We had some crumbling/chipping along the edge of our manufactured stone kitchen counter which was gradually getting worse. I wasn't sure if it could be fixed. Additionally, we had yellowing discoloration around the faucet fixtures in the kitchen and one of the bathrooms. Again, this discoloration looked like it had permeated the stone itself. It looked very hard to get off. We had our usual plumber remove the faucet fixtures for the service. The two workers who came over from the Stone Alchemist did a really professional job fixing both issues. They put plastic down and hung plastic sheets to prevent creating a mess. They matched the surface color of the kitchen counter with the chip repair. They did what appeared to be multiple stages of polishing the countertops until the stain was totally gone. These guys are the best at hand crafting a countertop. I had a pantry installed with a small cabinet next to it. The cabinet guy didn't include a countertop. Stone Alchemist had a remnant that was a very close match to our existing quartz countertops. He came and measured and returned with a roughed out piece and finished the final cutting at the house. Absolutely fantastic work. I sourced a terrazzo slab but needed a fabricator to do the heavy work of cutting it, making countertops, and installing them. Charvel, Luis, and Mary were incredible. They produced three separate pieces for my newly-built studio unit. First, the main kitchen counter. A dining/coffee counter mounted by a front window. And a small counter ledge for the outside of the same window. Not only were their prices better than most I talked to, but their communication, craftsmanship, and cleanliness on the job site were great as well. They also made and installed the wood sup tops, which a lot of countertop installers don't do; others want to drop the stone only and expect the sup top to be in place before they do their work. I can't recommend The Stone Alchemist enough. I told them their work is easily worth double what they charge (sorry everyone), but I don't think they're taking my advice (haha!).
