Also i'd like to commend Jasmin at the check out counter assisting me to apply for a home depot credit card I got approved and got a nice discount On April 18, I had to return the AC as i needed a bigger BTU, Roman at the return counter was so professional in helping me out get a replacement online making sure all my information are correct and getting back my original discount. I run a construction business and shop at Home Depot multiple times a day across Orange County. Unfortunately, the Brea location consistently feels like it doesn't have a functioning Pro Desk. The line at the registers next to the Pro Desk is often 8-10 customers deep while staff stand nearby instead of helping move the line along. As a contractor on a tight schedule, that lost time adds up quickly. On top of that, Pro Loaders are frequently unavailable when needed, which makes larger material pickups inefficient. I'd really like to see better support for contractors at this location -- quicker assistance at busy times and more reliable loader availability would make a big difference. read more

We went in to buy a washer, again. My last one was purchased 1.5 years ago, and was a Maytag. Different brand this time- we were helped by Claudia, who came over from the returns section to help us. She was efficient and cut and dry with the charges and delivery options. We then bought some other items and the check our area was self check out counters, with no dedicated cashiers. Overall a good visit. Update- they tell you the night before delivery the time frame, And it's a 4 hour window. They made me buy the hose lines, although I didn't need them. They threatened to not hook up the washer if I didn't spend $36 for the lines, although installation was supposedly free. Hmm. I went in to pick up a toilet I ordered online. Home Depot's website had a larger selection of toilets than Lowe's & prices were pretty comparable. I didn't want to get a toilet from Costco Direct, Amazon, or Wayfair because I read horror stories about people unable to return a big, heavy toilet online! I ordered 2 toilets, but unfortunately, the 2nd toilet is delayed & won't arrive for another 4 days. Eek! Austin in Customer Service was SO great - he promptly greeted me & offered to help. He wheeled out my boxed toilet on a cart, ready to go. I explained I wanted to open it to make sure there are no cracks, damage, missing parts, etc. I didn't want to get this bulky, heavy thing home & unpack it just to repack it & bring it right back. He helped open it for me & checked it out with me! He also told me we can return it if we get it home & find something wrong at that point. Super friendly & accommodating! I went to the paint dept next. Maybe I haven't been there in a while, but they have a pretty cool touchscreen device to help with finding colors, color coordinating, etc. The paint guys were friendly, efficient, & even offered me paint stirrers & a metal can opener before I left with my $40 can of Behr paint. I had a very disappointing experience at this location, specifically with an employee named Nico. When I asked for help finding an item, he seemed disinterested and unmotivated. Instead of assisting me, he gave vague directions and quickly walked away. Customer service is a huge part of why I choose certain stores over others, and unfortunately, this visit left a bad impression. I expect staff to be at least somewhat engaged and willing to assist and that wasn't the case here. Hopefully, management addresses this. read more

He was knowledgeable about the paint/stain options and also about how it would look on different types of wood. He took extra time with us to make sure we found something we were really happy with. He was patient and knowledgeable with answers pertaining to outdoor lighting, as well as ceiling fan options . After being helped by Joe, Nakita in Customer Service was just as professional and courteous . She carefully ordered the dozen or so electrical items that were to be delivered . This location on imperial hwy has been here for over 15 years (based on how long I've been going) and it has always been consistent. The aisles are always well kept, there are usually plenty of employees that you can flag down for help, and their garden options are always so plentiful. I brought in some high precision mdf pieces from my $4,000 studio desk and they said they can't cut wood from outside the store. What is wrong with businesses now days. Problem: if you show a product available in your store and a customer orders it, Home Depot should be able to fulfill the order. Ordered our appliances 2 months ago. Received a text stating delivery was scheduled and to wait for a text to confirm morning or afternoon delivery. The next text changed delivery by two weeks. It's as if the Home Depot process is so poorly designed that they literally confirmed delivery and then when they went to load the truck. The prices are average for a fresh tree but I like that they will cut/trim the bottom, wrap and help you place in/on your vehicle and assist to secure if you need them to. Having spent north of 150k at this store alone I was very disappointed with the service from the kitchen and appliance department. I ordered kitchen countertops and installation was terrible resulting in a partial refund as they couldn't reproduce in a timley manner. We got through it. Against my better judgment I ordered appliances. 8 months later I still haven't received my appliances; Brea Home Depot provided no help. I was treated as if I was the problem. Regina, Nina, and Brandy were the reps assisting me. I spent weeks trying to get answers and one would deflect to the other. Ultimatly, Geysi fixed my problem at the very end stating that the order Regina put in was once again incorrect. I got my order 8 months later finally. Regina was always focused on selling kitchens and always made comment to pushing her stores numbers. Nothing wrong with that, until you need assistance from a mistake she caused. I once made a 6pm appointment with her and walked in the store for 2 hours as she was selling another kitchen to another customer. No regard for someone else's time. After I furnished my money, I came second and it was evident she was all about producing the sale but not so much ensuring the follow through to customer satisfaction. Anyways, all this to say my loyalty to the Brea Home Depot is gone. read more

I absolutely hate writing this review because I love Home Depot and have had great customer service from them over the years. This review is strictly for the appliance department which has left me in a huge bind. Last month I walked in to see if I could get help trying to find the right size oven, cooktop and dishwasher for my kitchen as I am having new countertops installed. I could not find the correct size appliances because my kitchen was reconstructed (by Home Depot) over 20 years ago. Appliance sizes have changed a bit (not by much) and I wanted to make sure I was buying correct sizes to avoid returns (which I was told returns at Home Depot are not offered when buying appliances from them). So the lady (won't mention names here) talked me into using their outside service to come to the house and measure my appliances so that they were accurate. So I paid the $100 and was told they would call me within 24 hours to set up the appointment. This took a week and they just said they were busy, no apologies but whatever. Then they said first available appointment was on November 28 which meant I had to wait another 2 weeks. When they finally came out to measure the appliances, the gentlemen said "Home Depot will be calling you within the next 48 hours with your options of which appliances will fit. I never heard back from Home Depot and after 8 days I decided to reach out to them. Meanwhile, my kitchen project is at a stand still because of all of this wasted time. I had called early in the morning so nobody was in the appliances department yet. The gentleman who answered the phone said he would leave a message so that I would get a return call as soon as she came in. Never heard from anyone so at the end of the day I was forced to reach out again. The lady in appliances told me I misunderstood their service which requires the installation of appliances to be completed by Home Depot. This was not mentioned to me when I originally came into the store looking for advice. This lady literally made the assumption that Home Depot would be doing the work on my kitchen. She did not ask me what the plan was for my project, it was all based on her incorrect assumption. I told her on the phone that I have contractors. She then told me there was no way she could assist me further and this was met with a bad attitude. She told me I misunderstood her and basically placed the blame on me. So long story short (as short as I could make it), I have been delayed over a month, I still have no answers and I'm out $100 for no apparent reason. I will need to seek assistance from another appliance store although my countertops are already being fabricated so I probably won't be able to get new appliances at this point anyway. I've been to this location a few times over the years and have never had any issues. I can always find the products that I need in-store and associates are always available if you have any questions. Recently, I placed a pick-up in-store order because I was going to be in the area. Everything went smoothly, as to be expected, as I have used this service numerous times at the City of Industry location. The parking lot was pretty busy on a Saturday morning, but there was no wait for the Pick-Up windows. I was able to get my order really quickly and I was on my way out not soon after. I like the sales that they have in this store, because sometimes they do differ from the other locations. Paint Department Review: My boyfriend and I stopped in on 5/16 to grab paint and supplies for our master bedroom. This isn't our local Home Depot but we were in the area and decided to stop into this one instead of the Fullerton location. They were only letting a certain amount of people in at a time (May 2020) but the wait was not very long for a Saturday afternoon. We went straight to the paint department. We were looking at colors and trying to figure out what we wanted to do and a younger associate (sorry I didn't get his name!) helped us with all the questions we had. We ended up going with a color and product that we knew we would love. Juan and another older gentlemen were at the paint counter and helped us. The line to check out wasn't very long and there was a cashier that was directing us to the next available cashier. We will def be back at this location and soon ! read more
