I have to admit, I never even gave Lamps Plus a thought until we bought a house! My parents recommended it as they got every single light fixture from Lamps Plus, so one weekend hubby and I decided to go take a look. Whoa, the store is chock full of every type of light fixtures; chandeliers, lamps, desk lamps, solar lamps...you name it! The prices could have been better, some of the lamps were very expensive, but we were able to find many of them which were reasonably priced and looked really nice! We were able to get all our lighting in a couple trips to this store, and here was the best part; they have a great 60 day price adjustment policy! Our chandelier, which we purchased for 600 went on sale to 400 a couple weeks later, and when I brought it up the nice sales lady promptly found my receipt and credited me back 200! Came into the story around 5:38 looking for a new chandelier. Narrowed it down to two choices, and at 5:58 was told by three store employees in a two minute period that they are closing. We said we understood and were making up our mind. Finally The last employee basically blocked our path and wouldn't let us past her to get back to the item we wanted to view. This was at 5:59 when I pulled my phone out. I have never seen a store so eager to usher customers out. After talking to multiple staff members it seems their knowledge of ceiling fans is limited. I decided to shop in store so I would have help determining the best fan size, blade number and downroad length; however staff was not helpful and my questions were not answered. I ended up purchasing a fan, but also having to go back to the store to purchase the correct downroad size as what I was initially told to purchase was too short for my ceiling height. It's frustrating to say the least when you feel more informed then staff that specifically works at a store specializing in lighting and ceiling fans. I went into the store a couple of days ago and spoke to a very nice sales woman named Jennifer Lamarra. I was having an issue with an item that I purchased there a while back. She told me that she would look up the warranty information for my product, but that it might take a day. I came back a few days later but Jennifer happened to be off this day. I ended up speaking with the store manager. His name was Robert Berge and he could not have been more friendly and helpful. Lamp Plus is seriously one of the best places to purchase lighting fixtures. They have a large selection to choose from and if you don't see something in their store chances are they have it online. I will actually go to the store to see it and purchase it online. This is the reason for the three stars and not 5. In store there are so many people working there however they love to talk amongst themselves. They welcome you when you walk in and will greet you however they will quickly walk away. Also they have great displays but rarely have more than one of that item in the store if they have it at all. Definitely join the online email notifications. I really like the Lamps Plus in Brea.The employees are so nice and they have a good deal of merchandise. I bought a fan there in 2020 which sat around for a while and was finally installed. All I can say is that I love this fan and wanted another to match for the dining room. They no longer had it but a wonderful employee named Richard said he would try to find it for me. I waited on the phone a while and another guy came on the phone to tell me that Richard had to call more stores since he couldn't find it yet. When Richard came back on he told me he finally found it. Needless to say I purchased it and they even said it was free shipping! Bad customer service. Brought a table lamp that was a floor model. When I got home saw lamp had no on off switch. Went back to store to get switch. Instead of taking one off of other lamp they said I would have to order a switch. Why couldn't they have changed the switch from another floor sample lamp and placed an order for their lamp and wait for delivery. read more

She was very helpful and was concerned that we get the exact lighting that we wanted. Since the large hanging outside lantern was out of stock, she told us that she would call us the moment that the warehouse was restocked. She was true to her word and did so enthusiastically. Sarah did an amazing job at capturing our likes. A++++!!!!! From start to finish our experience with Lamps Plus was amazing. From the initial phone call with Claudia, to the in-store experience with her, to the online order tracking, & fast delivery. I don't think we could've asked for a better experience. We were under the gun to get mirrors for our bathroom remodel when another retailer failed to tell us that what we had ordered a month in advance was now backordered. In comes Lamps Plus & rockstar Claudia to save the day! We found the most beautiful mirrors, and while we were worried that we would not get them in time, they arrived at our doorstep only 2 days later! AMAZING! I wanted to call the store today just to let Claudia know the mirrors were in and to thank her for such great service, but instead spoke with the store manager, Robert ( I think), since Claudia was with a customer at the time. Even Robert was fantastic. So kind, friendly and appreciative that I had taken the time to let them know what a great job they were doing. We recently purchased a couple chandeliers from the Brea Store. Although we had to stand around for 25 minutes before we were assisted, the purchase transaction was relatively smooth. There was an issue with the scheduling of the installation. Our salesperson told us she would call us to resolve the issue, but we never received any follow up calls from her. I had to call the store back a few times and return with a copy of my installation estimate, because Lamps Plus couldn't find their copy. The issue was eventually resolved. This is the reason for the 2 star rating. The 2 Lamps Plus installers who came to our home called to advise they were en route, were on time, professional, very patient and easy to work with. The installation team receives a rating of 5 stars! To the Lamps Plus management, emphasize to your employees that customer service doesn't stop after the completion of the sale. read more

Went in today to look at pendant lights. Store manager Robert stopped by to see if we needed help. We ended up asking about our kitchen remodel and he spent a good 40 minutes educating us on the best lighting for our kitchen. He suggested recessed light locations for our kitchen and suggested a few pendant lights. Extremely knowledgeable gentleman. Absolutely horrible customer service! After picking up an order for my mother, and being assured that all items were there, I realized that the order was missing items when I arrived home. My mother went to the store today and explained that I was not given all the items in the order. The store manager basically told her that she was lying and it would take them over a week to investigate to find out if the package was really missing. After my mother threatened to call corporate, one of the the sales associates went to the back and miraculously found the package after a few minutes. Maybe that should have been their initial step instead of wasting an hour of everyone's time and insulting a customer. Never going back. read more

It was a little overwhelming and difficult to browse through the merchandise as all items were crammed in. They did have A LOT of lamps, fixtures, etc but nothing unique or eye catching. Cayla and staff are awesome. I bought a fan for our master bedroom 4 years ago and the thing has broken down on us 3 times already. We even got it installed by Lamps Plus. I called and talked to Cayla the store manager and she knew I was over it and just had me pick out a new fan which I paid for and she covered the install and afterwards had me return the old fan and gave me a full refund. I called lamps plus looking for a specific item. I called to see if they had it in stock. She said yes we have one but we close at 6. I said ok we will be there. We drove all the way over there, she seemed annoyed to help us. Mind you it was the same person on the phone cuz of her accent. Then she says oh we only have one and it's the display. We can't sell the display to you. Okay well that is why I called to make sure I didn't waste my gas. Then she rushed away when I wanted to see what the floor sample looked like when the base lit. I recently made a purchase of a ceiling mounted light fixture here and the staff was very accommodating and will work with you to figure out your style you are trying to achieve and they will recommend only the necessary item and will not upsell you like most places.
