Good selection of lighting. However they lost a sale due to the lack of interest from the sales person that greeted me at the door. Was looking for a specific lamp with wattage that I needed. He would not explain the wattage difference between the old incandescent light bulbs and new led light bulbs. Based on the lack of information, I chose to not purchase the two lamps I was looking at. I was at Lowe's today. Sales person was very helpful and I now understand the differences in light bulbs. Now I can look on-line for the lamps I want. read more

The saleswoman "S" was some help, but did not get us what we needed in the end. We ended up going to the Riverside and Upland stores - that's where we got great customer service. We were looking for outdoor post lamps and went into the Brea store. We found what we liked and was told our first choice was not in stock and would not be available until February 2023. We asked S if there were other stores that carried is and she said "no". (in the end we got what we wanted between Riverside and Upland). Our second choice she said there was only one in stock. We asked if we could take the display, she said "no". She said Upland had it, but did not offer to call them. I needed a couple of desk lamps, and the ones I bought on Amazon cast a very bright white fluorescent light that looked so ugly, industrial, & gross that it gave me a headache. Driving by Lamps Plus, I decided to go in. The first person to help me was Korbin who realized that the simple gooseneck lamp I was looking for wasn't available in the store, but could be ordered. I had a great experience at the store. We were even told that within 60 days if we find our purchased items on sale online at Lamps Plus or in store they refund the difference with no hassles- right over the phone!!!! What lies! We weren't ever told by the employee Omar or the Manager that there was a difference or that Lamps Plus "Open Box" existed AND that it doesn't count towards any Flash Sales or anything in Open Box for refunds. When I called for the refunded difference, Omar said he never told us about the above mentioned information because we were shopping new at the store. Helloooo! How will customers know the difference if they aren't told? We only saw the flash sale because they signed us up for emails and rewards. It doesn't sound like a lot of money, but it's the irritating principle of it all- not to mention bad business and customer service. It was $199.99, discounted to $171.99 THEN on sale to $139.86. Last summer I went to this Lamps Plus like I always do ...Eric was there and I told him I wanted a very big powerful fan for my patio that would lift my patio furniture off the ground . I wanted a fan that would really move the air on my patio I was sick of the one I had it did nothing . The only reason we drove over to Lamps Plus, is because they had sent us a $20.00 off coupon. I purchased two wall lights for approximately $100.00 each. Lamps Plus gave us the two cardboard taped up boxes. The boxes looked like they were in good condition, so we drove home and had the electrician come out to install them. We opened the boxes and on the main chrome part of the light fixture, there was a noticeable blemish. We immediately called the store& we were told to drive that light back and they would mail us a new one when they got it back in stock. We told them we were over 35 miles away and this was their product mistake. They said No, we need the damaged product in our store then we can re- order. We drove over to the Riverside location and they took it . We had to order online. They did NOT Honor the coupon. so we paid full price. When we returned the damaged light, the refund was less then what we paid. The Riverside location told us to call Corporate. Well, you know they don't call their customers back. We we're screwed by lamps Plus! We will never go back To Lamps Plus. just Buy your light or light fixtures online - you will have a better experience. This is why the stores are going out of business. Bye-bye! read more

There is a serious customer service problem at this location. I was being ignored by the staff when I visited on 2/25/22. I was left to walk around with no one offering to help. I even walked up to the counter and was ignored. No one asks if I needed anything or said one moment if they were assisting another customer. I didn't see the same treatment for the other non-ethnic patrons who walked in after me. I spoke to my friend about my experience and she said the same thing happened to her recently when she visited this location. I will just continue to order online from LampsPlus as I know this is not just an accidental oversight. If you are one of the good employees at Lamps Plus, my apologies. But to those who are intentionally selecting who to sale to... I offer this advice: Keep that behavior up and you may not have a job for much longer. read more

Could it be I'm falling in love with lighting fixtures . . . Still searching for the perfect chandelier for entryway. Took a drive to Brea to check out their Lamps Plus store, located south/west of the Brea Mall. Easy to find. Right on Imperial Hwy off the 57 freeway. Lots of free parking in their strip mall parking lot. The Brea showroom seems larger than their Cerritos counterpart. Many of the same chandeliers, lamps, ceiling fans in both stores. And they're having a sale. Cleaning out the old to make room for the new 2014 stock. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a young man, hanging from the ceiling cleaning chandeliers. "Welcome to Lamps Plus" he hailed with a smile. After a bit a saleslady approached to let me know she was around if I had questions. Good customer service. A recorded announcement advertised that Lamps Plus features low wattage lighting, and I noticed not all the chandeliers were lit. But enough to make the store bright and inviting. Sounds like they listened to Yelper Nam N. (1/7/2011)'s complaint of too many lights on at the same time. All in all, I don't think the drive was worth the effort. Tho the store is larger their merchandise is pretty much the same as the Cerritos store. Plus they have more product online. Can't find it in the store, browse Lampsplus.com read more
