Working with Jan was the best part: accommodating, responsive, and genuinely trustworthy. The whole sales experience felt honest, with none of the pressure you get elsewhere. They did over 2,000 square feet of our home and the floors look incredible. When we noticed a couple of small spots in the kitchen, they came out immediately to fix it -- no hassle, no excuses. That's the kind of service that earns a customer for life. If you're shopping flooring companies, save yourself the runaround. Ask for Jan. We trusted Sterling completely and they delivered.

We have used Sterling Carpet & Flooring for two different homes now, first for carpet in our…read moreprevious home and more recently for laminate wood plank flooring in our current garage. Both times, the communication was clear, the service was quick, and the process felt easy from start to finish. Very fair deal with many options. What really stands out, though, is Robin. After our wood plank flooring was completed, we had some issues with a leak, and this is where she truly went above and beyond. A lot of companies would have simply said, "That's not our issue," and moved on, but Robin did the opposite. She worked hand in hand with us, helped troubleshoot, delegated to the right people on her team, and made us feel like she was genuinely trying to solve the problem with us. Her responses were incredibly quick, even on her days off, and that level of care is rare. Sterling already earned our business with their quality work and efficiency, but Robin is the reason we will be customers for life. I can't be more grateful for the way she handled everything.

2023 update: there are just too many little things to ignore, after having done our 3rd property…read morewith them. First, because our properties are not in OC, but the surrounding counties, they won't send someone to come and properly measure the space. So the estimate ends up seeming reasonable but then doubles upon work completion. Then there are always extra charges that if you don't read your invoice carefully, they will 'mistakenly' put on there. I've caught a couple of errors. Finally, no one has mentioned this, but their labor warranty is only 6 months. Some of the quarter rounds they've installed for us have started to peel away from the walls, not even a year in. And of course, there will now be a charge to send someone out to repair as it's after 6 months. Not a huge deal, but I hate to be nickeled and dimed so we won't be taking that option. Docking a star for these little annoyances that have come up throughout our various projects, though will probably end up hiring again due to their speed and short lead time.

He helped me choose a beautiful, high-quality laminate floor that was exactly what I was looking for, and he gave me a great price. I was in the middle of a complete home remodel, and Duc was incredibly flexible, working around my construction schedule without any issues. His communication was excellent throughout the entire process--he was always responsive, professional, and kept me updated every step of the way. The installation team did an amazing job as well. They were punctual, professional, and their workmanship was top-notch. The finished floors look beautiful, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Large selection of products and knowledgeable associates asked about what I was looking for and what would work best for me. The manager came out to measure and discuss how the work would be done and go over possible additional charges based on my existing flooring. He provided a quote in a very timely manner and we scheduled the date! They assigned a two man team who showed up promptly on time each morning. The installers were amazing. They took such care in my home and were so respectful and efficient! They assisted with some installation questions I had and got right to work. They were so careful moving my furniture around and I was so touched that they made sure my bed area was cleared at the end of their upstairs workdays so I didn't have to sleep on the couch. They used plastic sheeting to mask off closet and bathroom contents to keep the dust down as much as possible due to the floor leveling process. They set up shop in my garage and at the end of each of the 5 days tidied the work spaces and swept up the garage very thoroughly. F and L..... thank you so much. I know I said it a lot but I really love the excellent job you did! I am so happy with the outcome. I love my floors and give OC Hardwood the highest praise possible!!! My neighbors and friends love the floors and I'm glad I grabbed a couple of business cards because they've been given away to interested parties! My two favorite comments.... What kind of wood is this? LVP!! This looks like House and Gardens TV! My previous cat had passed away November 2025 and I knew I wanted to have the flooring redone before adopting another. They finished on a Friday afternoon and I was able to adopt a rescue cat 2 days later. I do recommend boarding any pets as the work would be quite frightening to them. This was a big deal for me... I am extremely picky and felt such confidence in F and L as consummate professionals as the work progressed. Thank you OC Hardwood! You made my flooring dream come true!!
