Refined Carpets were punctual, always showed up, and always cleaned up, leaving the job site as clean as they got it. Since we had to move out of our 2nd floor and lived in our garage for a bit, they were very understanding and moved efficiently and gave us access when they could. This company deserves a raving 5 star review, but where do I even begin?? Our house is outside of the area they normally do but it was a good sized job so they accepted. Sean is very professional and he is very knowledgeable about anything flooring. You can call him or text him any time and he will have an answer for you. He also gave suggestions to cut down on cost and he never tried to upsell on anything. I even told him our budget and the entire job actually ended up being well under budget, which I really appreciated. My husband wanted to see what other companies had to offer so I actually contacted at least 8 others. Only 2 of those got to a point of where a quote was given. All other companies weren't even worth the extra minutes spent on the phone, nor the time spent to compose a reply. The first one sent an employee to measure and give a quote but they flat out refused to give a breakdown - not even something as simple as separating the cost of materials and labor. If you encounter such a company, just move on to the next one on your list because that's a red flag. If I'm going to spend a lot of money on something, I think I'd like to know where my money is going. The second one just looked at my digital floor plan and came up with a quote using those measurements. He never asked or offered to send someone to do an accurate measurement(red flag). He didn't reply to my texts(red flag) after giving me his cellphone number. He also didn't send me the quote until weeks later(red flag), which by then I had already made the decision to go with Refined Carpets and Rugs. Had this 2nd company sent me a quote right away, there was a chance I would have gone with them because they were highly referred by a good friend. We needed new flooring for both my house and our condo, so this company lost 2 jobs. Refined Carpets and Rugs installed a total of 2,570 sq ft and it only took them 3 days to finish. All the installers were very polite and very professional. The Lead's name is Gerardo, and he is just as great! Just like Sean, Gerardo will answer any question you have, listen to your concerns, suggest an alternative and mentions all options, and still respect your decision in the end. A few days after the job was done, there was a small issue that was only partially the fault of one of the installers. They sent someone the very next morning to fix this issue. Even that person, who was actually from another company, was also great. Basically, every person and every aspect of this whole entire transaction have all been phenomenal. My house looks F amazing now with new vinyl planks, but the flooring is not even what stands out the most in all of this. It's the customer service. read more
