Hector and his team, Jesus, addressed every situation, plugged the holes up, evaluated all the electrical work to make its good. Overall a great experience. Although it was unfortunate how things turned out initially, Lighting and Electrical did work to resolve the problems and ended up doing a great job. I had Hector from Lighting and Electrical install can lighting in one of my rooms and had a really good experience. The whole process was fast, easy, and reasonably priced. One of the biggest reasons I'd recommend them is that they also handle the drywall patching after the electrical work. I found out the hard way that a lot of electricians don't do that. I had previously tried to save some money by using a cheaper electrician for another room who didn't include the drywall repair. After having to hire someone else afterward to properly patch everything, I basically ended up paying double. When Hector did the can lighting in my other room, it was so much easier. He handled the electrical work and the drywall patching, so I didn't have to coordinate with another company afterward or get stuck with holes in the ceiling. The job was completed today as promised. They did a terrific job. The job included replacing an old pendant light fixture over a curved stairway with a new fixture that allowed me to lower it and replace the bulbs. At my age I was no longer able to reach and service the old fixture which was mounted on a vaulted ceiling. Several other contractors declined the work due their lack of proper scaffolding. The work was done in a safe and professional manner complete with drop cloths and cleanup at the end. I also had them install five GFCI outlets throughout the kitchen and bath areas. And lastly they installed a new outside security light with a motion detection sensor. I am very pleased with the work and the cost was within a few dollars of their original estimate and lower than I expected as there were 'no add-ons' or last minute 'Oh-Oh, this will cost extra'. We went with Lighting and Electrical to get a few light switches fixed (1 switch needed to be replaced, and 1 switch needed to be triaged for fixing). We also got recessed lights for our guest room. The first time they came, they fixed 1 light switch and installed the 4 recessed lights, and we paid $730. The light switch they fixed was crooked. The brand of recessed lights used wasn't the greatest quality (Sunco). They did diagnostics for the second switch, but told us they would have to come back to fix it and that they would give us a quote to fix it. They didn't send us a quote until I had made multiple attempts to call and message them for it. For the second time they came, the price to fix the light was $195 (they needed to do some rewiring work). I appreciated that they used shoe covers and tried their best to clean up after the work. They also tried their best to straighten the light switch that was crooked during the first job. They were able to straighten the panel, but the switch inside the panel wasn't super straight. Both times, they were late and at least 30 minutes past the time window they provided us. Overall, I would not recommend Lighting and Electrical and would not hire again. read more
