We purchased light fixtures from Light Styles when they used to be on Newport Blvd. They had an amazing selection and great service, so we went back, only to discover that they moved. Their new location is even nicer, with high-end kitchen appliances, as well. We were only there to purchase a ceiling light. And, even though, they were about to close, Jordan was very patient and showed us a variety of light fixtures and answered all of our questions - he even answered some questions we had about our kitchen appliances that we purchased elsewhere! We ended up getting a light fixture that day but it had issues after it was delivered. Jordan worked with us to get the issue resolved and we're very happy with his level of service. Not the same as they used to be at their old location as Craig B states. If you are looking for specific light bulbs don't shop here. I was in the store and unfortunately only got an appliance person. That person ordered light bulbs for me from the Orange store and charged me for delivery only to find that they were the wrong size even though I brought my light bulb in. Perhaps they should not mix lighting with appliances. It seems like they only have Wolf and Subzero products on the appliance side. I've been supplying my customers with there products for years with good quality and customer service, however they have recently relocated to 17th st and now also host high end appliances. Customer service was horrible, they made me feel unwanted because I was just looking for bulb for a track light they sold me and use to comp me at the old store. Christy didn't believe me when I told her it's usually comped as the product is still under warranty. Perhaps it's because I'm a handy man and not a wealthy individual looking for Wolf cook top or sub zero refrigerator. Anyway that's how they made me feel. This place is great. About a year ago, they sold my wife an exterior light fixture that recently went out. I went in to buy a replacement, and without asking they didn't charge me for the replacement because they said they stand by their products. Also, I received excellent installation suggestions, that worked. Unlike a lot of retail stores, this place has tons of inventory. Upon first walking in, I was VERY overwhelmed. They have hundreds and hundreds of lights so be prepared. I needed all new light fixtures for our house and while it was a process that took several visits I was able to get everything I needed with the help of Janna! Not only am I in love with all the fixtures but Janna went above and beyond SEVERAL times during the process. 1. I had a tight timeline and many of the fixtures that I was loving wouldn't be available. Finally on my last visit they had a new chandelier on display and I decided on that one and Janna was able to take the one on display down so I would have it in time. 2. After picking out the large chandelier, I went online to send a photo to family and saw it was priced lower online. I emailed Janna the info and she called me right up and they matched the price that was online (saved hundreds)! 3. While getting the glass out for one of the pendant lights, I broke it ‍. I emailed Janna and she immediately reached out to her rep and it was replaced for free. 4. While my electricians were installing another fixture, they discovered it was faulty so I called Janna who ran around the store, determined they had my exact fixture on display, got it taken down so I could have my electricians finish up within 30 minutes. While picking out lighting takes time and can be frustrating depending on your timeframe and budget, working with a well established company and knowledgeable people is absolutely key! First time caller and I needed a small light socket adapter - I can't remember being talked to more rudely on the phone. Maybe Janna was having a bad day but no excuse. She wasn't familiar with the part although I told her right off that I couldn't find it anywhere, and that I had the mfg part #, to which she finally says curtly "I'll have to write it down". Wow. She got back to me after consulting with the purchasing mgr, who said it will take "weeks" to get. I said "No problem - how many weeks"? Response: crickets. Then, "Try Ace or Home Depot". Wait...What? Then she said hold on she'll get the owner on the phone(I didn't request that!). Then, instead, she gets back on the line reiterates vaguely and with tone - as if I didn't hear her the first time - that it will take weeks, then finally says they CAN'T get the part. This is the only place I go for lights. I know I might pay a bit more and might find the same thing less elsewhere but their service is worth the extra cost. Every time I've gone here no matter how big or small the transaction they always give me excellent service. They have all my purchases held so if I need more they can easily pull it up. They have a HUGE display area and lots of options to ponder. If you don't see what you want they have reams of product information to satisfy what you're looking for. I was in here with my fiancé 8/28/21 about to ask someone in sales to order me two beautiful chandeliers totaling about 10k for our new home (i needed install as well)..... as I'm walking up to talk to the sales lady i was told they had a mask mandate and to put one on or leave... i promptly left and will be taking my business elsewhere. What a way to treat a paying customer, i will be ordering from the manufacturer or from someplace that doesn't treat people this way. What an awesome place to buy lights! Customer Sercive was on point. We were greeted the moment we walked in. This place was pretty busy, but Sandra helped us right away. We told her what we were looking for and she immediately got on it! I mean, she was amazing! Truly took the time to help us look for the right lights. We initially had liked some lights that were about $140 each from Lamps Plus. But Sandra jumped online, and went thru magazines to show us all the possible options they had available. *This place has very unique lights!!!! Every type of style you can imagine. Great showroom! Anyway, they had so many great options that we couldn't decide. The lights we liked ranged from $350 - $1,100, but we don't mind paying that much for lights. It's for our home, after all. I have been dealing with this firm for over 15 years. I have been fortunate that in the past all of the items selected have been in stock. I recently ordered 6 outdoor fixtures. There follow up has been non-existent. Today will be my 4th time following up. The last time I called I was informed that the items had indeed shipped and at the latest would be on 12/28. Lightstyles performed the lighting design on our large home about 6 years ago. The lighting is incredible! We recently had a LED light burn out. It wasn't a simple bulb but an entire replaceable unit. Debbie Bernstein remembered us and looked into finding a replacement. Unfortunately it was a complex light and the manufacturer had discontinued the light and had NO SPARE PARTS. Debbie and the Lightstyles team went out of their way to locate some replacements for us. I came here looking for a design consultation for a kitchen/great room remodel. They came to my house and gave me a no nonsense recommendation for some products, took their advice and WOW. 17 can lights and 30 feet of LED under cabinet light later my place looks incredible and is way better than I could have ever designed it myself. I have had another light shop come out for a consultation and when I said I wanted to install it myself they flat out refused to sell me anything. And I thought car dealers were slimy...these people will rob you blind! First they tell me an item is discontinued. Then the next day they tell me the price has been raised $50. When I tell them I found it online for less, they start telling me all the problems they have had with the glass being inconsistent (which is funny because they had previously told me it was manufactured glass and very consistent). THEN, after matching the online price, they tell me there will be a restocking fee of 25% if I don't like them! Walking into Light Bulbs Etc. was such a surprise because I expected the store to be white walls and wire racks. Instead, I was greeted by a very attractive room of gorgeous colorful light fixtures. I have come to believe that this is THE place to buy all your lighting needs when redecorating your home. Employee to square footage ratio in any store is very important to excellent customer service and Light Bulbs Etc. has got this area more than covered. For a specialty store, I was amazed with the number of employees here. And on top of that, they were genuinely friendly. I was immediately helped and while they didn't carry one of the bulbs I needed, the employee graciously called to order it for me (but the person on the other end said that I had to order it from the manufacturer's website). If you go online, you can find a 20% off coupon applicable to anything in the store! But it's a one time deal so choose your items carefully. read more

Been going here for years. I live around the corner. I am a proponent of buying local. I like the layout of the store and their inventory. My primary critique of this business, as with numerous others you see here, is with the attitude of some of the employees and/or owner(s). When I first moved to the area in 2007 I went in looking for a fixture and remember saying to myself these people didn't give a s*#t about me. Been back many times - remember I live right around the corner so it's very convenient. On some occasions I have been attended to by an employee who cared and was very helpful - unfortunately on other occasions by someone with apparently no time for someone like me. I like this business and I want it to survive / even thrive but if they care about what their customers think and can accept criticism, I would suggest they take serious lessons in customer service. read more
