled kitchen and floors through out the house. I am very Happy with work and customer service.

Not normally a Yelp reviewer, but we had such a bad experience with this shop I felt I had to create an account to post. My parents had their kitchen cabinets and flooring done by this shop, and soon after the job was complete the flooring started to warp and buckle. It's understandable that problems happen in remodeling, but what you want is a contractor who will handle them with respect and professionalism -- neither of which we received from Emad (the owner). He was unresponsive and unhelpful, and treated us as a nuisance rather than a customer. We had to email and call him over and over for months just to get the simplest acknowledgment of a possible issue. He'd schedule calls with us and then blow them off, and make vague claims that he was following up with the materials supplier but not provide any actual information. It's now been almost 12 months, the warranty in the contract is about to expire, and we have no fix or even explanation for the problem. For what's it worth, the cabinets are good, but given our experience with the floors we hope that this review prevents others from having a similar experience. :( read more

We needed to get chemical resistant counter tops for our laboratory. Unfortunately, we need them quickly, to be ready for an audit. After some searching, we found KC&B. As promised, all 17 counter tops were manufactured and delivered within one week. I will say it again, 1 week. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication with the order so some of the tops were not the correct size. What impressed us the most was the response from KC&B. Trina reached out to us to let us know that the error will be rectified immediately and those tops will be redone at no cost to us. We thought that we'd have to wait a month or so to get those back but to our surprise, they were done within 1 week AGAIN! We received our new tops today and they fit PERFECTLY. We really appreciate KC&B effort to fix the problem and we'll definitely go to the them again for any of our future needs of the lab's casework. read more
