We bought our tile and had them install the tile as well. The installation was the absolute best experience. I needed to delay things due to some personal issues and they worked with me on the scheduling. Our installers were Lalo and Carlos and they did a beautiful job. With other companies in the past I have had to come in and have them redo things and they did not need my help at all. They were very patient with all of my questions and cleaned up after themselves every single day. The tile and floorboards are level and there are no gaps. I am back I am back purchasing wood floors from the store, because I know the quality is exceptional, and they have not only a large variety of options, but also great advice that they provide to their customers. My first project a few months ago, was for my two bathrooms. I had searched stone in various places, when someone recommended this, I was happy to see how many options in grade display they had. Unsettling Experience with Sales Rep Tom N. I had a very uncomfortable and puzzling experience at this store, particularly with sales representative Tom N. I checked out one small flooring sample (approximately 5 sq ft) and filled out the required sample checkout form. Tom insisted on taking my credit card information as collateral, stating that I would be charged $75 if the sample wasn't returned. I offered to pay $5 in cash instead, but he declined, insisting on having the card details. When I asked how my information would be stored, he said it would be kept in a locked drawer--something I found concerning in 2025, given expectations around data privacy and security. Reluctantly, I provided the card and left the store. Just a few minutes later, I received a phone call from Tom asking if I had taken his pen. I checked and realized I had unintentionally walked out with it. He told me it was a new pen that a customer had given him and asked that I return it with the sample. My daughter and I were stunned. It was a basic branded promotional pen--something typically handed out for free. The pettiness of the request was baffling and, frankly, off-putting. We decided immediately that we didn't want to continue any further business. We returned to the store and gave the sample back. I asked for the original checkout form I had signed, but Tom handed me a different customer's form. I pointed out the mistake, especially since this incorrect form showed multiple samples being checked out without any payment details or card information recorded--unlike mine, which had a $75 penalty noted. When I identified my actual form on his desk and took it back, Tom appeared visibly unsettled. The inconsistency in how forms were being managed raised serious questions for me. I can't help but feel that I may have been treated differently due to my race, which left me with a very uneasy feeling. This experience was disappointing and disheartening, and I would not recommend doing business here. read more

The warehouse is nice with lots of styles. A good place to start your project for ideas. It can be overwhelming. Prices are good, but not the best if you shop around. This 3 star review is more on the floor installation, 2 years later. In 2020, during the peak of the pandemic, we had a slow kitchen leaked from the dishwasher that ruined the hardwood floor and the dry wall in that area. We had to remove part of the hardwood floor that is near the sink and dishwasher due to mold. We had a quote with Costco for their Shaw floors. It was a good price with the Costco rebates. We ended up buying the Shaw vinyl floor through State College Distributor and having their men install it. Since vinyl planks are considered "floating floors," you can put it on top of the existing floor. Saving money on demoing. That was a plus for us. They are also known to be truly water resistant and can handle scratches. In fact, a worker named Bill told us that the floors at Disneyland are vinyl. The installation went great. The floor was beautiful. Being a perfectionist, I noticed some minor flaws, but I let it go. Otherwise, people will hate working with me. Since we do not wear shoes in the house, I can "feel" the flaws near the area that had the hardwood floor removed from the mold. That area didn't have any hardwood for the vinyl to be "floating" on, so they had to plywood under. The plywood they put in was not thick enough to match the level of the existing hardwood. On bare feet, I can feel the slope of the vinyl if I'm standing at the edge. I was not sure if this would have made a big impact on the floor, so I kept my mouth shut since I didn't want them to remove all the planks and redo it. 2 years later, while vacuuming, I noticed the chip. Not sure what happened. Our house only have 2 adults and 1 child living in it. We don't cook often since the pandemic so the kitchen does not get used that often. Did the uneven level of floor degrade the integrity of the plank? I thought it was supposed to be strong. A cordless Dyson isn't strong enough to do that. I thought it was supposed to last a long time. When my husband reached out to State College Distributor, they quoted $500 to fix that plank and maybe more if they needed to do more. We were surprised by the steep price, esp if they were going to cut out the damage piece and glue another one in (we have extra planks). We were about to make an appointment for them to come out and fix it. I reached out to a friend. Her boyfriend was a contractor. He told me that the price was too expensive. It should be half of that price or less. My friend's boyfriend doesn't charge cheap either. We ended up not booking the appointment. We will find someone else, but that left a very bad taste in my mouth with State College Distributor. We thought they would back up their work and take care of their customers. read more

This is the second time I've been here. The first experience was good. The second and most recent experience was horrible. We walked around the showroom for 30 minutes. Finally we came across someone that seemed like he was interested in helping us. Only 2 minutes later he told us to walk over to another section of 14 employees talking to each other. I asked if someone could help us. I explained what I was looking for and showed him a photo. He basically took 5 minutes, showed us 4-5 samples all in a row next to each other and told me he was going back to the counter and to come get him if we had more questions.
