The fall of 2024 we spent over 2 months, every weekend and many weekdays visiting all the stone slab yards in the Anaheim area. We were starting to feel discouraged in not finding the right colors and pattern we were looking for in granite slabs. One day we stopped at Stone Age and talked to a salesperson - Patrick. I showed Patrick pictures of our granite bar counter at home and told him this is basically the color we are looking for. Patrick texted my pics to Rubin at MSI (a highly recommended stone slab yard company on Batavia St. in Anaheim). Within 1 day Rubin found the right granite slabs that we were looking for. Rubin found 2 matching large granite slabs that would be enough granite to do both our kitchen counters and backsplashes, and our master bathroom vanity counter. Rubin was great to work with. Patrick gave us a fair price to fabricate and install the new granite counters in our kitchen and bathroom. Alejandro is a master fabricator and installer. He did an excellent job in making templates of our kitchen and bathroom counters. Afterwards I met with Patrick and other Stone Age employees to place the templates on the granite slabs and decide where to cut the granite slabs to best showcase the patterns on the granite and how to maximize using as much of the granite as possible. Patrick did a good job in this and in being a good project coordinator in organizing our project. Patrick also recommended a name of a very good kitchen sink. We took his advice and purchased the sink. The sink is excellent. On demo day Alejandro, Julian, and Eduardo did a good job in demo'ing the existing counters and cleaning up the mess. On installation day, under Alejandro's leadership and strong work ethic, Alejandro, Julian, and Eduardo did an excellent job installing our new granite counters in our kitchen and bathroom. I made several suggestions to Alejandro in specific areas where I wanted him to make the plywood sub counter stronger in front of the kitchen sink to prevent breakage of the granite. I also made suggestions to Alejandro in making the mounting of the kitchen sink much stronger. Alejandro listened to me and did as I requested. We are extremely happy with our new granite counters in our kitchen and bathroom. It is worth mentioning again that Alejandro does excellent work. Stone Age did an excellent job in fabricating and installing our new granite counters at a fair price and completing the project on the date they promised. read more

My wife and I were in the market for some porcelain backsplash and the place has an excellent selection of full slabs, partial slabs and even tile work on the inside. Larry was the sales person who assisted us and was a great help. no pressure at all, we came and left at least 6 to 8 times and every time very helpful. Despite the bad experience with a specific customer service person (described in my first review), I went back to Stone Age in Jan 2025 since I could not locate the marble I had seen at the store elsewhere. This time I was fortunate to meet Joelle Khalil. She was very knowledgeable and worked with me over the next few months to procure high quality marble, porcelain tiles and hardwood for my bathroom and floor renovation at competitive prices. I appreciated her customer service a lot. She left Stone Age mid year; I was very glad that I got materials I needed before she left. Second time customer of Stonage like their work and products till now. Not recommending them any more. I bought a new set of kitchen counters in 2020 Cambria quartz (supposedly the best) had Stonage do a very high end bullnose on the counters -- looked amazing. Noticed the bullnose was chipping about 1.5 years after purchase, install. Did not consider calling Stonage but called today. Was told warrant is only 2 years. Looked up Cambria's warranty it is lifetime. Wow this sucks after spending in the roughly 20k on the counters I am let down by Stonage. Well lesson learned. 1. Buy cheap counters if something goes wrong you are not out of pocket a ton and can replace them. 2. Don't get taken in by an amazing showroom and product. They don't stand behind their work!! I was looking to replace some cracked stone tiles in my master bath put in by the previous owners and was driving all over Anaheim to the various tiles stores to find a match. Stone Age was great. While other stores were not that helpful because I was only looking to purchase five tiles, the staff at Stone Age were very helpful. My husband and I stopped in at Stone Age by pure chance on our way home from another store in Anaheim to look at their vanity options. I am so happy we did. We were helped by David. We ended up getting all our bathroom vanities and cabinets as well as quartz countertops for our bathrooms, kitchen and wet bar. This company never not communicated with me about when/who will be showing up. I had to reach out multiple times on when they will be showing up. I was given a timeline and now the job will take longer. Workers showed up 2+ hours before they were scheduled to, and then showed up 1 1/2 hours before they were scheduled to and both times were expected to be able to start work. I get show up 10 to 15 minutes early, but 1.5 and 2+ hours early is ridiculous. The workers went through my cabinets and when I let the company know, they basically said so what. They damaged my wall and said it's my responsibility to fix it. Tina and George just don't give a dam about the customer and do not like it when they are called out. Horrible business and horrible management. I won't even go into how much their employee Lawrence lied. When they sent the bill through the mail asking for the money, they are so cheap they didn't even have a return envelope so I can send the check back. read more

Really disappointed with our overall experience with Stone Age tile. My fiancé and I had chosen a beautiful porcelain piece for our countertops kitchen remodel. We were helped by Raphael who went over the initial process which was purchase the slabs, pay a deposit for fabrication and they would come out to measure, after measurement of the countertops they would contact us when the slabs were in and we would pick the layout of our countertops due to the variation of the piece, followed by the final installation. Everything seemed to be going well, we purchased the slabs, paid a deposit for fabrication and they came out and measured. On the day of measurement (Wednesday) I was sure to ask when we would be able to come out to complete the layout of our template on the slabs and was told approximately 10 business days. The next day (Thursday) we received a call from David at approximately 11am that we had an increase in square footage because we had chosen to add 2 bathroom vanities. In that phone call we stated that we would be in that coming Monday to complete the layout for our slabs. David said we can come in anytime just give him a heads up so our slabs would be ready to view. Not even 6 hours later did we receive a call from David that apparently there has been a miscommunication and "they have already cut both our slabs". Today we came in store to view the slab pieces that have already been cut without our permission as buyers and we are very displeased with what was chosen for us for our countertops. Although in many cases layout wouldn't matter, in our case as you can see in the picture below there is many variations in the piece that would be preferential and could make a difference in the overall kitchen look and layout. When discussing our overall dissatisfaction with their lack of communication and cut choices, they were apologetic and stated there must have been a miscommunication. we were then told to layout with our template what we would prefer on the showpiece. We worked with 3 different workers who agreed what we preferred over what was cut would work for our kitchen and was different from the pieces chosen for us. Later today we received a very aggressive & disgruntled call from Roger "CEO" which I only found out at the end of the call after asking whom I'm speaking with. He initially began with if we had proof of requesting to do a layout and that is assumed that in the industry "they know best and their choices are superior to ours" ..... we stated that multiple staff in the process of our purchase stated we would be a part of choosing the layout of our countertops due the variation of our pieces.... He continued to put the blame on us that this was only told "after" the slabs were cut and apparently the worker who came for the measurements told them "we didn't want to choose our layout for the countertops"... while the worker alejandro who came to measure was very pleasant and did a great job, his English was very broken and he could not appropriately answer many questions i had on site... so without confirmation they cut thousands of dollars worth of porcelain countertops without our permission... and as of now we're pending rectification ... as Roger said he had to speak with his sister. read more

I am hopelessly in love with my new kitchen countertop. Lacy was a peach to work with and showed me lots of options to chose from. She quoted me a price that was financially digestible. Ultimately, I selected a quartz that tickled my fancy. The guy that came to measure who was the same guy that came to install was super profesh. and nice. He and the other guy that came with him did a really nice job of installing and did not tear up my kitchen to do so. Unfortunately we've had bad results from Stone Age on 2 different projects. The first being our master bath. They used a laser to "template" instead of doing it by hand as they are supposed to do. They cut our pieces based on the laser measurements and when they came to install, they didn't fit. They had to comp us a new piece of stone to do it all over again, which took an extra few weeks before we could use our shower! Apparently the laser measurement was a new thing they were trying out and we were the gueniea pigs. The second issue is that when they installed the quartz countertop in our kitchen, they did not stabilize/support the sink properly and it is leaning toward the front causing cracking in the caulking between the sink and counter. Water gets up in this crack every time we do dished and drips onto the floor since the sink is leaning forward. I've emailed them about this as the dripping is ruining our cabinet and leaving big wet puddles after every sink use. Their response was this is "normal run-off that occurs when using the sink and washing dishes"...I've never had this issue before and had another installer take a look at it. I thought it was just the cracking in the caulking but he showed me how the sink actually moves up and down quite easily, so if you lead against the sink when doing dishes, as is common, the sink will start sinking forward, hence causing the drip. The wiggling of the sink is not normal and I think it's ridiculous they won't take accountability. My guy knew right away what the issue was and said the sink needs to be stabilized or this will continue to be an issue and the water leak could cause even more issues down the line. read more

Customer Service Stuck in Stone Age. Joe in the stone section was very polite and patient at first. He answered our questions, and I left him my number so he could send me more info. The next morning, someone in the cabinet section told him we already had some granite slabs. It's true. My mom and I were looking for additional slabs to match the ones we already had. We just didn't explain the whole scenario to the cabinet lady who we also talked to that day. The next morning, Joe sent me this angry text. Yelp won't let post the screenshot, but word for word, he said: "I'm a little disappointed you were wasting my time yesterday. My time is important for people that need it, not for people that waste people's time. Good luck with your project. I won't be answering any more questions for you." I apologized for the misunderstanding and explained we were still looking for granite. He responded: "I will delete your number now because I have nothing left to say." I got most of my kitchen remodel done by Stone Age, I will break down how it went down for each of the major sections, demo, cabinets and counter top. Sales/Contracting: Colline is a pleasure to work with and answers all you questions and listens to all you issues. She actually came out to the house again to see all the issues. Couple things that kind of annoyed us was she pressured us to get molding for the top of the cabinets and when it didn't work with our cabinets and couldn't be installed she couldn't give us a refund for them. I had to escalate it up to Chris the project manager to get a small credit. Also none of the work or cabinet prices are broken out, you get one price for ALL the cabinets and materials and one price for the demo AND installation, thus if there is issues or you want to contest pricing for work done you wont know how much because nothing is broken out ie didn't know how much to ask for the molding that were not used. Tawni, countertop sales, was easy to work with and she is also easy to reach. Stone Age has good sales people. Demo: You are better off finding someone else or doing it yourself. They make a mess and don't clean up after themselves. Also made 5 softball size holes in the wall by using the drywall as leverage to pull out the backsplash and cabinets. Finally they dented in my window framing which is not repairable, I had to just use plaster to build up the dent. All the damage is not their responsibility because in the contract it states they are not responsible for damage to the drywall. When I told the guy that they needed to remove the bottom window trim they responded it's the cabinet guy who removes it's the counter top guys that remove it., the counter top guys told me it's should have been done by the demo guys. I ended up removing the balance of the bottom window trim that wasn't removed by Jim the cabinet installer. Lastly when I told the guys to vacuum before they leave they said they don't do that even though I saw a shop vac in the truck. Due to the open bed type truck they were using and the carelessness, a few nails were left on my driveway to puncture my tires. Cabinets: Jim is a craftsman slow and steady and does thing the long way to make it look nice. He also spent a lot of time fixing things broken by the counter top template guys and the cabinet delivery/demo guys. He works alone so it takes some time but he cleans up after himself everyday. I got the Soliid Value Series cabinets, the materials used are good but the quality of the build is questionable thus lot of rework had to be performed by Jim. Unfortunately a few shelving was back ordered so Jim stated a new job until the shelving came in to finish my cabinets. Well this is were things went down hill again, Jim fell off a ladder at the other job and is in the hospital, Chris the project manager told me he will send the cabinet makers from the shop to finish up. Well these guys didn't install the shelves correctly, they didn't notice the shelves had miss-drilled holes and just forced the rails in; I ended up pulling out the shelving and drilling the holes. Again they did not vacuum or clean up the wood dust in every cabinet from drilling and installing the handles/pulls. Finally they touched up the scratches and dings from delivery and installations, which looked like my kids coloring, also for some reason they decided to test stray on my wall, its will be covered up by the back splash but it was just unprofessional. Instead of cleaning up after themselves they took the fast caps that Jim left to cover up the holes, no they did not cover up the holes with it before they left and they took my shelving adjustment hardware. After complaining to Chris the project manager he sent out another guy to repaint the cabinets and bring back my hardware. Counter Top: Installation guys were great and they did a good job of cleaning up after the job. Installation went well except there were some pen marks that were left over that I had clean up. Seam lines are minimal and the caulking job was excellent. Only part that I was surprised was the final bill was higher than quoted, I should have been notified of any price increases. Project Management: Chris is the project manager I saw him once when I went to the shop to see the cabinets that were delivered. When I had all the issues he never once came out to the job site. I don't know how someone project manages without ever going out the jobsite to check on things or instruct the workers what to do. Fortunately or him he is the son in-law of the owner so complaining about his wont change much. I did all of the scheduling with Tawni or Colline, Chris never once call me about the job or issues, only time he spoke to me is when I called him about complaints. If he wasn't going to come out to the job site I would hope he at least call me to see if I was satisfied with how things came along. read more
