Had several discussions with CTL and it was determined that there was a bad batch of lights of this type sent from China. A big thanks to Rolfe @ CTL who didn't pass the buck to others, but simply took responsibility for the issues and has since sent me many replacements units. ALL of the replacement units have had no issues for several years, so a good product overall.

Having a lot of issues with Cybertech lighting lately. First off the quality of their products has…read morereally gone down over the years. Purchased some plug and play T8 led that work either with a ballast or without in the past. They work all right a lot of them are blowing out after a year or so. Decided to pick up some t5 plug and play bulbs thinking they work the same way. The paperwork that came with them was very vague and I didn't say anything about bypassing the ballast. I called Cybertech and spoke with their operator Maritza ( if you can avoid getting help from her at all you probably should because she does not know anything and will lie to you blatantly and then deny it later) she left me on hold for about 10 to 15 minutes and then came back with some other lady on the phone and she told me oh yes it works either way with or without a ballast. So we tore out the ballast installed the bulbs and when we fired up the fixture it turned on for about two seconds and then burned out. Luckily there weren't any fires And nobody got hurt! When we called him to tell them what happened and tell them we would like replacement bulbs or a credit they told us to take a hike and said that there were instructions on the bulb ( which there absolutely was nowhere on the bulbs saying do not use without a ballast it says works with most ballasts no where on there does it say do not use without a ballast ) So basically Cybertek is telling us to take a hike over something that cost them $20, and we have spent thousands and thousands of dollars with them this year! My recommendation to you is to do a Google search for LED lighting suppliers in my area before you start to deal with Cybertech. There are so many options available and Cybertek is really not somebody you want to be dealing with take it from me we have been through the ringer's with them. If you like having products that they do not honor or back in anyway Or if you like waiting three months in order to return something that is defective or being charged a 20% restocking fee to exchange something for equal or greater value. If you do buy something from them make sure you don't try to install it and less it is between the hours of 10 AM and 2 PM because their tech-support is only available in that small window of the day! Justin
