Once again perfection! We have used Michael's Carpet's before for new wood flooring on the entire second floor of our daughters' home. We got three quotes and I felt the most confident in Michael's Carpets and pricing was fair. The sales and installation crew was amazing. Fast forward a couple years and our home flooded from a burst hose. This time I didn't even bother getting other quotes because I completely trusted them because they have been in Huntington Beach forever. We replaced the downstairs carpeting in the living room and dining room with waterproof vinyl that looks like wood and it is gorgeous. We also re-carpeted the upstairs bedrooms, stairs and hallway. There were two separate crews for each, and both of them did an excellent job. The stairs were done with a rounded edge that made our stairs look so much nicer. 12 years later and I needed the entire upstairs and staircase done again. I didn't hesitate using Michael's again. About 8-9 years ago, nearly 3 years after being installed, we noticed that the carpets were fading in differently in two different areas. Fading is natural but it looked like we got two different lots during installation. It wasn't bad enough to rip out all of the carpet but Michael came out and had the manufacturer provide a huge refund. When it came time to upgrade again, we knew who to call. This time we installed hardwood in the master suite and hallway, and recarpeted the bedrooms and stairs. Michael and his sons, both as nice as their dad, were great to deal with. We took tons of samples home and waited weeks to decide what we preferred. Price was competitive and the installation went without a hitch. We love the new look and are happy we took care of these guys after they showed us great customer service. read more

They have a great assortment of colors and it's just a pleasure doing business with them. It's hard to even find people like this anymore than the retail stores as a family operated business and their prices are competitive. I just can't rate them give them a higher rating and then what you have which should be a five or 10 so be sure stop by and take a look at the flooring both laminate and carpet . We recently decided to replace the carpet in our 3 upstairs bedrooms and to install wood floor instead of carpet for the landing area on top of the stairwell. Several friends recommended Michael's Carpet in Huntington Beach. We visited the store and Brayden took time to explain the various options and even encouraged us to take a sample home to match our downstair wood floor. The installation was scheduled quickly. It only took a day for the carpet and another for the wood floor. The installation crew moved all the furniture for us. We were very pleased with the material and installation workmanship. Unfortunately, the frame of our wooden shutter door was pulled out of place during the carpet installation. The crew pointed it out to me after the carpet was in place. I went back to the store and Michael assured me that they would take care of the problem. Austin came out to inspect and took pictures. He also assured me that that would be fixed. Adam came yesterday and pinpointed the cause of the damage and found an ingenious way to fix it. It is good as new now. Adam told me that Michael had been in business for over 40 years. His three sons mentioned above are part of this family business. I am impressed by how they conduct this family business by offering a good selection of quality products and custom oriented service. Been sitting on this review wondering if I should write it. Think I should. I had carpet installed this Fall. Mike's was so casual about it that I really wondered if it was happening but I guess it's their style. What has been bugging me is that the one very visible seam from the hallway into one bedroom was poorly done. I mentioned it and someone else came out to see the problem and hastily and not completely satisfactorily made it a bit better. Here's the topper though. I have had so many rounds of carpet installed, 8 homes over the years. Never have I had this much waste leftover. There is enough to do an entire room. I mentioned that to the guy who "fixed" the seam and he shrugged his shoulders and was like "oh well'. If you are on a budget you don't want 10 yards of excess carpet at $35.00 a yard left over that you can't use you might want to skip Mike's. That's $350.00 I would have liked to save. No one has ever installed carpet for me with that much waste so I feel a bit ripped off. Warning. read more

There aren't enough good things to say about Michael's Carpet. We recently moved out of Huntington Beach. We needed new carpet for our new home in Temescal Valley (Corona). Originally we were going to go with Home Depot...let's just say they failed us miserably; between pushing back our installation day and just being all around unreasonable. Enter Michael's Carpet. We were greeted my Michael himself. We explained our situation, and he said he would have people at our house in a couple days to install new carpet and tile floors. Not only were they happy to drive out to Corona to do the install, but they were cheaper than Home Depot and better quality! Best experience ever! Started with a great showroom experience when they allowed me to take multiple samples home to pick the right floor considering the different lighting throughout the day. Scheduling was easy for the estimate and Austin gave me the advice to get my back door slider replaced so they could put new flooring up to the door. He also noted that old floor may need to be removed or front door may not open (he was right). So they ordered samples for me to test at home. We ended up demo'ing the old travertine. Mauricio and his crew were the best crew I've ever had at my home! Phenomenal work!!! They are hard work, efficient, respectful, and as clean as they could be (it was very dusty ripping out old travertine but that's expected). They trapped off everything and moved all of my furniture multiple times to work. I started calling them "Hercules ninjas" because they were so strong and so fast. I thought tear out would be two days and it was done in one!!! All baseboards were replaced and no damage to the existing paint because they removed old baseboards the right way!
