It was very easy and affordable to redo my kitchen cabinets with Rok. They have a huge selection of cabinets to look at in the store. I was looking for a gray beige cabinet. Luckily, one of the display kitchens in the store (style called Simple Sand Shaker) was exactly what I was looking for so it was really easy to visualize how a whole kitchen would look. I worked with Natalie on my project and she made the whole process from measuring, designing, buying, and installing the cabinets very easy. She was able to schedule somebody to come measure my kitchen very quickly. She was very patient and communicative as we finalized the kitchen design. The Rok products appear to be high quality and look great. They are simple to assemble and install. The finishes and styles are modern and there seems to be more precision in the design that allows for narrower spaces and gaps to give the cabinets a custom feel. Despite all that, I would not recommend using this business due to the poor communication and support from their customer service team. For example, if you need to get in touch with them you call the customer service line and reach a live person. However, this person has no ability to transfer you to the person you need to speak with. You need to leave a message and it's really inconsistent if you hear back. So, make sure you get a direct line for the person you're working with or you'll be playing phone tag. If there are mistakes on your order or you makes changes, be incredibly diligent in your communications with the team. Check and double check, because they will not check, verify, or communicate. In my specific case, we had design changes passed to us and it was not clear that anything should have changed. Rok apparently didn't have the correct box size/configuration for what we wanted and ended up changing the design and then flipping over the invoice to me without explicitly noting the change. Wouldn't be a problem normally, but I hadn't been involved in the design and had assumed it was approved by my wife (it had not been). When we raised the issue, we were told that Rok informed our contractor of the change and since we had already paid, they took that as approval. As a solution, they did say we could buy a new box. It's obvious communication wires got crossed, but the most disappointing thing was Rok's inability to take responsibility and work on a reasonable solution. We ended up modifying the cabinet ourselves (at additional expense), purchasing a drawer from a different cabinet maker (another expense, which they offered to cover after we called it out on final invoice) and then ordering the correct faceplate from Rok. Which, by the way, took almost a month to get to us (delayed completion of kitchen). All in all, good products and our kitchen looks great, but lowsy customer experience. Would not recommend working with this business. read more

The best way to find out what a company is about is to depend on them when you are in trouble. In July, my wife and I were flooded out of our condominium by a city sewer backup, and our small home became uninhabitable. Most of the time after a flood, you just dry out the premises to prevent mold and continue. But a "category 3" flood requires disposing of everything that's contacted filthy water. Our wallboard got torn out, our bathroom and hall cabinets removed and disposed of, and our carpet and vinyl flooring were removed by the restoration people and the underfloor sanitized. While restoration crews cleaned our unit over several weeks so we could return safely, we replaced whatever was "outside the walls". A friend recommended ROK Hardware. This past August we worked with Natalie Martinez, ROK's truly knowledgeable and capable Associate. Ms. Martinez walked us though processes of selecting countertops, cabinets, doors, drawers, knobs, closet systems and more. She was patient and caring and made a complicated and stressful process exciting. Ms. Martinez guided us to a plumber, an electrician, a countertop installer and a cabinet installer who are all outstanding. In fact, we've hired her plumber for repair and installation work beyond the scope of the replacement project. What a pleasure to be able to hire dependable, honest, hard-working people. Thanks in large part to Ms. Martinez's hard work and experience, we were able to move back into our condominium in early October and restart our normal lives. That's so important as lodging was expensive and we were missing our day-to-day lives. My wife and I took several of her cards and gave them to friends and neighbors, remodeling their homes. UPDATE: Sean has been very helpful. He addressed our past issues at the time we were having them. Since then, we had additional cabinet needs for hallway cabinets and he and the other lady in the store (forgot her name) were really helpful. We visited the store in early July. There were 2 customers sitting waiting to speak with an employee, so we decided to look around. After 30 minutes, we found a few things that we liked but still no one had helped us or the customers who were there before us. So, when I got home, I called their number to inquire how to get an estimate for cabinets. On July 11, I spoke with Ana. I emailed her all of the kitchen measurements, including a picture of the kitchen layout. On July 16, I sent a follow-up email since I hadn't heard anything from her in 5 days. On July 25, after 2 weeks of not hearing back from anyone from Rok hardware, I sent another follow-up email. A few minutes after the email I decided to call Rok Hardware and explain the situation. I specifically asked if I can speak to someone other than Ana due to the lack of response. I was still transferred to Ana, and she said someone (I don't remember who) was supposed to send me an estimate. She said she'll tell them again. It's been 3 days and still no quote. If I'm unable to get a quote after 17 days, 3 emails, and 2 phone calls...that's not good. read more
