Remodeled my kitchen and fell in love with a particular quartz, was only able to locate it at Stone Age, unfortunately they are very pricey and I was put off by the fact that two of the sales men kinda argued a little because we dealt with one a few months prior, and then were dealing with a new one the second time around. Left there and went across the street to the Slab Yard where I met Walter and all I can say is he took great care of me. They had the exact same quartz that Stone Age said they only carried because they had a connection to the manufacturer and Walter got me a better price. Walter set up his fabircator Sam to come out to my house a few days later and in less than a week from meeting Walter I had the quartz in my kitchen installed. They did an amazing job! My kitchen looks like it belongs in a model home in Newport Coast. Installer Miguel let me come out and see the template before they did any cuts on the quartzite. I picked out the granite for my remodeled kitchen on a Fri. Took hubby back the next day for his approval. Gave Walter the down payment. Took my sink to the store on Mon afternoon and the granite was installed on Thursday. Doesn't get any better than that! The crew installed my counter tops and a 4 x 6 table top. read more

I had such a disappointing experience after having heard good things from this company. I had my counter tops installed with back splash. Installation of the actually counter tops went well, however I was informed that a different day needed to be scheduled for back splash. It would have been nice if I was told what typically occurs during installation (time line). When it came time to install back splash and the guys arriving at my place to install it 2 days later, I was informed I did not have ENOUGH TILE. I had to go back to the store to pick up 2 more boxes ( I was not informed of this earlier). When discussing prices on installation , I was indecisive as I had other companies quote me cheaper. I decided to go ahead and have the guys install back splash. At this time they were waiting for me to bring the 2 extra boxes of tile I had to pick up from the slab yard. When I arrived home (thinking they had already started) , the workers were gone as they were told from salesman, Mario that I decided against the back splash. This was a PURE RESULT OF POOR COMMUNICATION between salesman and installation guys. So now I had to wait another day to get back splash installed because they had left for another job. I gave 2 stars because the men who installed the back splash did a great job, however did leave several scratches on my new flooring. Overall, quite dissapointed in the customer service. When also mentioning my compliant, I received no call back or apologies. They just wanted the money. read more

I worked with Ruben at The Slab Yard to order new granite for my kitchen. He was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. He was even fairly funny & entertaining. He personally came to my house the very next day and took the measurements finding that I needed less granite than originally expected by the measurements I had taken. This was a pleasant surprise. The prices were so reasonable that I also had them do my bar area. I really like that they have such a vast inventory onsite. The granite has since been installed and looks great. Their install team is very courteous and does quality work in a timely manner. I would highly recommend The Slab Yard to anyone in the market for tile or stone slabs. read more

He was great to deal with in that he was patient and wanted for us to select the right choices for our project, which brought a level of comfort.
