Sometimes I just want to stay home on the weekend and do nothing. Even an extrovert needs a break. My husband said no! lol When he starts a project, there's no stopping him. "Well, if we're going to replace the toilet in here, we might as well rip this cheap flooring out that came with the condo and put in new tile..." This lead to a new mirror, sink, fixtures, a new countertop, a new tub, etc So he again puts me to work on a weekend and said use your Yelp elite skills and find us a place to go. I said well, we live by the mile of tile... but I do my research anyways. TBH - the first time we walked in, I didn't get the warm and fuzzies. I mean I don't want to be stalked while shopping but, I do want to be acknowledged esp since we had questions. Anyways, we ended getting help from Ana and it's been great since. My husband is in charge of this project so he mostly deals with the contractor, our vendors, etc There's plenty of variety to choose from and besides Ana, we had been helped by others when she's not there. I went in last week right before closing. They still had quite a few people shopping in their full, beautiful showroom. I had just enough time to walk the entire store, & ask a sales gal a few questions about a bathroom vanity. She didn't rush me at all, she helped/ answered my questions honestly, & even walked me to a few displays to show me some different pieces & countertop choices. She gave me her card & I was pleased that she wasn't rushing me & she wasn't a pushy salesperson. I went back in yesterday, after doing a little more research. I'm not sure if it's cuz it was the Sat before Easter or just a Sat, but they had donuts, charcuterie, champagne with berries, & water. The place was bustling! I was ready to purchase 2 vanities & Johana was still not pushy lol! She went through all the options (handles, bowl shape, countertop, etc.); since she knew I had some time to spare, she offered to make me a fresh cup of iced coffee - thank you, Johana! We first went in a couple of months ago looking at flooring. We were greeted by Johana who showed genuine interest in our project and gave us the very helpful suggestion to select our cabinets first and then shop for flooring. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, and we were out shopping for the countertops. We went to 4 different slab yards and showrooms to look at countertops, and no one showed any effort or willingness to talk to us or help us. I suggested to my husband we go back to Bodega. When we walked back in, Johana was there again, and immediately welcomed us and remembered us from the very brief encounter from a couple months before. She was excited to help us, ran all over the showroom pulling different options for us, showing us what the various materials would look like together. We were able to select our countertops and floors and had a good idea for shower tile, but I was stuck on kitchen backsplash options. She showed me so many options, but never any pressure. We left the first day excited with what we found, but not pressured to make any decisions or purchase anything that day. We came back the next weekend and finalized our choices, we had an estimate the next day, provided the square footage we needed for each item, the estimate was updated and 2 days after finalizing our selections, we have ordered and paid for our kitchen and bathroom flooring, countertops and tile. I am so excited to see it all installed. I cannot stress how helpful Johana was. She did not try to upsell us at any point, she instead tried to save us money where possible and warned against some of the more expensive materials I was looking at because they would not hold up well in the spaces we were considering them for. She was so knowledgable and made the experience fun. We went to so many showrooms up and down tile mile and beyond, and I would not recommend any other stores other than Bodega. read more

So my husband and I came here took look at flat panel cabinets for a kitchen remodel. We had read reviews and they seemed like a great choice for us since we were wanting something a little higher end and felt confident this was the place. Wonderful display of products and large selection as we looked around we asked to speak to someone in cabinet design and were greeted by Sal Zuniga who spent next hour looking over our kitchen design plans that were already drawn out for him. He mentioned he has done several homes in San Clemente and showed us photos of past projects ... we look at samples and I picked out a cabinet that I loved and we told him we were ready to go on with project. He took copies of plans and said he would price and get back to us the next day we were there on Friday 2/23/24. I waited until Tuesday and left a message ... no call I called again on Thursday and this time talked to a girl explaining our situation and she said he was in a meeting and would call us back ... again no call. Today is 4/29/24. Still no call I guest I got ghosted ... WOW so I get it there was a convention in LV that was more important but never to call back no interest ... not cool not good ... "Poor" best describes our experience with Bodega Style. We experienced the following: 1. A late/incorrect delivery that had to be corrected with second a run. Poor as well as inaccurate customer service. 2. Owner stated as per a recorded phone call that his responsibilities ended at his backdoor. "Deliveries were not his responsibility" despite having an incorrect delivery in the first place. 3. Driver forced my Spanish speaking mother-in-law to sign a document that she couldn't read upon delivery. "Not my fault that she doesn't speak or read English" as per a recorded phone call with the owner. 4. $190 pallet fee. 5. $374.12 "energy surcharge fee." 6. $350 delivery fee. 7. Total incremental "fees" @ $914.12 for a $9,979.19 purchase. CA taxes not included. 8. A product return was refused by the owner after repeated attempts by our former contractor. @5blox 9. And, finally, the driver stole our pallet despite being charged for the pallet. Owner refused to address/refund monies owed. I recommend against utilizing this firm. read more

I will start off by saying they have a great tile selection. As An interior designer they have a large variety to choose from all in one space to order from. With that being said I worked with the sales Rep Joanna who was quite terrible. I had to keep following up with her to get my quote, to get the estimate, to get the link to pay for the estimate, to get a delivery date it was beyond ridiculous having to get on her to complete her job. There was a lack of communication on not being able to deliver the timeline given to me for the pick up of my tile. When I went to place another order for additional tile I again had to keep asking for a date to pick up. The day we were going to pick up the remaining tile we called in to speak to her to get an update to confirm the tile was in so the same thing did not happen again of having a pick up date and it being incorrect. When we finally got a hold of her, she came onto the phone and was extremely unprofessional and proceeded to say your tile is ready and you got me in trouble. She pause the phone and we asked what did you mean by that, and she ignored the question and said the tile is ready and hung up. I don't know why she thought that was appropriate as a buyer or a vendor, but it was completely unacceptable. Upon picking up the tile we did notify the manager who was working and expressed that it was wrong and rude to accuse us of getting her in trouble. This is a business and professional, setting, not high school they should train their employees to conduct business likewise. I would not recommend this place due to the unprofessionalism. read more
