Anyways, I'm attaching the screenshot of the message from you. REVIEW: We wanted someone to design the landscape lighting for our backyard project. We already have plants. I reached out here on yelp and was told to call them, so I did and we set up an appointment for an estimate. Later, someone called me to say they actually don't do this kind of thing at all, and cancel the appointment - they are a "landscaping company" and don't work on just lighting design projects. In fact the guy I spoke with said *he* was the lighting designer.. Why does the lighting designer at a company formerly known as Sprinklers and Lighting.. not do lighting design unless you are also using them to do plants? Super bizarre. I contracted with Benpro to redo part of our backyard drainage, pavers and turf. It was approximately 200sqft of work. They came out and worked through the project in about a week. The first impression was decent, but soon after we saw some of the issues arise. The jointing sand they used did not adhere and left gaps throughout the paver area. They came out to add more polymeric sand 2-3 times after and eventually said that the sand must be faulty and used a new sand. This held up longer but after a few months we have large gaps. I filled some of these with sand I purchased and it held up pretty well, however there are still significant gaps. I had suggested that perhaps there was a leak under the pavers, which perhaps was causing water to continually seep up, but this wasn't really addressed as a concern. They also installed a French drain as well as two other drains that lead to the street. Some work, the French drain seems to clog pretty easily. Overall it was about a $10-11k job and quite honestly I regret using them. I sent a follow up email recently. I appreciate that they tried to fix the issues, but I'm not sure how many times I should have to ask them to come fix their work before I just write it off as a bad experience, which is where I'm at now with this. It looks like many others have had good experiences with them, mine unfortunately was not. I don't have a ton of recourse at this point other than to share my experience so others are aware of what they may be getting into with this company. For what I paid, the quality just wasn't there. read more

They arrived with all the perfectly selected plants by Felipe, along with the river rocks, dirt, and mulch, and proceeded to fully landscape all the required areas in front and back of our home. Wow! They exceeded my expectations in every way. When we purchased our home 4 years ago, it had outdoor lighting in the front and back. It was kind of working, but not really. Sometimes some of the lights worked, sometimes none of it worked. After trying to fix it myself I called someone I knew. He purchased all new lights and got everything working... for about two weeks. Fast forward two years, only one half of my front yard lights worked. I searched Yelp and found Pacific Lighting & Sprinklers. I was nervous to call them because I thought they wouldn't be interested in something I consider to be a small job. They were SO NICE! The first time they came to the house was to get an idea of what was needed. For each appointment i would receive a couple of email reminders leading up to the appointment, then a communication with the name of who would be coming. I was not home, so my wife met with them. She was so impressed. Once they saw what was needed they reached out to me to schedule a troubleshooting appointment. With my unstable system and some of it tying into my pool equipment, that completely made sense to me. During the troubleshooting session Felipe was able to get my front lights working within just a few minutes. The backyard is much more complex. He spent a couple of hours looking at various parts of it. He figured out what needed to be done. I have to say I was impressed with his confidence, but I was silently skeptical he actually had it figured out, especially with the pool equipment. A final appointment was set after they provided a quote. I called the office to discuss the quote. As soon as I said my name, they knew exactly who I was. No quote number needed, No looking me up by my phone number. It made me feel special and that I wasn't just another buck to them. Classy company. Today was the final appointment. I was as work. They showed up right on time and got to work. It took a couple of hours and then they said they were done. When my wife told me, I was happy, but again, slightly skeptical. After I arrived home I waited until it got dark. Then the manic happened. All of my lights worked! And it worked through the pool equipment! Beautiful. Part of my quote was to replace broken lights. What I didn't expect was they also replaced the lights in my waterfall! What? I did not expect that. What great surprise! I'm so thrilled that I found a great company that communicates, does what they say they will do, is knowledgeable, and not outrageously priced. I requested to troubleshoot a drain pipe that was not working causing a lot of water to collect in my back yard. Felipe gave me a quote and explained exactly what needed to be done to fix the problem. The team came back in a couple of days. They installed channel drains across the yard and then covered them with river rock. They also installed other drains throughout the yard. The guys did an excellent job and the cleaned up when finished. I would highly recommend BENPRO. read more

In 2021 Pacific Lighting & Sprinklers (now BENPRO) upgraded our yard lighting and added lighting to our patio. The yard word was excellent but the patio lights never dimmed very much. Two weeks ago, the dimmer failed completely, so I had them out again to replace it. Turns out it was full of water, indicating that it had not been installed properly. The replacement (same brand and model) turned on OK but there was again very poor dimming. Installer agreed but offered no explanation. I looked up reviews of this dimmer on Amazon and found out there is an range adjustment screw inside the dimmer that solves the problem, which I was able to do myself. Would be nice if BENPRO reimbursed us for the second dimmer. read more

After I got a couple of quotes I had him come back to change things and finalize our project. He was very patient and had good suggestions. When the day of the project came, he came by and made sure that all the people working knew what was to be done. The guys who worked at our house were amazing. Are these 5 stars correct? I called for an appointment and told the person on the phone that I had some landscape lights out and wanted them fixed before a party on Saturday. My pool guys had cut a low voltage wire when the were doing some work. We scheduled for an estimate today, Tuesday, and she told me that they could either do the work while they were here or she could fit me in on Friday. Alfred shows up 50 minutes late and then proceeds to tell me that "this is what they do" but don't have time for me. I informed him that I was told that I could be fit in for Friday but again tells me he's too busy. As he's walking away he mutters "What a waste of Time." This is very unprofessional and my thoughts exactly. I could have called someone else to get the work done in time but this company does not seem to respect other peoples time. I am very happy that I found Pacific L&S! They did an excellent job on redoing my irrigation systems both in the front and the back! Felipe and his guys redid my entire sprinkler system. I had two old valves replaced out with new ones, and my sprinkler system was redone in the front yard and backyard. Previous install had a lot of issues like rotating sprinkler heads, fixed sprinkler heads, and drip systems all on the same section. Also, large patches of grass were dying, and water wasn't adequately reaching some areas. After the installation, there were a few corrections that needed to be addressed, but Angie at Pacific L&S scheduled someone promptly to fix the issue. Immediately after the install, a different contractor damaged my lawn and Pacific L&S sent someone out to repair a damaged sprinkler head. Initially they were going to charge me for the maintenance, but it ended up being an easy fix, and they said I didn't have to pay, which was very generous of them! They should have charged me for coming out, but didn't! In addition to redoing my sprinkler system, I had Felipe also consult with me on landscaping plans. I have a few fruit trees, and he helped me find a good location for planting a new avocado tree. I paid for them to find and plant an avocado tree for me. Initially I didn't like the tree his guys picked for me (I didn't know what a good young avocado tree should look like), so I scheduled to have their tree sent back, but after I visited a tree nursery myself, I realized what a great quality tree they selected for me, and kept the original tree. They also gave it to me for an excellent price! (Comparable avocado trees that size were much more expensive at the nursery I visited.) All in all, every person I interacted with (from Angie at the office, Felipe overseeing the project, Luis coming back twice to make minor additions and changes) was professional, accommodating, easy to work with, and helpful!
